一般过去时
一、一般过去时的构成
主语 + 动词的过去式(+宾语/表语)
二、一般过去时的用法
1. 一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,一般过去时的谓语动词要用过去式,常和表示过去的时间状语连用。如 yesterday, last night, in 2017, two days ago 等。 I watched the football match on TV last night. 昨天晚上,我在电视上看了那场足球比赛。
1. 表示过去经常或反复发生的动作,常与 often, always, usually 等频度副词连用。
I often went to school by bike last year.
去年我经常骑自行车去上学。
I usually played football in the afternoon when I was ten. 我十岁的时候经常在下午踢足球。
三、动词过去式的变化规则
1. 一般在动词原形末尾直接加-ed。
look—looked
play—played
1. 以字母 e 结尾的动词, 直接加 -d。
live-lived
hope—hoped
3.末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节动词,先双写这个辅音字母,再加-ed。
stop—stopped
plan—planned
4.末尾以辅音字母加y结尾的动词,先变y为i,然后再加-ed。
study-studied
worry—worried
1. 不规则动词的过去式需特殊记忆。
have—had
do/does—did
are—were am/is—was
go—went say-said
think—thought teach—taught
sit-sat cut-cut
四、一般过去时的句式变化
1. 陈述句 一般疑问句
(1)含有动词 was/were 的句型
将 was 或 were 提到句首,并大写第一个字母,末尾加问号。
肯定回答:Yes,主语 was/were.
否定回答:No,主语 wasn’t/weren’t.
—Were you late yesterday? 昨天你迟到了吗?
—Yes,I was./No,I wasn’t.
是的,我迟到了。/不,我没有迟到。
(2)含有实义动词过去式的句型
在句首加助动词did,首字母大写,句中的动词要用原形。
肯定回答: Yes, 主语 +did.
否定回答:No,主语 didn’t.
—Did you go to the park last Sunday?
上个星期天你去公园了吗?
-Yes,I did./No,I didn’t.
是的,我去了。/不,我没有。
1. 肯定句 否定句
(1)含有动词 was/were 的句型
其否定形式是在 was 或 were 后加 not。
They were in New York last week.
上周他们在纽约。
They weren’t in New York last week.
上周他们不在纽约。
(2)谓语为实义动词时
实义动词要用 didn’t 来否定,didn’t 后要使用动词原形。
Mike went to the farm last Sunday.
上个星期天迈克去了农场。
Mike didn’t go to the farm last Sunday.
上个星期天迈克没有去农场。
