此时,follow含有 “在...后”之意,其后不用再加behind.

与arrive late for同义.
区别: be late for侧重状态, arrive late for侧重动作.

常用结构:
arrive in+大地方(城市;国家等)

辨析:
on time
in time
“准时”,指某事按照规定或指定的时间发生.
“及时”,指不迟到或接近规定的时间做某事.

②保留(后可接时间段)

宾语补足语可以是形容词,副词,动词-ing形式或介词短语等.

注意:在含有if引导的条件状语从句的复合句中,如果主句用一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时表将来.

辨析:
lend
borrow
“借给;借出”,指主语把自己的东西 “借出”给别人使用.
“借;接用”,指主语从别人处 “借入”东西自己使用.
注意:borrow 和lend是短暂性动词,不能与表示时间段的状语连用.
