一区:什么是定语从句
▶定语: 简单来说就是一个形容词,用来修饰名词或代词。
e.g. delicious food excellent police beautiful girl
▶定语从句:在主句中充当定语成分,同样起到形容词的作用,用来修饰名词或代词的句子。(在翻译的时候会出现“......的”)
e.g. Those are oranges (that I bought for kids.) 这些是我买给孩子们的橙子。

牛刀小试:把下列句子当中的定语和定语从句划下划线。
1.Pan Zhanle(潘展乐) is a young athlete.
2.Pan Zhanle is an athlete who swims very fast.
Tips: 位置:定语从句一般位于所修饰的____词或___词之后,故称作后置定语。

先行词:被定语从句修饰的词叫先行词。(名词 代词)
关系词:引导定语从句的词。(引导词)
关系代词在句中的作用:连接作用、代替先行词、在从句中中充当成分

三区:关系代词如何选择
▶策略:
1. 确定先行词是指人还是物;
2. 定语从句缺什么成分?主语、宾语或者定语;
3. 对号入座,选择正确的关系代词。
★观察并了解关系代词的用法
1 The book that/which is on the desk is mine.
2 The book (that/which) I lost was found .
Rule1: 当先行词是 (人/物)时,由句___知,从句缺主语,关系代词用 ;由句___知,从句缺宾语时,用_____________。
3 The teacher who/that teaches English is kind.
4 The girl (who/that/whom) you met is Lucy.
Rule2: 当先行词是______(人/物)时,由句___知,从句缺主语时,关系代词用 ;由句___知,从句缺宾语时,关系代词用_____________。
Rule3:由句②、④知,关系代词在定语从句中做 语时,可省略。
5 I know a boy whose father is an actor.
6 He lives in a room whose window faces north.
Rule4: 在从句中做定语,既可以修饰______也可以修饰_____,表示________关系,译为“什么人/物的”。
