结合“Go for it”主题,关键词主要集中在“尝试、行动、坚持、帮助、鼓励”等相关词汇,如try, practice, keep, help, volunteer, encourage, go for it等。
例如,语篇中出现“She is a volunteer. She often helps old people do some shopping on weekends.”,结合后半句“帮助老人购物”的语境,可推断“volunteer”意为“志愿者”;再如,“He wants to go for it to overcome the difficulty.”,结合“go for it”(勇敢尝试)和“difficulty”(困难),可推断“overcome”意为“克服”。
例如,语篇中出现“He was nervous at first, but he tried his best to speak English in class. Finally, he got a big round of applause and felt proud.”,通过“nervous(紧张的)→ tried his best(尽最大努力)→ proud(自豪的)”的情感变化,能推断出人物“从胆怯到勇敢尝试、最终获得成功”的过程,进而理解“Go for it”带来的积极结果。

Swimming is a great way to stay healthy and have fun! But it can be dangerous if we don’t do it the right way. In China, drowning (溺水) is the main cause of accidental death (意外身亡) among children and teenagers. So, let’s learn some easy tips to swim safely.
◆Warm Up Before You Swim
One of the most important things you can do to stay safe while swimming is to warm up before you get into the water. You can do simple exercises like jumping jacks, arm circles, and leg swings to get your body ready for swimming.
◆Learn to Swim in a Right Way
If you don’t know how to swim, take lessons from a professional coach Even if you can swim a little, learning the right skills can help you stay safe in the water.
◆Build a Strong Body

◆Know What to Do in an Emergency
Always swim in safe places like swimming pools or beaches where there are lifeguards (救生员). If someone is drowning, don’t try to save them by yourself. How much exercise do children need to keep in good health? Every parent wants to know the answer. In the US, many people think that children should get more than an hour of exercise each day. It is the same in the UK.
A study shows that children should exercise their muscles and bones (肌肉和骨头) more than three times a week. So if you want to ask your children to go for a walk, think of some fun things to do along the way,” she says.

If you walk through a park in the morning, you might see people these slow and graceful (优雅的) movements (运动). Tai chi, an ancient martial art (武术), is a common kind of exercise in China. It has a long history and we don’t know who invented it. Someone says Zhang Sanfeng, a Taoist who lived during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), created tai chi after watching fight between a snake and a bird.
UNESCO recently added tai chi to its Intangible Cultural Heritage List Many tai chi fans were happy to hear about this.

1. go for it
2. try to join
【解析】本题考查句式“want to do sth.”(想要做某事)和短语“try to do sth.”(尝试做某事)、“join the volunteer group”(加入志愿者小组),to后接动词原形,因此填入try to join。
3. keeps practicing; progresses
4. encourages; take part in
【解析】前半句主语My teacher是第三人称单数,谓语动词encourage变为encourages,考查短语“encourage sb. to do sth.”(鼓励某人做某事);to后接动词原形,因此“take part in”(参加)用原形,符合中文提示。
5. be afraid of; Keep trying; succeed
【解析】第一空考查短语“be afraid of doing sth.”(害怕做某事),Don’t后接动词原形,因此填入be afraid of;第二空考查祈使句“Keep doing sth.”(坚持做某事),句首首字母大写,填入Keep trying;第三空will后接动词原形,填入succeed(成功),贴合句意。

Strength training is great for swimmers too! Simple exercises at home, like jump rope or sit-ups, can be very beneficial. They can help make your body stronger, and even improve your swimming skills.
◆Know What to Do in an Emergency
Always swim in safe places like swimming pools or beaches where there are lifeguards (救生员). If someone is drowning, don’t try to save them by yourself. Call for help instead or use a long stick or a rope to pull them to a safe place. If you’re in trouble, stay calm and float (漂浮) on your back until help arrives.
Remember, swimming is a great way to keep healthy and have fun, but always follow these tips to be safe.

How much exercise do children need to keep in good health? Every parent wants to know the answer. In the US, many people think that children should get more than an hour of exercise each day. It is the same in the UK.
A study shows that children should exercise their muscles and bones (肌肉和骨头) more than three times a week. Children can do activities like climbing and playing on jungle gyms (攀爬架) — this kind of exercise is good for their muscles. Jumping and running are good for their bones.
