Passage1
Guizhou province(省) in Southwest China is quickly becoming a famous spot for travelers. In the past, people often just passed through this area on their way to other places. Now, things are changing. Vice-Governor Cai Chaolin recently said that Guizhou is a "magical and beautiful" place. The province is working hard to become a world-class destination(目的地). With its amazing mountains and rivers, it is ready to welcome visitors (游客) from both China and other countries who want to stay and explore.
There are many reasons why tourists love this province. First, the weather is perfect. Even in summer, it stays cool with an average temperature of 23°C. The air is very fresh because green forests cover more than 60 percent of the land. Second, travel is easy and fast. New high-speed trains and highways(高公路) connect every city. The most exciting sights(景观) are the bridges. Guizhou has some of the highest bridges in the world. The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge is so tall that it looks like it is floating(漂浮) in the sky, making it a popular place for photos.
Guizhou offers a wonderful mix of nature and modern life. It is a place where you can relax and have fun. Mr. Cai jokes that the air is clean every day, except during the Spring Festival when happy families set off fireworks! This shows the warm and lively spirit of the local people. Whether you like hiking in the mountains or looking at giant (巨大的) bridges, Guizhou is a great choice for your next adventure(冒险).

China Travel: A New Trend on Social Media
In recent years, a "China Travel" trend has become popular on overseas social media. Many foreign tourists share their exciting experiences in China through videos, photos, and stories, attracting millions of views and likes. This trend not only shows the beauty of China but also helps people around the world understand the country better.
One key reason is China's improved visa-free policies. Since 2024, China has made it easier for travelers from many countries to visit by extending visa-free stays. For example, some tourists can now stay in China for up to 240 hours without a visa. This change allows more people to explore China's modern cities, delicious food, and friendly culture. Social media users post about high-speed trains, clean streets, and amazing historical sites like the Great Wall, which surprise many foreigners who used to have wrong ideas about China.
Foreign visitors often share their "eye-opening" trips online. A musician from the US posted videos of his journey in China, saying, "The people here are warm, and the technology is amazing!" Another traveler praised Chinese food and wrote, "Every meal feels like a new adventure." These honest posts help break stereotypes spread by some Western media. As one Quora user said, "Seeing real life in China changes minds better than any news report".
The "China Travel" trend is more than just fun-it builds connections. Many foreigners say communicating with Chinese netizens on platforms like Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) makes them feel welcome. They learn about daily life, music, and even rock bands in China, which they never expected. This cultural exchange shows how social media can bring the world closer.
“中国游”热潮不仅带来欢乐,更搭建起人际纽带。许多外国网友表示,在小红书等平台与华人网友互动时倍感亲切。他们意外地了解到中国人的日常生活、音乐乃至摇滚乐队,这种文化交流生动展现了社交媒体如何拉近全球距离。
In short, "China Travel" on social media is not only about tourism but also about sharing truth and friendship. As more people visit and post, China's image as a modern and friendly country continues to grow globally.

Yulong Snow Mountain is a popular scenic spot (景点) in Yunnan Province. It is covered with snow all year round. And the ice and snow can be thousands of years old. The mountain has an area of about 415 square kilometers and its top reaches 5,596 meters above sea level.
In recent years, the number of tourists visiting the mountain has increased greatly. However, this has brought about a big problem—plenty of rubbish. To deal with this problem, the cleaners at the scenic spot have done a lot to help tidy it up.
The cleaners’ day begins at 5:30 a.m., preparing for welcoming the first tourists and ends at 7:30 p.m. when tourists descend the mountain. During hot travel periods, like the National Day holiday, they fill nearly 200 outdoor rubbish bags a day. The job is not as easy as many people think. It is dangerous and hard.
Liu Haowei is one of the cleaners. He is mainly in charge of cleaning up empty oxygen cylinders (氧气瓶) and other rubbish thrown by visitors on the cliffs (悬崖). The cliffs are quite dangerous. Also, the mountain is very high, which means that the air is thin and that the cleaners may find it hard to breathe during their cleaning process.
After the rubbish has been picked up, it is packed and carried down the mountain. Passage3
The Hakka people, a Han Chinese subgroup (分支), have an unusual history, language, and culture. Hundreds of years ago, they moved from their homeland in central China to Southeast China. In Chinese, Hakka means “guest families” as if these people were guests on the land.
Clearly, Hakka earth buildings are different from any other traditional architectural (建筑的) form. The buildings are not only huge in size, but also quite strong. To build them, the Hakka people mix earth, sand, bamboo, and other things together, and then tamp the mixture into nearly 2-meter-thick walls that stand in a close circle. The heavy walls can not only keep the earth buildings warm in winter and cool in summer, but also protect people against danger. If danger comes, the only door will be closed. People can stay safely in the building for a long time as there’s enough space for food and water in it.
Some of the oldest earth buildings date back to the 12th century, and the latest examples were built in the last century. Sometimes people call them roundhouses. But actually, not all earth buildings are round. Square ones can be found as well.
Most of these buildings have three or four floors, and each one can hold hundreds of people — all sharing the same last name. The first floor is used for kitchens and dining rooms; the second floor is for keeping grain; and the third and fourth floors are used for bedrooms.
We Chinese always say, “A nearby neighbor is better than a distant relative.” The earth-building-living Hakka people have the best of both worlds, as neighbors are also relatives. However, these buildings are facing a problem: fewer and fewer people would like to live in them.
1.Which may be the picture of the Hakka earth building?
A. B. C.
2.What does the writer mention about the Hakka earth building in Paragraph 2?
①Its advantages (优点). ②Its history. ③The building process.
④The building materials. ⑤The possible dangers.
A.①②④ B.②③⑤ C.①③④
3.Which is the structure of the Hakka earth building?
A. B. C.
4.What can we infer from this passage?
A.All the buildings are in the same shape.
B.People who live in a Hakka earth building are family.
C.The Hakka people like to live in earth buildings better than in tall buildings.
5.What will the writer talk about next, most probably?
A.How do the Hakka people get along with each other?
B.Why are the Hakka people leaving the earth buildings?
C.Who don’t the Hakka people want to share the buildings with?

Although they meet all the difficulties, Liu and many other cleaners still make great efforts to keep the mountain clean.
A. B. C.

④The building materials. ⑤The possible dangers.
A.①②④ B.②③⑤ C.①③④
3.Which is the structure of the Hakka earth building?

4.What can we infer from this passage?
A.All the buildings are in the same shape.
B.People who live in a Hakka earth building are family.
C.The Hakka people like to live in earth buildings better than in tall buildings.
5.What will the writer talk about next, most probably?
A.How do the Hakka people get along with each other?
B.Why are the Hakka people leaving the earth buildings?
C.Who don’t the Hakka people want to share the buildings with?
