B【新考点】
Every year, the world loses millions of trees to deforestation (滥伐森林), wildfires and other causes. Replanting forests is a challenging task. Recently, scientists and environmentalists have begun using drones to plant trees, hoping to restore forests more quickly and efficiently.
Traditional tree planting involves growing seedlings in a nursery and then planting them by hand. This process is effective but slow, especially in remote or hard-to-reach areas. In contrast, drone planting uses flying machines to drop seed pods directly onto the land. Before planting, teams analyze high-resolution maps of the area to decide where and how many seeds to drop. Computer programs help choose the best places and ways to plant, so there is no need to grow young trees in a nursery first. Then drones fly over the area, dropping hundreds of seed pods every minute. One drone can spread seeds 100 times faster than a person, covering a lot of ground quickly.
The benefits of drone planting are easy to see. First, it can reach locations that are dangerous or impossible for people to access, such as steep mountainsides or areas deep in collapsed forests. Second, it saves time and labor. A single drone operator can do the work of many people, allowing reforestation teams to cover more ground with fewer resources. In addition, the seeds can be coated in nutrients and natural fertilizers, giving them a better chance to grow into healthy trees.
Early results from drone reforestation projects are promising. In Brazil, drones have been used to replant mangrove forests, and in Canada a startup called Flash Forest has planted millions of trees using drones. Of course, not all seeds will survive — reforestation still faces challenges like weather and soil conditions. But many experts stand up for it. They believe that with improvements in technology, drone planting could become a powerful weapon in the fight against deforestation.
24.Which of the following best describes traditional tree planting?
A.Time-consuming. B.Short-lived.
C.Environment-friendly. D.Technology-free.
25.What is an advantage of drone planting?
A.It avoids the need for analyzing soil. B.It requires no teamwork before planting.
C.It enables planting in hard-to-reach areas. D.It ensures every seed grows into a healthy tree.
26.What is experts’ attitude toward drone planting?
A.Doubtful. B.Objective. C.Worried. D.Favorable.
27.What is the main purpose of the text?
A.To explain why forests are disappearing.
B.To introduce a new method of planting trees.
C.To compare traditional planting with drone planting.
D.To describe the difficulty of planting in remote areas.

For a quarter century, TIME has organized annual lists of groundbreaking inventions, and 2025’s collection — featuring 300 innovations — stands as its most expansive yet. Beyond impressive technological leaps, this year’s selections reveal a defining trend: the most impactful inventions attach importance to human needs, understanding, and real-world problem-solving.
The 2025 list underwent strict screening: editors and journalists worldwide recommended applicants, with special focus on fast-growing fields like healthcare and AI. Each invention was evaluated for originality, function, ambition, and impact — qualities that unite standouts across categories. Take accessibility innovations for example: the Monarch tablet replaces outdated Braille textbooks with a display giving touch feedback, letting blind students interact with content like their sighted peers. The Tilt Beauty grip Stick, designed for those with limited flexibility, earned arthritis (关节炎) — friendly certification and one-handed operation. Similarly, the Lotus smart ring lets people control home devices with a simple point, clearing the struggle of reaching switches.
This human-centric approach extends to other areas. FireSat uses satellite technology to detect 5-by-5-meter fires long before they worsen, protecting communities. The RootWave eWeeder zaps weeds with electricity, offering a non-poisonous alternative to harmful herbicides while preserving soil health. Even cutting-edge AI tools, like Adobe’s Enhance Speech, consider usability first — removing background noise to make podcasts (播客) accessible to broader audiences.
What ties these innovations together is their refusal to chase technology for its own sake. They start with a human problem — whether it’s inaccessible learning materials, inconvenient daily tasks, or environmental harm — and craft solutions that empower, include, and sustain. In an era of rapid innovation, 2025’s top inventions remind us that true progress lies in putting people at the center.
28.What is the most important feature of the 2025 top inventions?
A.Popularity in fast-growing fields. B.Focus on solving human problems.
C.Impressive technical improvements. D.Higher number compared to past years.
29.Why is the Monarch tablet considered an impactful invention?
A.It is affordable for most blind students.
B.It has the largest number of touch sensors.
C.It is the first tablet designed for blind students.
D.It is an interactive alternative for blind students.
30.What makes Adobe’s Enhance Speech a top AI invention for 2025?
A.Cutting-edge AI models. B.Profitable market breakthrough.
C.Practical fixes for common issues. D.Top noise-reduction technology.
31.What is the text mainly about?
A.TIME’s 2025 List: The Most Comprehensive Edition Yet.
B.2025 Top Inventions: Focusing on Solving Human Problems.
C.Tech Leadership: The path broken by Accessibility Innovation.
D.A New Tech Principle: Considering Practicality over Advancement.

The presence of robots in schools is no longer surprising. We already know that robots and virtual assistants can support constructive educational outcomes and healthy social development in children. It also turns out that they can increase children’s engagement in learning. Robots in education can be programmed in a variety of ways. For example, they can adapt teaching methods to individual students’ needs, boost students’ motivation and engagement through fun, or provide immediate feedback.
However, Konrad Maj, first author of the study, emphasizes that it is important to remember that interactions with robots also raise certain concerns, such as whether long-term contact with them will negatively impact children’s social behavior. This leads to fundamental questions: How do elementary school children treat humanoid robots? Are they polite to them, and willing to attribute (赋予) human-like qualities to them? This is the focus of researchers: Konrad Maj, Ariadna Go bicka, and Zuzanna Siwińska in a new study.
In the study, the researchers used a 120-centimeter-tall humanoid robot, Pepper, with a child-like appearance. The study participants included 251 children aged 7—12. The researchers considered two aspects: the robot’s communicative style toward humans (polite or commanding) and its “gender” (female or male). During the study, children were introduced to a robot that imitated (模仿) animals for them, and observed its reaction to an attempt to take its photo (either polite or with a firm message not to do so), to which they were instructed to respond. They then answered questions about Pepper — for example, whether they thought it could be happy, dream, or imagine things.
It turned out that children interacting with a polite robot usually responded politely, even when the robot was commanding — showing social norms outweighed imitation. Younger children and girls were more likely to personify the robot, especially when it was polite, female, and matched gender expectations. Polite robots were also seen as more human-like than commanding ones.
The results suggest that tailoring a robot’s communication to children’s developmental level and social expectations can boost engagement and support learning — and as robots enter classrooms, understanding how kids perceive them will be key to making them effective learning partners.
32.What is the main idea of the first paragraph?
A.The functions of virtual assistants. B.The benefits of robots in education.
C.The engagement with technology. D.The programming methods for robots.
33.What did the researchers try to study?
A.Why female robots treat children politely.
B.What gender children assign to robots.
C.Whether children obey robots’ commands.
D.How children treat and personify robots.
34.How did the researchers mainly conduct the study?
A.By conducting controlled experiments.
B.By comparing data from previous studies.
C.By interviewing parents about their children.
D.By tracking children’s long-term performance.
35.What is a finding of the study according to paragraph 4?
A.Robots tend to weaken social norms.
B.Older children show more politeness.
C.Children’s politeness comes from imitation.
D.Polite robots are perceived as more human.
第二节(共5小题:每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分)
阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
The whole world changes around them: actors, singers, models. athletes and TV personalities. If I go through Instagram, Snapchat or any social media news feed (新闻推送). I get too familiar with their lives.
36 What I can’t see is what their big contribution to the world is other than entertainment.
By idolizing (崇拜) the entertainment industry so much, we sometimes completely forget about the things that are truly important and that are changing our world.
Imagine if the money that every Hollywood actor and director makes went into medical research and pharmaceuticals. It would be so much easier for scientists to diagnose (诊断) diseases and unknown viruses. So if it would benefit the world so much to invest all of our time and attention toward scientists, why don’t we do it? 37
First of all, we like being entertained. Most people might not praise scientists because it’s not something entertainment. People will care more about Brad Pitt’s upcoming new movie, rather than NASA’s most current space exploration that might change the way we live our lives. 38 It’s because we simply like being entertained. It’s easier to care about simple things rather than scientific, complicated ones.
Another reason is that most scientists don’t like being in the spotlight. There are studies that have identified the personality features of people most likely to become scientists. 39 Even if we gave them that much attention, they wouldn’t be so excited to be followed by paparazzi (狗仔) all day or get invited to events every weekend. They’re busy people, which explains why they haven’t attracted the media the same way that performers have.
Therefore, it’s very unlikely that scientists will ever become the “celebrities (名人)” of modern days. Even in the middle of a pandemic (疫情) science is still not as popular as entertainment. 40 Studies have shown that young people are more interested in a scientific career as a result of COVID-19. Maybe that’s the start of the development of a different point of view against science for future generations.
A.That’s not because we’re careless human beings.
B.They’re mostly reserved, quiet and like to have privacy.
C.Scientists seem to be selfless, hard-working and devoted people
D.I have nothing against the entertainment industry and celebrities.
E.However, interest in science has definitely risen since the pandemic began.
F.It seems as if entertainment has become the most important thing that the world cares about.
G.Why don’t we make scientists our new “celebrities,” if they are the ones that deserve it the most?

Lila had been silent for years. Born with hearing loss, the 16-year-old 41 to follow classroom discussions or chat with peers — her world was a quiet, lonely place where smiles often felt 42 .
That changed when Lila tried on the Leion Hey2 AR glasses. As her teacher spoke, words appeared softly before her eyes, clear and in time with the voice. For the first time, she didn’t miss a joke shared by classmates or a key point in history class. When her best friend 43 closely, “You look happy today,” the glasses translated it 44 — and Lila replied aloud, drawing 45 cries from those around her. Nowadays, agricultural drones are being widely used in China. The White Paper on the Agricultural Drone Industry (2024/2025), 56 highlights how drones are reshaping agriculture and promoting a green transition, provides an overview of development trends, technological innovations and applications.
Ning Qiwen, publisher of Farmers’ Daily, said the white paper is 57 valuable guide for government agencies, research institutions and farmers. “Agricultural drones are becoming a new engine for ensuring food 58 (secure),” Ning said.
In 2024, Chinese agricultural drones 59 (complete) work that covered an area of more than 173 million hectares. Now, an increasing number of young people return to rural areas 60 (start) businesses in the industry. The use of drones has 61 (remarkable) expanded beyond traditional crop spraying to include 62 (task) such as transportation, sowing, fertilization and crop monitoring.
Technological breakthroughs have also shown drones’ value. In Yunnan Province, a drone-based dispatch (发送) system cuts transportation losses from 30% to less than 5%. In Sichuan Province, drones are used to transport bamboo, 63 (reduce) the need for manual labor in mountainous areas.
National support for the low-altitude economy gives the industry another boost. In 2025, China’s No.1 Central Document, a policy paper 64 (publish) at the beginning of each year outlining key priorities, included low-altitude technology alongside artificial intelligence and big data for the first time, identifying agricultural drones 65 a strategic farming tool.

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料:根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Sheldon Cooper, a nine-year-old boy with a great mind, found himself in a difficult situation. His favorite scientific tool had broken, and replacing it required a large amount of money. His mother politely said, “If you want it, you will have to earn it yourself.” So, Sheldon started what he called “The Money Project” — using science to do the everyday job of delivering newspapers.
As he had planned, Sheldon’s method was special. He spent days doing research. He studied the weight of the newspaper, planned the best delivery route using maps, and even found the best throwing angle for each house. His planning board was covered in notes and drawings, looking more like a complex puzzle than a simple job plan.
On his first Monday, he left home with his prepared basket. The first challenge appeared immediately: the family bicycle was too large for him. After three failed attempts to ride it, he decided to walk, pulling the basket of newspapers behind him. But the basket was so heavy that he soon felt too tired to continue. He quickly thought of a solution. Using an old board, four wheels from broken toys, and some rope, he built a simple homemade cart. Now he could pull the papers easily.
Then, the weather, Sheldon had assumed clear weather, turned out different from his forecasts. A light rain began to fall. Sheldon immediately covered the newspaper basket with the plastic he had prepared. This simple action prevented what could have been a real problem.
Despite these little episodes (小插曲), his first deliveries were perfect, and he felt pleased. The final challenge came at 17th Elm Street. His goal was the welcome mat, but a large, sleeping dog was lying right on top of it. Sheldon knew getting closer was too dangerous. From where he stood, he could not throw the paper properly. He stood still, his carefully made plan falling apart before this unexpected problem.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
After a moment of panic, Sheldon’s scientific mind took over.

第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分)
第一节
Good morning, everyone!
To me, the spirit of scientists means never giving up on exploring the unknown and always putting human needs first. It’s about staying determined even when challenges arise.
Take Tu Youyou as an example. When trying to find a treatment for malaria, she studied ancient Chinese medical texts, did over 200 experiments, and even tested the extract on herself. Many times, her efforts didn’t work, but she kept going. Finally, her team extracted artemisinin, cutting malaria deaths by millions. Her perseverance and care for others are exactly what the scientist spirit is about.
Let’s carry this spirit in our life and care for human welfare!
第二节 (满分25分)
After a moment of panic, Sheldon’s scientific mind took over. Noticing the low fence beside the steps, he quickly calculated the distance and the required throwing angle. He rolled the newspaper into a tight tube. With a precise underhand throw, he sent the paper sliding smoothly along the fence. It traveled in a perfect bend around the sleeping dog and came to rest right at the front door. A small smile appeared on his face as he continued his route, the crisis expertly solved through physics.
Weeks later, “The Money Project” finally paid off. Sheldon placed his carefully saved money on the counter, receiving the long-wanted scientific tool. His mother’s eyes met his, shining with pride. As he held the tool, happiness filled him — not just for having it, but for earning it. This experience brought him a greater prize: strong belief in his own mind and the knowledge that some fortunes are earned not with money, but with effort and intellect. This was the real treasure, one that would only grow with time.

【答案】18.B 19.B 20.C
【原文】M: When we talk about the future of work, many people fear that AI and robots will replace most human jobs, but this view is far too simple. The real change ahead is not human versus machine, but human working with machine. As technology advances, most routine, repetitive tasks in offices and industries will be automated efficiently, yet human beings still hold the key to unique skills like creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. The era of a “job for life” is already over, and in the coming years, many of us will have multiple careers rather than just different jobs. This means continuous learning will be non-negotiable for anyone who wants to stay relevant in their career. And the most critical skill for the future won’t be a single technical ability like coding or data analysis — it will be adaptability: the ability to learn new things, unlearn outdated knowledge, and relearn constantly. So the best way to prepare now is not to focus on mastering one so-called “safe” skill, but to cultivate a growth mindset and build a diverse set of transferable skills, such as communication, collaboration, project management and cross-field thinking. Investing in your ability to learn and adapt is the most reliable investment in your future career.

【答案】One possible version:
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
After a moment of panic, Sheldon’s scientific mind took over.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Weeks later, “The Money Project” finally paid off.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】

When we talk about the future of work, many people fear that I and robots will replace most human jobs. But this view is far too simple. The real change ahead is not human versus machine, but human working with machine. As technology advances, most routine repetitive tasks in offices and industries will be automated efficiently, yet human being still hold the key to unique skills like creativity, critical thinking and emotional intelligence. The era of a job for life is already over, and in the coming years, many of us will have multiple careers rather than just different jobs. This means continuous learning will be non negotiable for anyone who wants to stay relevant in their career, and the most critical skill for the future won't be a single technical ability like coating or data analysis. IT will be adaptability, the ability to learn new things, unlearn outdated knowledge, and relearn constantly, so the best way to prepare now is not to focus on mastering one so called safe skill, but to cultivate a growth mindset and build a diverse set of transferable skills. Such communication, collaboration, project management and cross field thinking, investing in your ability to learn and adapt is the most reliable investment in your future career.
