课程标准解读
义务教育《英语课程标准》(2011年版)指出,“英语教材是英语课程资源的核心部分。”“教师只有深入地研读教材,才能在教学中根据学生的水平和教学的需要,对教材进行合理的开发与利用,也才能通过教材更好的激发学生的学习兴趣,开阔学生视野,拓展学生思维,以满足不同学生的学习需求。”本节课以此为指导思想和理论依据,教师在深入研读教材的基础上,通过阅读活动,以问题引导学生进行深入思考,力求进一步提升学生的思维品质,弄清作者的写作特点、写作意图及文字背后所隐藏的信息。

听说课主要分两部分。Listening 这一部分主要是听力活动,学生在听时关注相关信息,进行必要的词汇准备,了解背景和一些相关的语句,为听懂下一听读材料作铺垫。Speaking 强化听力材料中的日常用语的句子,并能用习得的语言去表达观点。
