[教材原文续写]Tears welled up in Miss Hayden’s eyes as she listened to Gillian’s words. She reached out, gently touching the packet of money, and her hands were shaking.
“You know,” Miss Hayden said in a soft voice, “your uncle was such a kind man. Every time he saw me busy with housework, he’d always say, ‘Take a break, Miss Hayden. You work too hard.”
Gillian smiled, nodding, “I remember how he talked about you. He said you were like the sunshine in this house. When I first heard about the will mistake, I just knew I had to bring the money to you. It’s what uncle would have wanted.”

Miss Hayden wiped(擦) her tears with the back of her hand, a warm smile spreading across her face. “Your uncle... he gave me more than just a job. He gave me a home. And now, this money... it’s not just cash. It’s a symbol of his kindness, and yours too, Gillian.”
As the afternoon sun was shining through the living room windows, the two sat there, sharing stories about the kind-hearted uncle. They laughed at his funny habits, like always forgetting where he put his glasses, and sighed(叹气) softly as they remembered how he’d helped neighbours in need.
After some time, Gillian stood up, ready to leave. “Thank you for sharing these memories with me,” he said.
