第一首诗的排版既强化了它要传达的信息,又会加强读者的情感回应。有的诗行放了一个字母,有的诗行放了两个字母,以此表达一片树叶独自飘落的意向。
修辞手法上,三首诗中使用了明喻、暗喻和拟人等。如第二首诗歌中的Like a diamond in the sky使用了明喻的修辞手法;第三首诗作者以拟人的手法,为我们刻画了一个美丽、柔和的水仙花的形象,看似写水仙,其实已指向生活和生命,并给读者深刻的启示。
