Unit 2 Improving yourself Developing ideas Valuable Values 教学设计 课题 Valuable Values 课型 Reading 主题语境 人与自我——自我管理与提升 教材分析 课文语篇类型为说明文,先是提出问题——中学生面临如何花钱的问题,然后提出给出一个正面的例子,接着给出解决办法——“四罐”理财法,之后介绍“四个罐子”教会我们的价值理念及其深远目标。引导学生通过学习有效的金钱管理方法,学会进一步提出自己对于金钱和金钱管理的看法,真正认识到有效的金钱管理会对人生产生深远的影响。阅读重点在于理解“四个罐子”传递给我们的四个价值理念之间层层递进的关系,从自我满足到自我提升再到帮助他人,从而加深学生对于 Improving yourself 这一单元主题的理解。 学情分析 本节课授课对象为高二年级学生,本阶段的学生词汇量有明显上升,具备一定的阅读理解能力,但缺乏对文本的全面分析能力,批判性思维和口语表达能力以及写作能力都需要加强。课文难度适中,话题贴近学生生活,学生能读懂课文并且对这个话题感兴趣,因此在授课中注重引导学生理清文章结构,理解文章主旨。 教学目标 At the end of the class, students are able to: Read the passage and get the structure of it. Read and think about the purpose and significance of the four jars. Learn to spend money wisely. 教学重点 1. 带领学生把握文章主旨大意,理解文章题目的深刻内涵; 2. 指导学生用英语阐释自己对于金钱和金钱管理的看法; 3.引导学生以理性客观的态度看待金钱的价值,增强理财意识。 教学难点 引导学生学会用英语阐释自己的观点,增强逻辑思辨能力,能以理性客观的态度看待金钱的价值,培养理财意识,积极尝试从不同角度进行自我管理。 教学策略 P-W-P 模式;合作探究 教学过程 Teaching steps Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Purpose Step I Warming up 1.Teacher uses a question asking“How do you spend your pocket money?”and some answers to ask students to answer the same question. 2.Teacher introduces the result of an investigation of the spending habits of students at No.1 Senior High School. 1.
