Students analyze writing purpose Step 3 Read for detailed information Ask students to read para 1 and fill in the blanks. Starting in the Yuan Dynasty, work on the terraces took hundreds of years, until its completion in the early Qing Dynasty. Reaching as far as the eye can see, these terraces cover tall mountains, often from the bottom to the very top.
