In Spain,a child usually has two given names and two surnames. The first surname is the same as the father's first surname, and the second is the mother's first surname. The given names may be the same as a grandparent's.
In Nigeria, children's names are chosen by family elders. The children's parents wait for names from the grandparents and other important family members. These names describe the day of the baby's birth. The baby's name is announced at a party on the eighth day after the child's birth.
In Turkey, babies are often named according to the time of their birth. For example,if a child was born in spring, the chosen name might be Bahar. It means spring.A baby born during bad weather might be named Tufan. It means storm.

The Grand Canal (京杭大运河) is the longest and greatest man-made waterway in ancient China. With 27 sections and 58 historical sites,it was placed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2014.Running from Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province in the south to Beijing in the north and connecting different river systems, the Grand Canal contributed greatly to ensuring that the Chinese primary economy thrived in past dynasties.
The Grand Canal we see today was built section by section in different areas and dynasties before it was linked together by the Sui Dynasty (581-618).In 604 CE,Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty toured Luoyang. The following year,he moved the capital to Luoyang and ordered a large-scale expansion of the canal.Due to the primitive building techniques,it took over six years to complete the project.About half the peasant builders (about
3,000,000) died of hard labor and hunger before it was finished. This project was thought to have been a waste of manpower and money, which resulted in the downfall of the Sui Dynasty.
As a major transportation hub (枢纽),the Grand Canal connected the Yangtze,Yellow,Huaihe,Haihe, and Qiantang Rivers and flowed through Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,Shandong,Jiangsu and Zhejiang, with Hangzhou as its southernmost end.The Grand Canal, which joined the river systems from different directions, provided a good way to transport foods and goods from south to north.Just as importantly,it greatly improved the administration and defense of China as a whole and strengthened economic and cultural connections between north and south.
Boating on the old Canal is one of the best ways to get a panoramic (全景的) view of the landscape of typical river towns in southern China, which include ancient dwellings, stone bridges of traditional designs and historical relics.Experiencing some of the local customs offers much delight to travelers. Tourists also have an opportunity to enjoy good food while appreciating the surrounding scenery.

Carved into the cliffs above the Dachuan River, the Mogao Caves,south-east of the Dunhuang oasis,Gansu Province, contain the largest, richest, and longest used treasure house of Buddhist art in the world. It was first constructed in 366 AD and represents the great achievement of Buddhist art from the 4th to the 14th century.Four hundred and ninety-two caves are presently preserved, housing about 45,000 square meters of murals (壁画) and more than 2,000 painted sculptures.Cave 302 of the Sui Dynasty contains one of the oldest and most vivid scenes of cultural exchanges along the Silk Road, showing a camel pulling a cart typical of trade missions of that period.
As evidence of the evolution of Buddhist art in the northwest region of China, the Mogao Caves are of unmatched historical value. These works provide an abundance of vivid materials depicting various aspects of medieval (中世纪的) politics, economics, culture, arts, religion, ethnic relations, and daily dress in western China. Many of these masterpieces are creations of an unparalleled aesthetic (美学的) talent.
The discovery of the Library Cave at the Mogao Caves in 1990,together with the tens of thousands of manuscripts and relics it contained, has been acclaimed as the world's greatest discovery of ancient Oriental (东方的) culture. This significant heritage provides invaluable reference for studying the complex history of ancient China and Central Asia.
The Mogao Caves were included on the World Heritage List in 1987.At the state level,China has put all World Heritage Sites under top-level protection. In 1961,the Mogao Caves were listed as one of the State Priority Protected Sites by the State Council and were put under the protection of national laws, including the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics. The Administrative Institution of the Mogao Caves has been cooperating with international counterparts (同行) to study conservation and site management and looks forward to continuing its work in preserving the heritage of the site.

Shelly was a teenage girl full of energy and curiosity. She found herself in a familiar yet exciting situation as New Year's Eve drew near. Her parents, busy doctors in the emergency department, were eager to spend the festive occasion with family at her grandparents' house.Jason and Judy,Shelly's loving grandparents, were excited to host the joyous celebration.
In the midst of the busy preparations,Shelly found herself alone in the attic(阁楼),filled with old trunks and forgotten relics. As she searched through the dusty relics in the attic, her eyes caught a bronze item among the forgotten treasures. It was a Scout badge(童子军徽章),her father's from his youthful days as a Scout. This badge held a profound meaning, symbolizing her father's adventurous spirit and dedication to service.
Eager to share her find,Shelly carefully put the badge into her pocket and rejoined the celebration. As the evening progressed, she proudly showed off the badge to her friends in the neighborhood, sharing tales of her father's Scouting adventures. However, time flew by with laughter and joy.It was then that the badge slipped unnoticed from her grasp, disappearing into the dark night.
Panic stricken and heartbroken,Shelly quickly searched for the lost badge, checking every corner she had been. But the badge was nowhere to be found.Tears streamed down her face as she knew how disappointed her father would be if he knew she had lost his precious Scout badge. The loss of the badge was not just a physical loss, but a symbol of the connection she felt with her father and his past.Shelly's world felt incomplete, and she prayed that somehow, she would find the badge and restore the broken bond. She decided to search the neighborhood again.
注意:1.续写词数应为150左右;
2.请按如下格式作答。
But as time passed,Shelly's hope of finding the badge began to fade.

She tried to be brave and not let her father see how upset she was,but it was difficult to hide her emotions. Her parents noticed the change in her behavior and asked her what was wrong.Shelly reluctantly told them about the lost badge, and her father's face fell. However, instead of being angry, her father hugged her and told her it was okay.He explained that the badge was special to him,but it was more important that she was safe and happy.
Together, father and daughter set out for the search.__________________
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
They visited the places Shelly had been to during the celebration, and with each step, they held onto hope.As they combed through the streets and parks, they stopped to talk to neighbors and friends, asking if anyone had seen the badge. Finally,as they reached the local park,Shelly spotted a glint of bronze nestled among the fallen leaves. With a rush of relief, she retrieved the precious badge, and their heart swelled with joy and gratitude.Through this experience,Shelly learned the importance of honesty, and the depth of her father's love and understanding.
