1.本题实行按档给分原则,共划分五个档次,核心考查维度为观点表达、理由论证、逻辑连贯度、语言准确性,同时考查三段式写作结构的落实情况;

I firmly support opening non-supervised book borrowing corners on campus.Such corners bring great convenience to students,as we can borrow or return books anytime without being restricted by library opening hours.
Besides, they help cultivate self-discipline.We need to abide by rules like keeping books in good condition and returning them on time, which is a valuable life skill. Moreover, they foster a casual reading atmosphere, encouraging us to read more in daily life.
In short,non-supervised book borrowing corners benefit our study and personal growth. It’s a practical and meaningful initiative worth promoting.
Teenagers now spend over three hours daily on digital devices after school, far exceeding the recommended time, leading to a sharp drop in physical activity. This excessive use harms their physical health(e.g.,poor eyesight),mental focus, and social skills. To solve this, schools, parents, and teenagers themselves should work together—schools offer more sports activities, parents set rules, and teens practice self-discipline to balance study, screen time and exercise.

When people think of Eric Liddell, the “Flying Scotsman,” they recall his stunning 400-meter gold medal victory at the 1924 Paris Olympics, a story immortalized in the film Chariots of Fire and a win that made him a beloved hero in Scotland. Yet, the most remarkable and inspiring chapters of his life unfolded far from the racing track, in the war-torn land of China where he first saw the light of day.
After his Olympic triumph, Liddell turned down all lucrative sports offers in Europe and chose to return to Tianjin, China, where he was born, to work as a teacher. The initial years were quite challenging, as he spent much time learning Chinese and adapting to a totally different life and local customs. However, the true test of his faith and courage came with the outbreak of the full-scale war in 1937 across the country.
While many foreign nationals evacuated China for their own safety, Liddell firmly stayed. He ventured deep into the Hebei countryside, teaching local children and delivering medicine to displaced and injured civilians. To bypass strict Japanese checkpoints with relief funds for the needy, he resorted to great ingenuity, hollowing out a French loaf, stuffing money inside, and carrying it as a pretend lunch every time.
In 1943, Liddell was captured and interned by the Japanese army in the Weixian concentration camp (now Weifang, Shandong). Life behind barbed wire was extremely harsh, with scarce food and no proper supplies, but he soon became “Uncle Li” to all the camp's children. With no textbooks or stationery, he patiently taught them science and other subjects using hand-written notes on scrap paper he collected.
One such meticulously handwritten chemistry notebook survives to this day, a precious testament to his unwavering dedication to education. Sadly, he never lived to see the country's liberation. In February 1945, at the young age of 43, Eric Liddell died of a brain tumor in the camp. His story, however, has never faded away. A memorial stone in Weifang, made from granite of his Scottish homeland, stands in his honor, and it is visited by many each year. As his daughter once said, her father deeply loved China and its people, and his spirit of self-sacrifice continues to inspire countless people across the world.

On the outskirts of Longnan, Jiangxi Province, students at Gannan Medical University's new campus walk through landscapes that blend harmoniously with surrounding hills. The scene is idyllic, but its origin is extraordinary: just years ago, this was a scarred, abandoned quarry with damaged vegetation and piles of waste. This transformation from "ecological burden" to "ecological name card" symbolizes a profound shift in how universities are being built—not just on land, but with it, for a sustainable future.
This philosophy of integration is at the heart of a global movement toward "regenerative" campus design. It's an approach that does "more with less," viewing the entire campus—its buildings, energy, water, and ecology—as one interconnected system. Des Moines University (DMU) in the U.S. embodied this when relocating its campus. Rather than retrofitting old, inefficient buildings, they started anew on an 88-acre plot with a holistic plan. The goal wasn't just efficiency but creating a "multi-generational campus" that actively restores the local ecosystem.
A key principle is treading lightly. At DMU, planners began by asking, "how do we lightly touch 88 acres?" Buildings were clustered tightly to preserve open space and linked by walkable pathways to reduce energy use. A vast geo-exchange system under the campus provides heating and cooling, slashing energy use intensity by 56%. Similarly, 88% of the campus's energy now comes from Iowa's wind and solar sources.
Water and land are managed as living systems. DMU's design leverages native ecology for stormwater management, using bioswales, wetlands, and native prairie plants to absorb rainwater. This natural approach eliminates the need for extensive pipes, reduces polluted runoff by millions of gallons annually, and cuts potable water use by over 90%. In Longnan, engineers tailored the slope stabilization for the former quarry to blend with the campus's architectural style, turning a safety necessity into a scenic feature.
Ultimately, this is about designing for well-being, connecting people to nature. DMU's campus includes trails through restored savannas, encouraging engagement with the land. The project in Longnan demonstrates that the most impactful campus may not be the one that avoids environmental cost, but the one that actively heals it, proving that universities can be both centers of learning and catalysts for ecological renewal.

For centuries, sleep has been deemed a basic biological need,a state humans took for granted.Today, amid the spread of artificial light and pervasive digital devices, restorative sleep has become an elusive commodity.According to a landmark global study in Sleep Health, upwards of 38%of adults worldwide curtail sleep to fewer than the clinically recommended 7 hours,a trend sparking urgent concerns among public health experts.
The ramifications of chronic sleep deprivation extend far beyond diurnal fatigue. This condition perturbs the body’s natural rhythms, elevating susceptibility to severe cardiometabolic disorders such as adiposity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes. For the human body, sustained sleep loss is not a trivial issue but a silent stressor that erodes physical health step by step.
Even more disconcertingly,a study led by Dr.Tina Sundelin at the Karolinska Institute revealed mild sleep curtailment exerts discernible effects on facial aesthetics.Participants restricted to 4 hours of sleep nightly for two days were rated by blind assessors as far less vibrant, more haggard, and less appealing than when well-rested.The somatic toll of poor sleep is thus inscribed on the visage within hours, shaping social and professional perceptions.
For rotating-shift personnel like nurses, factory operatives and pilots, the issue is systemic.Their work schedules force them to sleep against intrinsic circadian oscillators, inducing chronic chronodisruption—akin to perpetual jet lag.A 2024 meta-analysis highlighted this misalignment links to a 38%higher risk of ischemic heart disease than day-shift workers,a hidden health cost for societal functionality.
Addressing this crisis demands structural shifts, not ephemeral panaceas.Public health advocates urge sleep to be enshrined as a foundational health objective, including educating on sleep hygiene, redesigning circadian-aligned work schedules and adjusting teen school start times.Ultimately, redefining sleep as an indispensable health cornerstone is the first step to building a well-rested,resilient society.

A.Rapidly impairs facial attractiveness B.Triggers long-term cardiometabolic issues
C.Diminishes workplace productivity D.Induces chronic chronodisruption
34.According to the passage, why are rotating-shift personnel particularly vulnerable?
A.Lack awareness of sleep somatics B.Perform strenuous physical labor
C.Sleep conflicts with circadian rhythms D.Have restricted healthcare access
35.Which of the following would be the best title for the passage?
A.Tech Innovations in Sleep Monitoring B.Shift Work:A Concealed Epidemic
C.Adolescent Sleep and Academic Outcomes D.Prioritize Sleep:A Public Health Imperative

With the rapid development of digital technology, various digital devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops have become a daily necessity for teenagers. A recent survey among 2,000 high school students in five major cities shows that over 70 percent of them spend more than three hours on digital devices after school. Most of their screen time goes to online games, short-video browsing and social media chatting, far exceeding the recommended one hour of daily screen time for adolescents.
This excessive use of digital devices has directly led to a sharp decline in teenagers’ physical activity. Ten years ago, nearly 70 percent of high school students took part in regular sports activities, but now the figure has dropped to 35 percent. Many teenagers choose to stay indoors with their devices rather than engage in outdoor exercises or physical games during their free time.
The negative impacts of this trend extend beyond physical health. Physically, long hours of screen watching easily causes poor eyesight and cervical discomfort. Mentally, fragmented online information reduces students’ ability to concentrate, making it hard for them to focus on long academic tasks like reading classic works or solving complex problems. Socially, they tend to prefer online communication over face-to-face talks, which weakens their real-life interaction skills and leaves some feeling lonely.
To address these issues, joint efforts from schools, parents and teenagers themselves are essential. Schools can offer more sports courses and organize regular outdoor activities. Parents should set good examples and make reasonable family rules to control their children’s screen time. Teenagers need to build self-discipline, balancing time spent on digital devices, study and exercise to form a healthy lifestyle.
