1. Understand the celebration ways of labor and try to get information from 20 job interviews.

2. Use key words and expressions to talk about work-related topics and obtain information.

3. Combine Yan Jing’s experience and personal thoughts to discuss the understanding of "dream job" and find directions.

 Step 1. Lead-in

  Show students a video about jobs. Ask students to say different jobs with the question: What jobs can you see?

 Step 2. Pre-listening

  1. Look at the picture and answer:

Q1. What can you see in the picture?

Q2.What do you think they are doing?

2. Read “Did you know” and learn some expressions.

Ask: When is the International Workers’ Day?

What do you usually do on this day?

3. Introduce the title of this class and show the learning aims.

Step 3. While-listening

Aim 1 (A1, P9)

 1. Teacher: To celebrate International Workers’ Day, there will be a special show on the radio. Now let’s listen to the preview.

2. Ask students to read through sentences a, b, c and find/underline the key information.

3. Play the audio and get the answers for a, b, c.

Aim 2 (A2, P10)

 1. Ask students to look at the picture, read through the words and answer:

Q1. What is the show called?

Q2. When will it be shown?

Q3. Who will be invited?

Q4. What will be talked about?

2. Play the audio. Students listen twice and get the answers.

3. Guide students to read through “Learning to Learn”.
