Step 1 Leading in
Greet students and review the words and phrases about animals learnt in the last class.
Step 2 Pre⁃reading
1.Before reading,ask students to think about the two questions.
2.Invite some students to share their answers.
Step 3 While⁃reading
1.Ask students to read the poems carefully.Pay attention to the tone,rhyme,rhythm and structure.
2.Teach the important words and phrases.Explain the tone,rhyme,rhythm and structure.
3.Work on A
(1)Ask students to read the poems again and complete the sentences about the rhyming words.
(2)Check the answers together and ask students to read out the rhyming words.
4.Work on B
(1)Ask students to read the poems once more and write a T if a sentence is true or an F if it is false according to the text.
(2)Ask students to correct the false ones and explain the reasons for the answers to help students understand the details of the poems better.
Step 4 Post⁃reading
Ask students to summarise the main content of the poems in their own words.Then ask a few students to read out their summaries.
