◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Share some pictures of the Qinghai⁃Tibet Plateau to introduce the topic of this reading passage.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Show the pictures related to the passage and ask students to answer the questions:What can you see in the pictures?What colour are they?How do you feel about them?
2.Guide students to use the words provided to describe the pictures and share their feelings.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2
1.Have students read the passage quickly and find out the writer’s favourite colour.
2.Ask students to underline the sentences that support their answer.
Step 4 Work on Activity 3
1.Have students read the passage again and underline the unfamiliar words and phrases.
2.After reading,ask students to choose where they can find the passage in Activity 3.
3.Check the answer.
4.Use vocabulary cards or PPT to introduce and explain key words and expressions.
5.Ask students to take notes of the new words and their meanings.
Step 5 Work on Activity 4
1.Let students read the passage again carefully and complete the chart with the words and expressions from the passage.
2.Check the answers together and explain the key points.
Step 6 Think and share
1.Ask students to think about the questions:What does the writer compare the clouds to?What about the mountains and the sky?What three colours will you use to describe your hometown?
2.Organise a group discussion for students to share their answers and their own descriptions of natural landscapes using comparisons.
◇教学反思◇
在阅读课中,学生能够较好地理解文章大意和基本词汇,但在理解比喻句和用英语进行深度描述家乡自然景观方面仍有困难。在后续教学中应增加比喻修辞手法的专项练习,并提供更多范例帮助学生提升语言表达能力。
