◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and show a short video about some amazing Guinness World Records to attract students’ attention.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Ask students to listen to the news report carefully and choose the main idea from the given options.
2.Play the recording again if necessary and check the answer,asking students to explain the clues they heard in the recording.
Step 3 Phonetics in use
1.Explain how to pronounce /k/,/g/,/f/ and /v/ to students.
2.Play related pronunciation videos for students to watch and learn.
3.Have students read related words and correct their pronunciation.
Step 4 Work on Activity 2
1.Ask students to listen to the news report again and complete the introduction to Zhao Li,focusing on filling in the details such as his title,achievement,and the characteristics of the insect he discovered.
2.Check the answers and have students discuss the significance of Zhao Li’s achievement.
Step 5 Work on Activity 3
1.Play the interview recording and ask students to complete the notes about the interviewee’s interest in insects.
2.Listen again and check the answers.Then ask students to talk about how the interviewer changes the subject and what expressions they can learn from it.
Step 6 Work on Activity 4
1.Pair the students and ask them to choose a person from Walt Disney or Huang Yongyu and do some research on their hobbies and achievements.Then have a conversation about what they got from having fun.
2.Provide some example questions to help students start the conversation.
3.Invite several pairs of students to share their conversations with the class and encourage other students to ask questions and give comments.
◇教学反思◇
本节课是一节听说课。听的部分,大部分学生能听懂大意,但在填写细节时,还会有单词拼写错误。今后在课堂上还要加强听力技巧的训练。发音练习环节,学生有一定进步,但仍需加强巩固。
