Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and ask students to recall some acts of helping others they have seen or done.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Ask students to read the passage quickly to check their predictions and get a general understanding of the text.
2.After reading,ask students to answer some simple questions about the story,such as the main character,the key events,and the outcome.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2
1.Ask students to read the passage carefully again and underline the words and phrases they don’t understand.
2.Explain the important language points and new words,helping students understand the text better.
Step 4 Work on Activity 3
1.Ask students to complete the notes about Zhou Jian’s story with the words and expressions from the passage,summarising the key details.
2.Check the answers and have students share their completed notes,discussing any differences or misunderstandings.
Step 5 Work on Activity 4
