My Opinion About Watching Short Videos
Watching short videos has become a popular way for teenagers to relax and learn. Personally, I believe it has both advantages and disadvantages.
On the positive side, short videos help us get relaxed quickly. After studying, watching funny clips or music videos lifts my mood. They also let us get information efficiently—I’ve learned science experiments and cooking tips from them.
However, overuse can be harmful. Some classmates waste time scrolling endlessly, delaying homework and reducing sleep. Worse still, if we stare at screens for hours, it will harm our eyes and cause headaches or blurred vision. Parents worry about these risks.
In my view, the key is balance. We should limit screen time to 20 minutes daily and choose educational content. Schools could teach students to use short videos wisely—as tools for learning, not just entertainment. This way, we taste the sweetness without falling into the trap.
