2025级高一(英语科) 第一部分 阅读(共两节,满分50分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分) 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 A My 14-year-old son has been attracted by fantasy adventure novels since primary school. When asked why during a talk, he explained that those stories get imagination going, making himself think more about the world. The talk with him encourages me to recommend four wonderful books to teens. Kiki Kallira Breaks a Kingdom Kiki Kallira has always been a worrier. When her anxiety has been getting out of control, one thing that always makes her feel better is drawing. Kiki keeps drawing and her sketchbook is full of fanciful characters of Indian legends (传说) her mother has told her since childhood. When her drawings come to life, she enters the fantasy world she created to save her real world. Clarice the Brave Topics of friendship, family, and overcoming previous prejudices are at the heart of this animal adventure tale. A young mouse, Clarice, gets separated from her brother Charles after a fight in the ship. Clarice finds herself on a lifeboat while Charles remains on the ship. As struggling to find each other across the sea, they learn the true meaning of bravery. The Phantom Tollbooth When Milo gets bored, he goes through a tollbooth that strangely appears in his room which magically leads him to meet new friends like Tock and go on the adventure-filled exploration of a lifetime. Full of humorous and figurative puns (双关语), the tale interests today’s young readers. Circus Mirandus Micah wants to help his dying grandfather reconnect with the magical Circus Mirandus that he remembers from his youth. Micah believes his grandfather’s stories and sets out to find Light Bender, a circus member who promised a miracle (奇迹) to his grandfather. This story perfectly mixes fantasy with true emotions related to family and friendship. 1. Why does Kiki love drawing so much? A. To help easy off her worry. B. To show her love for legends. C. To deeply fire her imagination. D. To better understand the world. 2. What may young readers of The Phantom Tollbooth find amusing? A. Its plot. B. Its language. C. Its characters. D. Its setting. 3. What do Clarice the Brave and Circus Mirandus have in common? A. The solution for dealing with prejudices. B. The focus on family reunions. C. The discussion on family and friendship. D. The topic of something magic. B Curtis Newman knew the waterfall was coming. He’d sailed down this river before. He figured he and his wife Krystal and their 13-year-old son Hunter would jump out of the boat into the shallow water, rappel down (绕绳下降) the rocks on either side of the falls, and continue on their way, as he had on a previous trip. But this year was different. Heavy snow and spring rains had turned the usually controllable waterfall into something fierce (凶猛的). As they approached the waterfall late on the afternoon of the third day of their camping trip, Newman could tell from the increasing roar of water in the narrow canyon (峡谷) that they were in trouble. There was no way they’d be able to move down the rocks on either side of the waterfall. There was no cell phone service, and they hadn’t seen a single person in the past three days. As he wondered what to do, Newman heard voices coming from the other side of the waterfall. “We have to get those people a message,” he thought. He picked up a stick and pulled out his pocketknife to carve “Help”. He tried tossing it over the waterfall, but it floated away in the wrong directions. Krystal reminded him that he had a pen and paper in his backpack. Newman knew it was an impossible attempt, but he wrote “We are stuck here at the waterfall. Help please!” and put the note into a bottle. This time, he threw the bottle over the waterfall successfully. It took them about 30 minutes to go back to the beach where they had lunch. By about 10:30 p.m., they pulled out their sleeping bags. Then, just after midnight, they heard a helicopter hovering (盘旋) above them. Newman turned to his son and started shaking him. They got rescued. “The rescuers said that they had been performing these kinds of rescues, but no one had ever been rescued by a message in a bottle,” Newman said. 4 What made this year distinct from the previous one? A. The more dangerous waterfall. B. The usual weather conditions. C. The extremely narrow canyon. D. The uncontrolled small boat. 5. What does the underlined word “tossing” in Paragraph 3 mean? A. Putting. B. Rowing. C. Hanging. D. Throwing. 6. What can we infer from Newman’s words in the last paragraph? A. Newman was proud of himself. B. One of the rescuers found the bottle. C. Newman’s way of seeking help was rare. D. The rescuers were quite passionate. 7. Which of the following can be the best title for the text? A. An Impossible Try. B. A Rescue from A Bottle. C. A Smart Father. D. An Adventure in A Canyon. C In a coffee shop we usually hear someone saying, “Don’t worry; the cup is made of bioplastics!” These items are appearing everywhere, ensuring business owners and consumers feel good about the single-use items they are carrying around. The problem is that there’s a lot of misinformation about bioplastics — and unfortunately, bioplastics aren’t the perfect solution to the problem of plastic people think they are. “Anytime you add the term ‘bio’ or ‘plant-based’ to a product name or description, people automatically think that makes them good for the planet,” environment expert and consultant Shannon Kenny said. “But unless you have proper equipment to process and recycle these bioplastics, they can be just as harmful to the planet as traditional plastics.” In order for bioplastic items to break down, they need the perfect storm of gases, heat and airflow that is only provided by specific equipment. And since most of us probably don’t have the commercial equipment, we may not know what to do with the products. Since they look like plastic, people often think they can be recycled, which isn’t true. According to Kenny, “Consumers often put bioplastics into recycling bins, but it messes the whole process up. When bioplastics enter the plastic recycling stream, they’re difficult to identify and separate from the other plastics, which damages the entire recycling process and creates low-grade recycled plastic.” So if plastic isn’t great, but bioplastics aren’t either, what should we use? The most sustainable solution in both the short term and the long run, though, is to avoid single-use items. The best choice is to bring your own cup to the coffee shop and your own cutlery to the office to eat your salad or out to dinner at your favorite fast-casual restaurant. And educate others — friends, family, and even your local coffee shop or restaurant owners — that these bioplastics aren’t as “green” as they may appear. 8. Which of the following does Shannon Kenny probably agree? A. Bioplastics are no better than common plastics. B. Bioplastics cost customers less to use. C. Bioplastics increase the cost of production. D. Bioplastics are environment-friendly. 9. What is the challenge about bioplastics? A. Consumers can’t tell them from other plastics. B. They can’t be broken down completely. C. Consumers prefer to use traditional plastics. D. They are not dealt with properly. 10. What is the purpose of the last paragraph? A. Adding some background information. B. Summarizing the previous paragraphs. C. Providing some advice for the readers. D. Introducing a new topic for discussion. 11. What’s the text mainly about? A. Why are bioplastics harmful? B. Are bioplastics better for the planet? C. Can bioplastics be widely used? D. How are biolastics made pollution-free? D Honeybees can’t swim and when their wings get wet, they can’t fly. But one study shows that honeybees do have another, less obvious choice to save them from death in the water: surfing. The discovery began with a lucky accident. When research engineer Chris Roh passed by Caltech’s Millikan Pond, he saw a honeybee resting in the water, and since it was midday, the honeybee’s shadow (影子) fell directly on the bottom of the pond. However, what really caught his eye was the waves created by the honeybee’s wings, as the waves from one wing crashed with those from the other wing. Roh brought honeybees to the lab, where he recreated the conditions, he saw at Mfillikan Pond. He placed a bee in a pan of still water and then shone filtered (过滤的) light from above to pretend it was the midday sun. He did this with 33 bees, but only for a few minutes one single bee at a time, and then gave each bee time to recover. While water prevents a bee from flying by clinging (紧附) to its wings, the same condition obviously provides another way for the bee to escape. The bee pulls water with its wings, creating waves that can push it forward. But there are some limitations. Obviously, the bees can’t produce enough force to get them out of the water. However, the wave can push them forward enough to the edge of the water, where they can then climb out and fly away. This behavior is more tiring than flying, and Roh guesses the bees can only hold it for about 10 minutes before using up their strength, so the chances to get out may, be limited. “This behavior has never been recorded in other insects,” Roh added. This study focused on honeybees, but future studies could investigate whether it is also used by other bee groups or possibly even by other winged insects. 12. According to the new study, what helps honeybees avoid death in water? A. The crash between their wings. B. The water clinging to their bodies. C. The strong will to get out of water. D. The waves produced by their wings. 13. Why was filtered light used in the lab probably? A. To help the honeybees recover quickly. B. To make the honeybees gain more force. C. To keep the honeybees in warm conditions. D. To create a shadow on the bottom of the pan. 14 How are the limitations of the honeybees’ way presented in paragraph 5? A. By using examples. B. By giving explanations. C. By making a comparison. D. By listing specific numbers. 15. What can be inferred from the last paragraph? A. No insects can surf other than honeybees. B. More methods will be used to study insects. C. Researches will be done into other bee species. D. Bees made more and more scientists concerned. 第二节(共 5 小题;每小题 2.5 分,满分 12.5 分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Translation is an essential tool for effective communication. A common way of getting any translation done is to turn to human translators. However, machine translators have developed rapidly in recent years. Many people claim that they will replace human translators soon. ____16____ Machines may fail to understand culture properly. Different cultures have different words that are unique to that specific culture. Machines cannot understand or recognize idioms, slang, and allusions (典故). ____17____ By contrast, human translators can find the suitable equivalent (对应物) in the target language based on the cultural background. ____18____ In different languages, there are words with various meanings, which can be a significant problem for machine translators. These words have to be placed in context to determine their true meanings and in many cases only human translators can do this. If you run a document with this kind of words through a machine translator, it may lead to inaccurate translations. It is difficult to localize machines for different languages. New phrases are being developed in almost all languages. ____19____ If you feed new words into a machine translator, the machine might go “speechless” , trying to come up with the most appropriate way to translate the strange combination of words. Human translators, on the other hand, can pick up on the development in a language quickly. It’s difficult for machines to distinguish style and tone. Every written document has a different style and tone. A document can have poetic funny or persuasive style and tone. Machine translators may lose the intended style and tone existing in the original document. ____20____ And such a translation can hardly resonate (引起共鸣) with the person who reads it. A. Machines can’t relate words to the context. B. Machines can’t remember words of all languages C. It doesn’t actually hold up for some reasons. D. Thus the result is a flat and soulless translation. E. Machine translators are unable to catch these changes in time. F. This is one challenge they may find very difficult to overcome. G. Machine translators are becoming more and more popular these days. 第二部分 语言运用(共三节,满分40分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 I will never forget such an uncomfortable conversation in my career life, but thankfully it turned into the most heart-warming one I’ve ever had. Summarizing the previous paragraphs. C. Providing some advice for the readers. D. Introducing a new topic for discussion. 11. What’s the text mainly about? A. Why are bioplastics harmful? B. Are bioplastics better for the planet? C Can bioplastics be widely used? D. How are biolastics made pollution-free? 【答案】8. A 9. D 10. C 11. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇议论文。文章主要讨论了生物塑料是否真的对环境有益,指出其并非完美的解决方案,并提出了更可持续的选择。 【8题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段中““Anytime you add the term ‘bio’ or ‘plant-based’ to a product name or description, people automatically think that makes them good for the planet,” environment expert and consultant Shannon Kenny said. “But unless you have proper equipment to process and recycle these bioplastics, they can be just as harmful to the planet as traditional plastics.”(“无论何时你在产品名称或描述中添加‘生物’或‘植物基’这样的术语,人们都会自动认为这对地球有益,”环境专家兼顾问Shannon Kenny说。“但除非你有适当的设备来处理和回收这些生物塑料,否则它们对地球的危害可能与传统塑料一样大。”)”可知,Shannon Kenny认为除非有适当的设备来处理和回收这些生物塑料,否则它们对地球的危害可能与传统塑料一样大,即生物塑料并不比普通塑料好。故选A。 【9题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段中“In order for bioplastic items to break down, they need the perfect storm of gases, heat and airflow that is only provided by specific equipment. And since most of us probably don’t have the commercial equipment, we may not know what to do with the products.(为了使生物塑料制品分解,它们需要特定设备提供的气体、热量和气流的完美结合。由于我们大多数人可能没有商业设备,我们可能不知道如何处理这些产品。)”可知,生物塑料面临的挑战是它们没有得到适当的处理。故选D。 【10题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段中“The most sustainable solution in both the short term and the long run, though, is to avoid single-use items. The best choice is to bring your own cup to the coffee shop and your own cutlery to the office to eat your salad or out to dinner at your favorite fast-casual restaurant. And educate others — friends, family, and even your local coffee shop or restaurant owners — that these bioplastics aren’t as “green” as they may appear.(然而,从短期和长期来看,最可持续的解决方案是避免使用一次性物品。最好的选择是带上你自己的杯子去咖啡店,带上你自己的餐具去办公室吃沙拉,或者去你最喜欢的休闲快餐店吃饭。并教育其他人——朋友、家人,甚至你当地的咖啡店或餐馆老板——这些生物塑料并不像它们看起来那么“绿色”。)”可知,最后一段的目的是为读者提供一些建议。故选C。 【11题详解】 主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是根据第一段中“The problem is that there’s a lot of misinformation about bioplastics — and unfortunately, bioplastics aren’t the perfect solution to the problem of plastic people think they are.(问题是,关于生物塑料有很多错误信息,不幸的是,生物塑料并不是人们认为的解决塑料问题的完美方案。)”以及最后一段中“And educate others — friends, family, and even your local coffee shop or restaurant owners — that these bioplastics aren’t as “green” as they may appear.(并教育其他人——朋友、家人,甚至你当地的咖啡店或餐馆老板——这些生物塑料并不像它们看起来那么“绿色”。)”可知,文章主要讨论了生物塑料是否真的对环境有益,指出其并非完美的解决方案,并提出了更可持续的选择。“Are bioplastics better for the planet?(生物塑料对地球真的更好吗?)”符合题意。故选B。 D Honeybees can’t swim, and when their wings get wet, they can’t fly. 14. How are the limitations of the honeybees’ way presented in paragraph 5? 【答案】12. D 13. D 14. B 15. C 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要讲的是一项研究表明,当蜜蜂掉进水里时,它们可以用翅膀产生小波浪,然后像冲浪者一样滑向陆地。 【12题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段“But one study shows that honeybees do have another, less obvious choice to save them from death in the water: surfing.”(但一项研究表明,蜜蜂确实有另一种不那么明显的选择来拯救它们在水中的死亡:冲浪。)根据第二段的“However, what really caught his eye was the waves created by the honeybee’s wings, as the waves from one wing crashed with those from the other wing.(然而,真正吸引他眼球的是蜜蜂翅膀产生的波浪,一只翅膀的波浪与另一只翅膀的波浪碰撞。)”可知,帮助蜜蜂在水中避免死亡的是它们翅膀产生的波浪。故选D。 【13题详解】 推理判断题。根据第二段的“since it was midday, the honeybee’s shadow (影子) fell directly on the bottom of the pond(由于是中午,蜜蜂的影子直接落在池塘底部)”和第三段的“He placed a bee in a pan of still water and then shone filtered (过滤的) light from above to pretend it was the midday sun.(他把一只蜜蜂放在一盆静水中,然后从上面用过滤光照射,假装那是正午的太阳。)”可知,实验室会使用过滤光的目的是在盆底部制造阴影。故选D。 【14题详解】 推理判断题。根据第五段的“Obviously, the bees can’t produce enough force to get them out of the water. However, the wave can push them forward enough to the edge of the water, where they can then climb out and fly away. This behavior is more tiring than flying, and Roh guesses the bees can only hold it for about 10 minutes before using up their strength, so the chances to get out may, be limited.(显然,蜜蜂无法产生足够的力量使它们离开水。然而,波浪可以把它们向前推到水边,然后它们就可以爬出来飞走了。这种行为比飞行更累,Roh猜测蜜蜂只能坚持10分钟左右,然后就会耗尽力量,所以出来的机会可能是有限的。)”可知,在第5段中,蜜蜂飞行的局限性是通过解释来描述的,故选B。 【15题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段的“This study focused on honeybees, but future studies could investigate whether it is also used by other bee groups or possibly even by other winged insects.(这项研究的重点是蜜蜂,但未来的研究可能会调查其他蜜蜂群体甚至其他有翼昆虫是否也使用这种方法。)”可知,从最后一段可以推断出将对其他种类的蜜蜂进行研究,故选C。 第二节(共 5 小题;每小题 2.5 分,满分 12.5 分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Translation is an essential tool for effective communication. A document can have poetic, funny or persuasive style and tone. 【答案】16. C 17. F 18. A 19. E 20. D 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇说明文。文章主要说明了机器翻译无法取代人工的翻译的几点原因。 【16题详解】 根据上文“Translation is an essential tool for effective communication. A common way of getting any translation done is to turn to human translators. However, machine translators have developed rapidly in recent years. Many people claim that they will replace human translators soon.(翻译是有效沟通的重要工具。完成任何翻译的一种常见方法是求助于人工翻译。然而,机器翻译近年来发展迅速。许多人声称他们很快就会取代人工翻译)”以及后文“Machines may fail to understand culture properly.(机器可能无法正确理解文化)”等列举了机器无法取代人工翻译的理由,可知,本句是在说明这种说法并不成立。故C选项“由于某些原因,这实际上并不成立”符合语境,故选C。 【17题详解】 根据上文“Different cultures have different words that are unique to that specific culture. Machines cannot understand or recognize idioms, slang, and allusions 【18题详解】 根据后文“In different languages, there are words with various meanings, which can be a significant problem for machine translators.
