第一节应用文写作(15分)
【范文】
Dear Jenny,
I'm excited to share my experience from last weekend when I participated in our
community's"National Reading Day"campaign as a reading ambassador.
The activity kicked off with my speech emphasizing how reading enriched our
lives and fostered a more knowledgeable society. Then followed a series of interactive
activities, like literary quizzes. What impressed me most was the book-sharing session
where people of all ages exchanged their favorite reads, from classic novels to
insightful non-fiction.
The event is both engaging and meaningful. Not only does it reinforce my belief
in the power of books to bridge gaps, but it also inspires collective growth.Have you
ever come across similar initiatives?Keenly anticipate your sharing.
Yours,
Li Hua

With the shot of the starting gun,I rushed out and ran as fast as I could.
However, soon I was out of breath,my legs feeling like lead.I slowed down as other
runners passed me one by one.At the sight of that,I was on the verge of giving up
when I heard my classmates shouting,"Come on!You can do it!"Later,my deskmate
even ran along the track beside me,cheering for me,just like the month-long training
we did together. This lively scene flooded me with energy to push myself forward.
As expected,I was almost the last to cross the finish line. There stood my
classmates waiting for me,who exploded with warm applause and cheers!"You made
it!"they yelled."We are so proud of you!"Someone pressed a water bottle into my
palm and wiped away the sweat rolling down my cheeks. With such strong collective
care embracing me,gone was the great shame weighing on my mind.Deeply touched
by them,I was lost in thought:The true victory lay not in winning a race but in
overcoming my fear to complete it,which would inspire me to grow together with
them

going to be delivered.I didn't order any bricks.Did you?
M:Bricks? What would we want to do with bricks? No,I don't know anything
about that.
Text 3
W:Don't worry.I'm sure you'll do better next time.
M:I didn't realize it was so difficult, though I knew I was always particularly
nervous during interviews. Can you tell me how to improve myself?
W:There's no secret at all. You'll succeed as long as you practice more.
Text 4
M:What do you plan to wear, honey?

M:That's understandable.Every kid likes new clothes. And old clothes may be
out of date. What's more, some old clothes still have the owners'smell even after
being washed.
W:Actually those are not the reasons. It's because my sister's clothes are always
a bit large for me.You know, she is eight years older than me.
M:Ha ha.Would you still make your daughter wear hand-me-downs?
W:Why not?They are free.And most importantly,they are environmentally

Text 10
M:Did you know that chimpanzees have excellent math skills?Or that electronic
dance music can reduce the appetite of mosquitoes? These were just two of the 10
studies awarded at Pineapple Science Award ceremony in China. For many years, this
Chinese award has explored and recognized the fun side of science and encouraged
curiosity-driven scientific research.Being interesting is a very important standard for
the prize. However,it's not all funny business. In fact, all entries must be serious
scientific studies which have been published in recognized academic journals or
presented at conferences.A study by researchers from Kyoto University in Japan was
the winner of the award for mathematics and art. They found that a chimpanzee could
remember random numbers both more quickly and more accurately than the students.
The prize for medicine went to the researchers from Malaysia and the Cayman Islands.
Their collaborative research showed that the next time mosquitoes are bothering you,
you may want to play some certain type of music.

Louisa May Alcott,a leading American writer of the 19th century, used writing both as a means of escape
and a way to chronicle the world around her-she would write down details of her family's daily life, like her
sisters'laughter over morning meals or her father's late-night discussions with friends, and integrate these
moments into her stories later.
Born on November 29,1832,in Germantown,Pennsylvania, she was the second of four daughters.
Growing up in Boston and Concord,Massachusetts,Louisa was primarily educated by her father and received
additional lessons from the well-known writer and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson and the influential philosopher
and naturalist Henry David Thoreau. Both men, along with her father, were part of the Transcendental Club,a
group that emphasized self-reliance and the power of the individual.
Despite this rich intellectual environment, the Alcott family faced continuing financial difficulties.
Determined to help,Louisa worked various jobs as a young woman, including as a teacher and domestic helper.
For Louisa, writing became her creative outlet and an escape from these pressures.
She began her literary career by publishing Flower Fables at the age of 22.Several years later,Hospital
Sketches, based on letters she wrote to her family while she was serving as a nurse during the Civil War,
brought her wider positive recognition. However,it was the publication of Little Women that secured her
lasting literary fame.Originally released in two volumes in 1868 and 1869,this coming-of-age novel follows
the lives of the four March sisters-Meg,Jo,Beth,and Amy.The book is semi-autobiographical,drawing
heavily from Louisa's own childhood and young adulthood. The central character,Jo March, mirrors Louisa
herself as an independent thinker and writer. The novel's extraordinary popularity has led to translations into
more than 50 languages.Louisa continued the story of the March family with Little Men (1871)and Jos Boys
(1886),alongside numerous other novels and children's stories throughout the 1870s and 1880s.

With nearly a quarter of global greenhouse gas coming from all types of transportation, can we keep
ourselves off gas-powered vehicles to avoid the worst effects? As more governments push for urgent action on
climate change, quite a few companies are betting their future-that millions of consumers are finally ready
for electricity-powered vehicles.Modern battery-powered cars are selling fast and zero-emission planes are
coming. These changes, both leading to a more sustainable future, are reinventing how we get from here to
there.
Cars and trucks are undergoing their greatest improvement since the automobile's existence more than a
century ago.Almost overnight, the era of the electric car has arrived.Electricity has the advantage that it works
without smell and with less noise.Global annual sales of electric vehicles are expected to soar from just over 3
million today to 14 million by 2025.Just a month after Ford unveiled an electric version of the popular F-150,
customers had reserved more than 100,000 of them. The price is about $10,000 above the gas-powered one,but
Ford says the electric model will cost much less to maintain.Everything creating a green revolution on the
ground is of limited help in the sky for the time being.
High-storage batteries are useless at present when it comes to the technological challenge of launching a
few hundred people into the sky and carrying them thousands of miles. No battery yet invented can power, say,
a Boeing 747 from New York to London.Promising improvements,however,do add up.Developments with
zero-emission,battery-powered electric engines are already happening in commercial flight, involving trips of
limited duration and distance.Airlines specializing in short journeys with small planes will lead the way to
electric flight.
Our planet's health depends on zeroing out carbon dioxide emissions by 2050,and yet,by the timetable
needed to address the climate challenge, the shift away from gas-powered vehicles remains far too slow.
Nevertheless, the train has left the station.Someday,electric-powered transportation will be as common as air.
28.Why are many companies switching to electricity-powered vehicles?
A.To reinvent the way we live.
B.To cut the costs of car production.
C.To improve the quality of products.
D.To pursue sustainable development.

In the future.we may be doing a job that doesn't even exist yet now.The requirements, levels and styles of
all kinds of work are being updated very fast, which means we need to understand how we can make ourselves
qualified for future roles that may appear.
There's no way to tell exactly what skills will be needed, and which ones will become unnecessary.
However, based on current observations and patterns of how artificial intelligence (AD)and robots work,we
have some basic ideas about how we can prepare for the future.
According to a report, human cognitive and interpersonal skills will be very important
requirements in future workplaces, even with the rise of AI.One thing we need to understand is that it is
humans that will manage and control machines.Future workers will need new skills to work with machines.
The most important strengths that humans will need to develop is the ability to be a lifelong learner.
Lifelong learning enables an individual to learn anywhere and anytime.Lifelong learning isn't just about
digital or AI skill. It's about having a mindset that allows the brain to be open and receptive at any given time
and place.
The style of work changes over time,so do styles of learning.Different people learn in different ways.
Traditionai classroom or online platforms might not be the most useful approaches in the future.Since
information is everywhere,it takes an open mindset to be always ready to effectively absorb, evaluate (
and make sense of the information that is so easily accessible wherever we are.
At the same time, adaptability can be a challenge for employees who are used to the traditional way of
doing things. However,a lifelong learning mindset can help change this. Moreover, lifelong learning increases
employ ability.Amazon says lifelong learning will help its employees use new technologies. And many
Amazon employees say it'll open new opportunities for them to grow and change into new roles.
32.What does the author say about future jobs?
A.They might come in unexpected forms.

C.They will be mainly performed by robots.
D.They need employees to take on many roles.
33.Which will be the most significant skill in future workplaces?

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Sports are more than competitions. To me,they mean growth under the care of others.I learned this the
hard way.
I used to be very shy and often felt lonely.I was afraid of physical education. My classmates often laughed
at me."Look at that girl,"they said."Her feet don't leave the ground when she runs!"Their words embarrassed
me.Moreover, whenever there were some competitive games,no one in the class liked to have me as their team
member. As a result,I often ended up looking at others enjoy their games.
Things would go on like that but for a sports meet.By mistake,my name was put on the list of the
women's 1,500 meters race.By the time people found the mistake,it was too late.My deskmate was a natural
athlete. She said to me,"I couldn't run that race in your place, because I've signed up for three events already."
Other girls of the class said the same.
I was dumbfounded(目瞪口呆),l,500 meters!Running against the best runners from other classes! And
in front of students of the entire school! It would be the worst nightmare()I'd ever have!
You still have time to catch up because there is still one month before the sports meet, they said.
My deskmate patted me on the shoulder,"Cool! You will run for our class! And we will train together."
Yes,this is not just for myself, but for my class too,I said to myself. But still,1,500 meters to me was like
Mount Everest to a beginning climber.Every afternoon after class,my deskmate ran beside me.
One month certainly couldn't make me a good runner. But when I was standing behind the start line,I no
longer felt lonely or afraid.I saw my classmates standing by the tracks waving at me as if to run beside me.

1.续写词数应为150左右:
