In Helen Keller’s writing Three Days to See, the famous writer for the blind and deaf wrote that “darkness would make him more appreciative (感激) of sight; silence would teach him the joys of sound.”
How do the blind feel about color and painting? To answer this question, Hu Jun started the Art Without Barriers project. Starting in 2016, he would go to the Zhejiang School of the Blind in Hangzhou to give art lessons to the children there.
Born in 1971, Hu Jun is a professor of art at Hangzhou Normal University in Zhejiang province.
“I prefer to think of the project as an experiment,” Hu said. “It’s kind of a pity that we spend most of our time giving art lessons to normal children and ignore those with visual (视觉上的) disabilities. However, our research shows that blind children do have the ability to understand and create visual pictures.”
In the project, blind children can try out light painting, and woodblock printing. The goal is to give them confidence and help them fit into the society.
“They do have a great sense of color through touch. And in their minds, a bird singing is white, a cat fighting is black. When they can create paintings and express their feelings, they will not feel they are disadvantaged,” Hu said. “Also, when it comes to education, they should have an equal right to learn art.”
Children’s works painted during the classes are on show in museums and galleries in Zhejiang, Shanghai and overseas. Six pieces were auctioned (拍卖) and 17 were kept by personal collectors.
“Being special can be treasure rather than a regret as long as creativity lasts,” Hu said.
24.The underlined word “ignore” in the fourth paragraph probably means _______.
A.care about B.pay no attention to C.offer help to D.look after
25.Why did Hu Jun start the project?
A.Because the blind children are more creative than the normal ones.
B.Because he wanted to be famous and rich.
C.Because the blind children may be more confident and better join the society.
D.He wanted to do some visual experiments.
26.What word do you think can be used to describe Hu Jun best?
A.humorous B.outgoing C.helpful D.courageous
27.Which of the following is True?
A.Blind children have no ability to understand art.
B.Art Without Barriers is a project to help all the kids.
C.People are interested in the blind children’s works.
D.All blind children are creative.

A 2,000-year-old story is now on Jiangsu’s “Su Chao” football field—the famous Chu-Han Contention (楚汉之争) is back!
The Jiangsu Football City League, also called “Su Super League” or “Su Chao”, is currently being held. It is an official competition where teams from 13 cities in Jiangsu province play against each other.
One of the most exciting matches is between Suqian and Xuzhou. Many people online refer to it as the “Chu-Han Contention” on the football field.
This name comes from a famous period in Chinese history. After the Qin Dynasty (221—206 BC) ended, Xiang Yu, a powerful military leader, declared himself the King of Chu. He gave Liu Bang the title of King of Han. Xiang Yu was from Xiaxiang, which is now Suqian. Liu Bang was from Peixian, which is now Xuzhou. Their battle for control of China, known as the Chu-Han Contention, ended with Liu Bang’s victory. This led to the start of the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC—AD 8).
Today, in the Su Chao league, every time these two cities play, the match becomes interesting and full of passion (激情). But the rivalry (竞争) doesn’t stop there—it spreads throughout the whole competition. Jiangsu has gone through many historical changes, bringing together cities with different cultures under one province. This has created a strong sense of competition among them.
This spirit is captured in the Su Chao motto (格言): “Fight for the glory (荣誉) of your city.” There is also a popular joke among fans: “The game comes first; friendship comes fourteenth.” It’s a joke, but it shows how much they care about their city’s pride.
28.Why do people online call the match between Suqian and Xuzhou the “Chu-Han Contention” on the football field?
A.Because both cities have a long history of playing football.
B.Because the two teams often win the Su Chao league.
C.Because Xiang Yu and Liu Bang had the Chu-Han Contention in history.
D.Because the match is always held on the same day as the Chu-Han Contention anniversary.
29.What has made the cities in Jiangsu have a strong sense of competition in Su Chao?
A.Jiangsu has many big football stadiums for matches.
B.The Su Chao league gives a lot of money to the winning team.
C.Jiangsu’s historical changes brought cities with different cultures together.
D.The fans of each city don’t like other cities’ teams.
30.Which of the following statements is right?
A.Liu Bang was historically born in present-day Suqian.
B.The league’s motto promotes (促进) friendship above competition.
C.The Su Chao league matches primarily focus on building friendship between cities.
D.The modern match between Suqian and Xuzhou shows their historical figures’ conflict (人物冲突).
31.Which sentence matches the Su Chao motto “Fight for the glory of your city”?
A.Players should care more about their own fame than team wins.
B.Fans’ excitement shows they love their city very much.
C.The league does not want cities to compete with each other.
D.Teams must learn history before playing matches.

We live in a culture that treats mistakes as both unavoidable and unacceptable. On one hand, we are told again and again that mistakes are our teachers. On the other hand, we carry the weight of each misstep as if it should never have happened. No matter how we view mistakes, the unspoken rule is that the goal remains the same: avoid mistakes at all costs.
But what if the very thing we call a mistake isn’t one at all? You planned carefully, acted honestly, and made thoughtful choices. Yet the result looked different from what you imagined. It is natural to call it a mistake. But what if it was simply an outcome, neither right nor wrong, just reality moving in a direction you did not expect? For example, someone accepted a meaningful job. Later, the company restructured (重组) and the position disappeared. Did he make a wrong decision? If we call every difference from expectation a mistake, we lose the ability to accept uncertainty as part of the process.
There is an important difference between negligence and uncertainty. Negligence, paying no attention to facts, missing warnings, or failing to act with care, can and should be called a mistake. But uncertainty, no matter how uncomfortable, is not. It’s simply the reality we live with. When we learn to separate true mistakes from unavoidable outcomes, we allow ourselves to walk more freely, act with courage, and experiment without carrying the weight of unnecessary regret.
This does not mean you can take things lightly. We should plan carefully, consider possible outcomes, and act responsibly. But once we have done so, we must also accept that the results may not correspond to the picture we painted in our minds. Sometimes it is just life, moving us into places we did not expect but might need to be.
I can think of moments in my own life when an opportunity (机会) I worked for with full effort did not materialize. At the time, it felt like a mistake. But looking back, those moments turned out to be turning points, redirecting my time and energy toward spaces I would never have explored otherwise. What felt like mistakes was in fact redirection.
Only when we do not treat the absence of a hoped-for outcome as a mistake, can we start opening our minds to unexpected opportunities that appear when things don’t go as planned. And maybe the lesson is not just to learn from mistakes, but to learn which things were never mistakes in the first place.
32.Why does the writer use the example in Paragraph 2?
A.To prove that mistakes are hard to avoid.
B.To encourage careful thought before acting.
C.To explain that uncertainty is normal in life.
D.To stress the importance of making good decisions.
33.The words “correspond to” in Paragraph 4 probably mean “________”.
A.depend on B.center on C.connect with D.agree with
34.Which of the following would the writer most probably support?
A.Mistakes usually result from poor preparation.
B.Acting carefully is the key to reducing uncertainty.
C.Our view on unexpected outcomes shapes our growth.
D.Avoiding mistakes matters more than exploring new experiences.
35.Which of the following is the best title for this passage?
A.What Can We Learn From a Mistake? B.When Is a Mistake Really a Mistake?
C.Why Are Mistakes Unacceptable? D.How Can We Avoid Mistakes?

Ⅵ. Reading Expression(本题5小题,每小题2分,共10分)
A peaceful mind is very important. It keeps us calm and allows us to stay happy during the day. So, here, I would like to give you suggestions on having a “mind like water”—as peaceful as calm water.
Listen to your heart. Your heart tells you what is the right thing to do. It is where your deepest values live. Following what your heart says helps you be true to yourself, and that helps you get a peaceful mind.
Slow down.Whatever you do, you do not need to be in a hurry. Doing so will only take you faster in the wrong direction. Slow down so that you can clearly hear the voice of your heart.
Don’t take in more information than necessary. Getting more information often means allowing more noises into your mind. That’s why limiting (限制) your information intake is important for a peaceful mind.
Don’t think too much about yourself and do something for other people. We usually think about our own needs most of the time. But self-centered (以自我为中心的) thoughts can’t bring peace into our mind. Instead, it may make us feel stressed.

A.Because the blind children are more creative than the normal ones.
B.Because he wanted to be famous and rich.
C.Because the blind children may be more confident and better join the society.

26.What word do you think can be used to describe Hu Jun best?

根据“But once we have done so, we must also accept that the results may not correspond to the picture we painted in our minds.”

D

55 , Zootopia is a world built completely by animals, for animals. The team dived deeply into research on animals and their habitats for months: visiting zoos and museums, talking to experts in different fields, and even 56 (travel) to Kenya (肯尼亚) to observe wild animals.
On the other hand, Zootopia is designed to develop as 57 human city does. It’s a 58 (reflect) of its citizens’ history and lifestyles. It feels like a place 59 truly exists. Audiences fall in love with this logical yet fun and unique world.
What’s the message of Zootopia?
One theme of the series is how bias (偏见) influences all of us. Our world is complicated; life is complicated. But the challenges we face can 60 (overcome) by leaning on one another and learning together.
61.A peaceful mind is of great , so here is some on having a peaceful mind.
62.Your live in your heart, so follow what your heart says and be true to yourself.
63. what you do, slow down to hear the voice of your heart clearly.
64.Self-centered thoughts may make you stressed bringing peace into your mind.
65.Why is limiting (限制) your information intake important for a peaceful mind?
