七、书面表达(20分)
Dear Editors,
It is a tradition to give young people lucky money in the Chinese Spring Festival. In my family, Iusually receive lucky money from my parents, grandparents and other relatives. To me, it is not just pocket money, but also a symbol of love and good wishes. Every time I receive it, I feel warm and happy.
In my opinion, teenagers should be allowed to manage their lucky money, because it is a good chance for us to learn to manage money wisely. Part of the money can be used for small daily costs, another part can be saved for future needs. We can keep a record of how we spend it. This can help us know where our money goes and make better plans for it. Moreover, parents and teenagers can discuss together to work out a plan. So pocket money acts as not only a good wish but also a bridge for communication.
I hope my ideas can help other students manage their lucky money well.

Necessity is the parent of all inventions. This old saying comes true in the story of RemyaJose, a 14-year-old girl from India. When Remya's mother fell ill, she had to wash clothes by hand in the nearby river. She soon found it took too much time and energy. So she decided to create a better way using bicycle parts.
Remya's invention is a pedal-powered(踏板驱动的) washing machine. The machine has a round metal drum held in a strong wooden frame(框架). A thick chain(链条) connects the bicycle pedals to a metal stick that runs through the center of the drum. When you step on the pedals, the chain pulls the stick, making the drum go around smoothly inside the frame.
To use the machine, people first need to put in dirty clothes, soap powder(洗衣粉) and some warm water until the clothes are fully covered. Next, sit on a chair in front of the machine and start stepping on the pedals—slowly at first, then faster. The drum moves the clothes around in the soapy water, making them clean like hand washing. This machine is great for places without electricity. It saves time and helps people stay fit while doing chores.
However, success didn't come easily: sometimes the metal drum fell off, and other times water went out from the drum before cleaning finished. But Remya didn't give up. She added a special ring to stop water going out and fixed the chain tightly. Finally, her machine worked!
