If you are looking for a special experience in Montreal, Canada, the Time-Travel Projection (投影) is a great choice. It’s like a magic show where history meets amazing technology, allowing you to see what the city looked like in the past.
This special projection is in the heart of Montreal’s old town. It uses latest technology to make the city’s history seem real. As you stroll along the streets, you’ll see pictures of Montreal’s past on the buildings little by little. These projections show how the city has changed over the centuries.
The idea came from local artists who wanted to celebrate Montreal’s rich history. They worked with historians to make sure the projections show the big events in the history correctly. Have you heard that many of the migrating (迁徙) animals are in danger? A report has found that one fifth of the world’s migrating animals are at risk of dying out. They often move from place to place because they might be looking for food, better weather, or a friend. This includes big animals like whales and elephants, and small animals like turtles, fish, and birds.
The report was by the United Nations (UN), a group of 193 countries that work together on problems facing people. The recent report looked at the health of these protected animals and found that the number of them is getting smaller, and some of them are at risk of disappearing forever.
Migrating animals face many dangers, because they often move from one place to another. For example, more than 1.5 million wildebeest (a wild African animal) travel through Tanzania and Kenya to follow the rain each year, crossing rivers where hungry Nile crocodiles (鳄鱼) live. However, the biggest danger to migrating animals is people, such as hunting, fishing and building things that destroy their homes.
It’s hard to protect migrating animals because of how far they travel. Monarch butterflies travel 3,000 miles every autumn from north-eastern North America to Mexico. But the report suggests that countries create safe areas of land to help animals. It also suggests that governments do more to fix climate (气候) change, as well as noise, light and plastic pollution.
The report showed projects that have helped migrating animals. In the South Atlantic Ocean, rules that stopped the hunting of humpback whales (座头鲸) helped make their numbers go from 450 in the 1950s to more than 25,000 today. Inger Andersen from the UN Environment Programme said, “There is hope. Humans can still do even more to protect migrating animals.”
23.What percent of migrating animals in the world are in danger?
A.10%. B.20%. C.50%. D.75%.
24.What is the biggest danger to migrating animals according to the text?
A.Moving from place to place. B.Natural enemies.
C.Human activities. D.Climate change.
25.How does the writer describe the advantages of the project in the last paragraph?
A.By telling stories. B.By asking questions.
C.By explaining reasons. D.By listing numbers.
26.What is the purpose of the text?
A.To introduce some kinds of migrating animals.
B.To call on people to protect migrating animals.
C.To show the importance of migrating animals.
D.To ask for advice on protecting migrating animals.

How far can bees travel to collect food? Scientists at Penn State University used an unusual method to track (追踪) honey bees. The work helps scientists learn more about how bees collect food and how far they travel.
Researchers used simple codes called “AprilTags”, which are similar to QR codes (二维码). These codes are easy for cameras to track and work out, even when the lighting isn’t good. Over the spring and summer, the scientists marked over 32,000 young bees spread across six different hives (蜂巢). By placing a solar-powered camera and a tiny computer above the entrance to a hive, the researchers could track the movements of the each marked bee.
The new system (系统) gave the researchers a lot of information about the bees’ movements. They found that most trips outside the hive took 1 to 4 minutes. The scientists think these short trips were used for quick jobs like checking the weather. Most trips, even longer ones, were shorter than 20 minutes. But about 34% of the bees took trips that lasted longer than two hours. The scientists say this could show that the bees were making longer trips to collect food. The researchers noticed that the bees spent more time out collecting when there were fewer flowers around.
The scientists were surprised by how long the bees lived. Before the study, scientists thought honey bees lived for about 28 days. But the marked bees didn’t start collecting food until they were around two weeks old. And the researchers discovered that the bees continued to collect food for six weeks after that.
Scientists know that bees use a special “waggle dance” to communicate with each other about where to collect food. Now the researchers want to see how their new tracking information matches up with these special movements. They plan to teach beekeepers and other scientists how to use their tracking system.
27.What does Paragraph 2 mainly tell us?
A.The reason for studying honey bees. B.The way to track honey bees.
C.The living habits of honey bees. D.The place of collecting food.
28.What can we infer about bees when there are fewer flowers around?
A.They need longer sleep. B.They may be dead soon.
C.They work harder to find food. D.They fight with other insects.
29.Why were the scientists surprised at the findings in Paragraph 4?
A.Because bees stopped collecting food after 28 days.
B.Because most of the bees took trips for 2 hours.
C.Because bees lived longer than they had thought.
D.Because bees flew far away to check the weather.
30.What will researches do next in the last paragraph?
A.Put off the research on bees. B.Study the dance of other insects.
C.Teach other scientists the system. D.Change ways of tracking bees.

Also, you can pick up some stones. The journey from our school to Long Beach takes only an hour. We are setting off at nine forty-five in the morning. Everybody must arrive at the school gate before nine thirty. We will be back at sixteen thirty. If you’d like to join in this trip, please pay Sally in the school office.
It is a really interesting and cool mix of art and history, just like stepping into a time machine without leaving the present!
Visitors start their journey at the entrance. They’re taken back to the time when Montreal was a trading place. As they walk forward, they’ll see the city’s development into an industrial center through different time periods. Finally, they’ll see modern Montreal with its lively culture and buildings.
The Time-Travel Projection is open every evening. It looks best after sunset when the projections are clearest. There are guided tours too, which tell you more about the city’s history. Best of all, this wonderful experience is free for everyone to enjoy.

You’ll also experience making traditional crafts yourself—like pottery or paper-cutting—which is both fun and meaningful!
If you prefer storytelling, the Chinese Fairy Tales course is great too. You’ll watch films about magical tales and even perform them with classmates. The teachers are humorous and always make lessons lively!
