Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Li Hua, writing with reference to your information on the Internet. I am wondering if it is possible for you to provide some details about the youth photography competition.
Firstly, would you be so kind as to tell me when and where the competition will be held? What's more, what is the deadline for the submission of the entries? In addition, I would be grateful if you could offer me more specific information about the theme.
Your early reply to the letter will be highly appreciated.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节(满分25分)
The young man who had helped me before recognized me. “You're back!” he greeted me warmly and asked about my painting progress. I hesitantly showed him some photos of my work on my phone. He admired them carefully and said, “These drawings are amazing! You've really captured something special.” Encouraged by his words, I shared how painting had become my comfort during difficult times. He listened patiently, offering tips on new techniques and materials I could try. As I left the store with fresh supplies, I felt a sense of relaxation and confidence.
As my interest in painting grew,my daughter began to ask if she could join me. Her eager request filled me with joy and hope. I gladly agreed and set up a small easel for her beside mine. Painting together became our special family time, full of creativity and laughter. As we mixed colors and created images, I cheerfully noticed a positive change in Gabby's mood. She seemed more energetic, even on days when her treatments were tough. I gradually realized that although life hadn't gone according to my original plans, it had also brought some pleasant surprises.

第二部分 阅读(共两节,满分50分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
A
If you are crazy about paintings, you shouldn't miss the following four famous masterpieces which have stood the test of time.
The Arnolfini Portrait
Jan van Eyck's The Arnolfini Portrait, an oil painting on wood produced in 1434, in which a man and a woman hold hands with a window behind him and a bed behind her, is undoubtedly one of the masterpieces in the National Gallery, London. This painting is as visually interesting as it is famed. It is also an informative document in fifteenth-century society, through Van Eyck's heavy use of symbolism—while husbands went out to engage in business, wives concerned themselves with domestic duties.
The Starry Night
Vincent van Gogh painted The Starry Night, oil on canvas, a moderately abstract landscape painting of an expressive night sky over a small hillside village, during his 12-month stay at the mental hospital in Saint-Rémy, France between 1889 and 1890. When the Museum of Modern Art in New York City purchased the painting from a private collector in 1941, it was not well-known, but it has since become one of Van Gogh's most famous works.
The Harvesters
The Harvesters is an oil painting on wood completed by Pieter Bruegel the Elder in 1565. It depicts the harvest time which most commonly occurs within the months of July and August. Nicolaes Jonghelinck, a merchant banker and art collector from Antwerp, commissioned this painting. The painting has been at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City since 1919.
Guernica
Guernica, a large black-and-white oil painting, was painted by the Cubist Spanish painter, Pablo Picasso in 1937. The title “Guernica” refers to the city that was bombed by Nazi planes during the Spanish Civil War. The painting depicts the horrors of war and as a result, has come to be an anti-war symbol and a reminder of the tragedies of war. Today, the painting is housed at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid.
21.Which of the following paintings was produced earliest?
A.The Arnolfini Portrait. B.The Starry Night.
C.The Harvesters. D.Guernica.
22.What do we know about the painting The Starry Night?
A.It was painted on wood in oil.
B.It described the painter's life in hospital.
C.It wasn't widely recognized before the 1940s.
D.It was given away to the museum by a private collector.
23.Who created the painting representing the massive catastrophe Nazi brought to people?
A.Jan van Eyck. B.Vincent van Gogh.
C.Pieter Bruegel the Elder. D.Pablo Picasso.

Before she could even talk, Ellie Heath spent hours drawing pictures every day. When she grew older, the 15-year-old girl discovered the joy of sewing(缝纫). She said that it made her calm. She started out to make small things, like jewelry and soft toys. Over time, she began making clothing. Her love of the creative work led her to start a business. Three Blue Bunnies is the name of her company, which makes what she calls “wearable art”.
“My definition of wearable art is something that makes you feel unique. It's one of a kind and often handmade.”
All the pieces Ellie created were made of used or donated fabrics. She worked a lot with jean jackets, renewing them with artistic additions. The process started with finding a piece of material that looked good with the jackets. “Then, I find out the design that works on it through trial and error(反复尝试),” she added.
Ellie sharpened her creative skills at school. Cheryl Crow was one of her teachers early on. Crow called Ellie “a dream student”. She said Ellie worked hard and made progress. “She is always not only very creative, but also very kind and helpful to the other students.”
Ellie has many dreams. She wants to be a teacher and to spread the joy of creativity among children. She also dreams her business will grow and become a model for other young people who have a dream they want to realize.
24.What does “wearable art” mean according to Ellie Heath?
A.Something that is valuable.
B.Something that can be worn.
C.Something that cannot be found anywhere else.
D.Something that makes you different from others.
25.Which of the following words can best describe Ellie?
A.Shy and clever. B.Generous and outgoing.
C.Creative and determined. D.Hard-working and unique.
26.What can we learn from paragraph 3?
A.All of the cloth comes from donation.
B.Ellie got a lot of pleasure from her design.
C.The process of artistic design is usually not easy.
D.It is a piece of cake for Ellie to create a unique item of clothing.
27.What does the underlined word “sharpened” mean in paragraph 4?
A.Applied. B.Improved. C.Performed. D.Challenged.
C
Art history, as traditionally narrated, is a story of geniuses: Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Picasso. Their monumental works and revolutionary styles form the pillars of our museums and textbooks. This “great man” approach, however, constructs a narrow corridor through the vast cathedral of artistic production. In recent decades, scholars have turned their attention to the periphery of this narrative, arguing that a richer understanding of cultural history emerges from studying the networks, workshops, and “minor” figures who formed the essential ecosystem in which genius could flourish.
Sofonisba Anguissola (1532–1625) serves as a compelling case study. An Italian Renaissance painter of noble birth, she achieved international fame in her lifetime, even becoming a court painter to the Spanish king. Yet, for centuries after her death, she was relegated to a footnote, often remembered more for being a rare successful female artist than for her artistic merit. A closer examination of her work and career reveals why she is pivotal. Largely barred from studying anatomy or drawing from live male models (standard training for her male counterparts), Anguissola pioneered a new genre: the intimate, psychologically nuanced portrait, often of her own family members. Her painting “The Chess Game” is a masterclass in naturalism and character depiction, capturing a moment of lively interaction between her sisters.
Her influence radiated through channels often ignored by the genius-centric model. As a teacher, she influenced the young Anthony van Dyck. More subtly, her sophisticated portraits, circulated through prints and the movement of courtly elites, helped disseminate the Italian Renaissance aesthetic across Europe. Her success also created a fragile but tangible path for subsequent women artists like Lavinia Fontana and Artemisia Gentileschi.
Reinserting Anguissola into the narrative does not merely add a name to a list. It forces a reconceptualization of the Renaissance itself. It shifts focus from isolated masterpieces to artistic exchange, from individual inspiration to the constraints and opportunities of societal structures (like gender and class). It asks us to consider art not as a series of seismic disruptions by solitary giants, but as a collaborative and cumulative human endeavor, a conversation across time and space where every participant, regardless of subsequent fame, shapes the dialogue. The goal is not to topple the giants from their plinths but to rebuild the bustling, vibrant city square in which they once stood.
28.What is the primary purpose of the passage?
A.To provide a detailed biography of Sofonisba Anguissola.
B.To critique the technical limitations of Renaissance female artists.
C.To compare the artistic styles of Anguissola and Michelangelo.
D.To advocate for a broader methodology in studying art history.
29.According to the passage, how did Anguissola’s constraints contribute to her innovation?
A.They forced her to work on a smaller, less expensive scale, leading to greater detail.
B.They led her to develop a new genre focused on informal, psychological portraiture.
C.They motivated her to secretly study anatomy, resulting in more accurate human figures.
D.They caused her to reject Renaissance ideals in favor of a more personal style.
30.The author mentions Anthony van Dyck primarily to ________.
A.highlight the superiority of Flemish painting techniques
B.demonstrate Anguissola’s direct role in shaping later artistic traditions
C.contrast the training available to male and female artists
D.list the famous artists who studied under Italian masters
31.What does the metaphor of “the bustling, vibrant city square” (last paragraph) represent?
A.The complex, interactive context of artistic production.
B.The competitive art market of the Renaissance.
C.The forgotten masterpieces of minor artists.
D.The public spaces where art was originally displayed.
D
Of course Polly had been introduced to Art as an infant. Of course the local school provided her — indiscriminately, as it did all children — with paint and clay and crayons, and she had made, as all children make, representations of her home and family — triangular-shaped father and mother holding hands, box-shaped brother in outsized shorts standing apart — as well as of daisies in a vase, and even a funny-looking teacup or two, each of them intensely satisfying for a day or two, then desperately unsatisfying from then on.
But what Miss Abigail at the camp introduced her to was Real Art: in her whispery, bubbly, disquieting voice she had urged them to ‘paint your dreams — show me what you dreamed last night’. She had spaced the words, leaving great gaps for them to fill, and then sighed a replete sigh, as one might when overcome by swirls of opium (鸦片) , when Polly presented a particularly shocking or mysterious painting — headless figures in shades of purple appearing on the surface of a lake with large, many-pointed stars shining down on them out of a streaky sky.
For the sake of that narrowing of green cat’s eyes, that slow exhalation of breath that spoke such volumes, and simply for the sake of staying close to that charmingly scented young woman with her flowing red hair and flowing purple dresses, Polly dedicated the summer to paint, letting others canoe, shoot arrows, roast marshmallows or run around working up a sweat.
She came home reluctantly, with her paintings rolled up into an impressively long roll — Miss Abigail had insisted she always use large sheets of thick paper for her art. The family had been faintly surprised by what she spread out on the dining table for them; they turned to her with quizzical looks and remarks, making her roll them up again in offended annoyance, and carry them up to the attic (阁楼) where she spread them out along with all her painting equipment. She was determined to find herself a tie-dyed skirt, wear her hair loose, not in tight painful pigtails any more, and spend the rest of the summer drawing long strokes of purple paint across sheets of paper, humming the sad tunes Miss Abigail had hummed at the camp.
It was then that she discovered she could sail through the green leaves and the yellow air and be the artist without having to go through the sticky steps required by actual painting. Truth be told, she had no distinct memory of any of Miss Abigail’s paintings, only of her loose hair, the long skirts, the whispering voice. She became convinced that art was not so much a matter of painting as of being an artist.
32.The first paragraph mainly serves to __________.
A.criticize the shortcomings in Polly’s art education at school
B.establish that Polly’s talent for art was evident at an early age
C.demonstrate art is an important part of Polly’s school education
D.draw a contrast between Polly’s earliest and later art experiences
33.What is the core definition of Real Art as presented in the passage?
A.An art form that requires using large sheets of thick paper and special purple paint.
B.An art form that focuses on expressing one’s inner dreams rather than daily scenes.
C.An art form that creates mysterious or shocking works to impress other people.
D.An art form that depends largely on those charming teachers at summer camps.
34.What does the underlined sentence in Paragraph 5 imply?
A.Polly found that being an artist is more about a state of mind than just painting.
B.Polly decided to give up actual painting and focus on enjoying nature instead.
C.Polly realized that painting in the open air is more enjoyable than indoor painting.
D.Polly thought the process of actual painting was way too tiring and messy.
35.Which can be the best title for the passage?
A.Miss Abigail’s Unique Way of Teaching Real Art at Summer Camp
B.Polly’s Journey of Understanding the True Essence of Real Art
C.Why Polly Gave Up Camp Activities to Focus on Painting Dreams
D.The Difference Between School Art and Real Art in Polly’s Life

Drawing is a great way to express yourself and share your creativity with others. 36 That's because you need only simple supplies. Check out these tips to make your drawing skills better.
Gather supplies.
One of the best parts about drawing is that you can get started right away with paper and pencils you already have. Drawing in a sketchbook(素描册) is also a great idea. 37 You can also experiment with other drawing materials, like colored pencils or markers.
Pick your subject.
When thinking about what to draw, choose something you feel excited about. 38 Items around your home, like a bowl of fruit or a favorite toy, can also be great subjects. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, seek inspiration online and print out what you'd like to draw.
Draw often.
39 If something does attract you, try to work on it as often as you can. Put a small sketchbook in your backpack so you can draw when you have free time, like when you're waiting for an activity to start. You could even give yourself mini challenges. For example, you can draw the same object for a week and see how much you improve.
Seek more resources.
You can improve your drawing by practicing on your own, but you can also get better with help. Ask a librarian to help you search for step-by-step drawing books at your local or school library. Museums and art studios in your area may also offer drawing classes. 40
A.It is also an easy hobby to pursue.
B.It takes practice to get really good at drawing.
C.You won't draw perfectly unless you're patient enough.
D.Ask an art teacher at school to point you in the right direction.
E.It can help you easily look back at your work and see your progress.

I liked things going according to my plans. But lately there had been lots of troubles in my life. My daughter Gabby had a disease, making it difficult for me to focus on my job. One day, I went for a walk on the beach. It was something I'd been too busy to do before. As I slowly walked, looking at the blue sky and sea, my mood gradually lightened.
On my way home, I came across an art supply store. Attracted by the beautiful decorations, I walked inside. I hadn't painted since I was a child, and I had already forgotten what most of the tools were for. Therefore, I decided to leave after a while. Just then, a young man approached and asked whether I needed any help. I wanted to say no and get out of the store. But soon I changed my mind and replied, “I would like to paint, but I don't know what to buy.”
“My dad is an artist. I can show you everything you need,” the young man offered. He carefully picked out a set of paints and recommended brushes and other necessary things. “Have fun!” he added before I left. “I expect you to show me a painting the next time you come in here.”
I smiled weakly. Not likely, I thought. Yet that night, after Gabby went to sleep, I set up the easel (画架) and the tools in the dining room and decided to give it a try. What should I paint? I closed my eyes. Suddenly, I could imagine the blueness of the sky connected with the deeper, darker shades (色度) of the sea. I took a deep breath and began to draw.
I kept painting for the next few weeks. Whenever I felt stressed, I painted, and then I could forget all my troubles. I used my phone to take pictures of my paintings, so I could carry that feeling of peace with me. One afternoon, when I ran out of canvases (画布), I returned to the store to get some more.
注意:续写词数应为150个左右。
The young man who had helped me before recognized me.
As my interest in painting grew,my daughter began to ask if she could join me.

Put a small sketchbook in your backpack so you can draw when you have free time, like when you're waiting for an activity to start. You could even give yourself mini challenges. For example, you can draw the same object for a week and see how much you improve.
Seek more resources.
You can improve your drawing by practicing on your own, but you can also get better with help. Ask a librarian to help you search for step-by-step drawing books at your local or school library. Museums and art studios in your area may also offer drawing classes. 40

M: Do you know what time the bus is supposed to come, Mandy? I arrived at 4:50 and now it’s already a quarter past five.
W: Well, obviously it’s ten minutes late.
【Text 2】
W: I heard there’s a newly opened supermarket in our block. Is it near the theater?
M: No. It’s opposite the bank, right next to the cinema.
【Text 3】
M: You see, I like going off and doing my own thing. You know, history and museums—those are what interest me.
W: Well, I love markets and looking for bargains. We all want a particular kind of holiday. The trouble is that it isn’t the same!
【Text 4】
M: Peter and I have decided to go hiking in the nearby countryside this afternoon. Do you want to join us?
W: Go hiking under such a burning sun? I think I’ll pass.
【Text 5】
M: The musical was terrible. I don’t even understand what they wanted to express. What do you think of it?
W: Well, it’s not that bad, just not as good as I’d expected.
【Text 6】
W: Excuse me, my flight has been delayed and there are a few questions. Can you help me?
M: Yes, madam. What can I do for you?
W: First of all, where can I exchange some currency?
M: You just go upstairs on the right, and you will see the currency exchange office.
W: Thank you. And can you tell me where the nearest restaurant is?
M: This airport has many. Just walk down that corridor and you can take your pick.
W: Great. One more thing, do you know when the duty-free shop opens?
M: I believe it opens at 10:00, madam.
W: Thank you.
M: You are welcome.
【Text 7】
M: Interesting news!
W: What’s that, John?
M: It’s about a picture drawn by Georges Remi. When the picture appeared in a public sale last week, it quickly reached $2 million. And it was sold for $1.8 million more than that at last.
W: Amazing! But who is Georges Remi?
M: He’s a Belgian artist. He created the drawing as the cover of his book, The Blue Lotus. Then he drew a simpler version of the picture with a black dragon and a red background. He gave the original drawing to the 7-year-old son of his editor, which wasn’t seen again until 1981.
W: Have you read the book?
M: Yes. It tells the story of a young reporter called Tintin, his dog Snowy, and their adventures in China. In the original picture, Tintin and Snowy are hiding in a large vase while a huge dragon floats above them.
【Text 8】
W: What happened to you, Billy? A few hours ago you were over the moon, and now you’re acting like the world is about to end.
M: Oh, it must be the pills my doctor gave me for my headaches. The medicine makes me so moody.
W: Well, that explains everything. For a moment I thought you were still reading that romance novel.
M: No, I gave it up. I just found the plot was not that attractive.
W: Alright. Anyway, are you still feeling okay to help me with my term paper this evening? I mean, that’s totally fine with me if you want to change it to another day. I can help my mom do some cleaning, or teach my sister to play the guitar instead.
M: Let’s stick to our original plan, Grace. I’m fine. Don’t be worried.
W: Okay. Do you need a cup of hot cocoa? It always gives some peace to my nerves.
M: No, just some soda water would be fine. Thanks.
W: Okay.
【Text 9】
M: Oh, there you are!
W: Hi. Did you get the classes you wanted?
M: Not really. My physics lectures are 8 to 9 in the morning on Tuesday and Thursday. Those are going to be killers. I’ll need two alarm clocks. And I get a Friday lab from 2 to 4. I can’t get an earlier one because they conflict with my biology courses.
W: Those Friday classes sure ruin a four-day week.
M: Yeah. You still have time before you register the courses?
W: There are still a few minutes left till ten.
M: I’ve heard that there’s a real shortage of dorm space this year.
W: How come? The student body doesn’t increase, I think.
M: They pulled down Dormitory A to put up a new one—but it won’t be finished until the end of December.
W: Too bad. I wouldn’t want to live outside the campus anyway. You know, it’s economical and convenient to live right here.
M: Yeah. But we could share the money for an apartment—and think of the parties we could throw! You can’t have a real party in a dorm room.
W: Yeah. That’s a very good point. Let’s keep our eyes open for a place outside school for next year, then.
【Text 10】
M: Welcome to Inhotim. Now I’ll give an introduction to it, first. From a distance, Inhotim looks like typical Brazilian countryside, but as you get closer, you notice something a bit unusual. There are tourists walking through the fields and gardens! This beautiful place started as a farm and for many years only farmers lived here. But that all changed in the 1990s when billionaire Bernardo Paz decided to use the space for something very different. He created a “Disneyland” for art lovers! Today, people travel from around the world and look at the art. The spaces of Inhotim include more than 500 sculptures by Brazilian and international artists. As well as being important culturally, it is really important for the local area because Inhotim creates a lot of jobs—1,000 people work here in the museum, gardens and restaurants. Although it is quite far from the usual tourist spots of Brazil, it is now a very successful and popular outdoor museum.
语篇解读 本文是一篇应用文。文章主要介绍了四幅经受住了时间的考验的名画。
21.A 细节理解题。根据The Arnolfini Portrait部分中的“in 1434”、The Starry Night部分中的“between 1889 and 1890”、The Harvesters部分中的“in 1565”和Guernica部分中的“in 1937”可知,The Arnolfini Portrait是最早创作的画。故选A。
22.C 推理判断题。根据The Starry Night部分中的“When the Museum of Modern Art in New York City purchased the painting from a private collector in 1941, it was not well-known, but it has since become one of Van Gogh's most famous works.”可推断,The Starry Night在1941年之前没有被广泛认可。故选C。
23.D 细节理解题。根据Guernica部分中的“The painting depicts the horrors of war and as a result, has come to be an anti-war symbol and a reminder of the tragedies of war.”可知,巴勃罗·毕加索创造的油画描述了纳粹给人类带来的巨大灾难。故选D。
B
语篇解读 本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了一位名叫埃莉·希思的女孩变废为宝——用废弃的布料制作可穿戴的艺术品的故事。
24.D 细节理解题。根据第二段“My definition of wearable art is something that makes you feel unique. It's one of a kind and often handmade.”可知,Ellie认为可穿戴艺术是能让你与众不同的东西。故选D。
25.C 推理判断题。根据第三段中的“I find out the design that works on it through trial and error”可推断,Ellie很坚定,她会进行反复尝试;根据第四段中的“She is always not only very creative”可知Ellie有创造力。故选C。
26.C 推理判断题。根据第三段中的“Then, I find out the design that works on it through trial and error”可知,Ellie要进行反复尝试,所以艺术设计的过程通常是不容易的。故选C。
27.B 词义猜测题。根据画线词后面的“Crow called Ellie ‘a dream student’.”和“She is always not only very creative”可知,Ellie是一个有梦想的学生,她学习努力,有创造力。由此可推测,画线词所在句子的意思是“Ellie在学校里提高了创作能力”,所以画线词sharpened意为“提高”。故选B。
【答案】28.D 29.B 30.B 31.A
根据第一段中的“This “great man” approach, however, constructs a narrow corridor through the vast cathedral of artistic production. In recent decades, scholars have turned their attention to the periphery of this narrative, arguing that a richer understanding of cultural history emerges from studying the networks, workshops, and ‘minor’ figures who formed the essential ecosystem in which genius could flourish.(然而,这种“伟人论”方法在浩瀚的艺术创作殿堂中开辟了一条狭窄的通道。近几十年来,学者们将注意力转向了这一叙事的边缘,认为通过研究构成天才得以蓬勃发展的重要生态系统的网络、工坊和“次要”人物,能更深入地理解文化史)”以及全文围绕这一观点,以 Sofonisba Anguissola为例展开论述可知,文章的主要目的是倡导一种更广阔的艺术史研究方法。故选D项。
29.细节理解题。根据第二段中的“Largely barred from studying anatomy or drawing from live male models (standard training for her male counterparts), Anguissola pioneered a new genre: the intimate, psychologically nuanced portrait, often of her own family members.(由于基本上被禁止学习解剖学或临摹男性人体模特——这是她男性同行的标准训练内容,Anguissola开创了一种新流派:亲切、蕴含细腻心理活动的肖像画,对象通常是她自己的家人)”可知,Sofonisba Anguissola面临的限制促使她开创了以非正式、注重心理刻画的肖像画为核心的新流派。故选B项。
30.推理判断题。根据第三段中的“Her influence radiated through channels often ignored by the genius-centric model. As a teacher, she influenced the young Anthony van Dyck.(她的影响力通过那些以天才为中心的模式经常忽略的渠道传播。作为一名教师,她影响了年轻的Anthony van Dyck)”可知,作者提及Anthony van Dyck,主要是为了证明Sofonisba Anguissola在塑造后来的艺术传统中所扮演的直接角色。故选B项。
31.推理判断题。根据最后一段中的“It shifts focus from isolated masterpieces to artistic exchange, from individual inspiration to the constraints and opportunities of societal structures (like gender and class). It asks us to consider art not as a series of seismic disruptions by solitary giants, but as a collaborative and cumulative human endeavor, a conversation across time and space where every participant, regardless of subsequent fame, shapes the dialogue. 故选A项。
D.The Difference Between School Art and Real Art in Polly’s Life
【答案】32.D 33.B 34.A 35.B
根据第一段“Of course Polly had been introduced to Art as an infant. Of course the local school provided her — indiscriminately, as it did all children — with paint and clay and crayons, and she had made, as all children make, representations of her home and family — triangular-shaped father and mother holding hands, box-shaped brother in outsized shorts standing apart — as well as of daisies in a vase, and even a funny-looking teacup or two, each of them intensely satisfying for a day or two, then desperately unsatisfying from then on.(波莉当然在襁褓中就接触过艺术了。
根据第二段中的“But what Miss Abigail at the camp introduced her to was Real Art: in her whispery, bubbly, disquieting voice she had urged them to ‘paint your dreams — show me what you dreamed last night’(但夏令营里的阿比盖尔小姐向她引荐的,才是真正的艺术:她用轻柔、活泼又令人不安的声音催促他们:‘画出你的梦境 —— 让我看看你昨晚梦见了什么’)”可知,阿比盖尔小姐所倡导的“真正的艺术”核心是表达内心的梦,而不是日常的情景。故选B项。
34.词句猜测题。根据第五段中的“Truth be told, she had no distinct memory of any of Miss Abigail’s paintings, only of her loose hair, the long skirts, the whispering voice. She became convinced that art was not so much a matter of painting as of being an artist.(说实话,她对阿比盖尔小姐的任何画作都没有清晰的记忆,只记得她松散的头发、长长的裙子和轻柔的声音。她开始相信,艺术与其说是绘画,不如说是成为一名艺术家)”结合划线句“It was then that she discovered she could sail through the green leaves and the yellow air and be the artist without having to go through the sticky steps required by actual painting.” 故选A项。

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
