2. 能够听、说、认读farmer、nurse、doctor、office worker、factory worker等职业单词和词组,并运用句型“What’s your ...’s job? He’s/She’s a/an ...”与他人谈论家人的职业。
3. 能够通过对比词形特征,梳理以-er结尾表示职业的单词,归纳该类词的拼写与发音规律;知道-or也可以表示职业。
4. 能够通过服装辨认不同职业并用英语就该职业进行简单问答。
5. 能够运用所学内容制作以“Career Day”为主题的海报。

【Step 1: Warm up and lead-in】
1. Listen and sing
T: Let’s enjoy a song. What’s the song about?
Ss: It’s about jobs.
2. Let’s review
T: What’s Sarah’s father’s job?
Ss: He’s a PE teacher.
T: What’s her mother’s job?
Ss: She’s a doctor.
T: What about Binbin’s father?
Ss: He’s a doctor too.
T: So look at Sarah’s and Binbin’s families. How are families different?
Ss: Families are different in size. Families are different in jobs.
【Step 2: Presentation and practice】
1. Watch and match
T: It’s Career Day today. The children are looking at the pictures of different jobs. What are their jobs? Let’s watch and match on your worksheet Task 1.

T: Picture 2. What’s her job? She’s a ... nurse. “ur” sounds /ɜ:/. N-ur-se, nurse. This is a silent “e”. 学生跟读学习单词nurse。

T: What do you think of the job? Factory workers are ... tired. Mmm... Maybe. But are they helpful? Why? Because they make many things in the factory: computers, phones, watches, desks, books, so many things we need. Factory workers are helpful.
3. Think and share
T: What do you think of the jobs? Farmers are ... tired too. Are they helpful? Yes! They plant rice, vegetables and fruit for people to eat. Right? What about nurses and doctors? Are they helpful? Yes, that’s for sure. They help many sick people at work. They’re helpful and great! And the office workers? Are they helpful? Yes. They do many things on the computers. So, they are all helpful!

T: Now look at these words. What do you find?
Ss: They all end with “er”.
T: How do we spell “teacher”? “Teach” with “-er”, it’s teacher. “Farm” with “-er”, it’s farmer. 讲解规律。Now, let’s try to spell new words. “Sing” with “er”, it’s singer.
