Here are three key things to consider, and a chart to help you decide. First, how much the bag weighs matters. Experts suggest choosing one under 1.5 kg—then the bag won’t be too heavy. Second, strap design affects comfort. Wide, soft straps are better than thin ones: they spread weight across both shoulders, and stop the bag from moving when you walk. Third, how the bag is divided inside is also important. A good bag should have separate parts. This helps you find your things quickly. The chart below shows three popular models’ features: Model Empty Weight Strap (带子) Design Pockets 1.2 kg Wide hard shoulder straps; with no chest/ waist parts 1 main; 2 small side; 1 computer 1.4 kg Wide soft straps; with waist strap 2 main; 3 small; 1 computer 1.8 kg Thin straps; with chest strap 1 main; 1 small; no computer 21. Why does the writer mention the weight of a schoolbag at the beginning? A. To explain one key point that affects comfort. B. To describe how students carry books every day. C. To show what makes a schoolbag popular with students. 22. How do wide and soft straps help students when they walk? A. They make the bag look nicer. B. They hold books more closely. C. They share the weight on the shoulders. 23. What is one advantage of having different inside parts in a schoolbag? A. Things can be found more easily. B. The bag becomes lighter to carry. C. The bag has space for more books. 24. Which schoolbag best matches all the advice given in the text? A. Model A. B. Model B. C. Model C. 25. Why does the writer use both written advice and a chart in the text? A. To show how different schoolbags look. B. To introduce popular brands to students. C. To help readers compare choices more clearly. B Fire safety is a basic but important skill for everyone, especially students. We spend lots of time at home and school, so knowing how to prevent fires and act in dangerous situations saves lives. First, we must prevent fires from starting. Never play with matches or lighters—they are not toys. When leaving a room, always turn off electrical things like lights and computers. Keep escape ways out clear; don’t block them with books or bags. In the kitchen, remind adults not to leave hot cookers alone. If a fire breaks out, stay calm. First, call 119 immediately and tell firefighters your exact address. If there’s thick smoke, cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel. Get down and move on your hands and knees to the way out because smoke rises up, leaving cleaner air near the floor. Never take the elevator—it’s dangerous if the power cuts off. If your clothes catch fire, remember “stop, drop, and roll” to put out the fire. After escaping, stay outside and never go back inside for anything. Practicing what to do in a fire helps us act quickly. Fire safety isn’t just knowledge; it’s our duty to protect ourselves and others. 26. Why is fire safety important, according to the beginning of the text? A. It’s easy for teenagers to cause a fire. B. Schools usually teach fire safety rules. C. Knowing fire safety helps people stay safe. 27. What is suggested to cut fire risks at home or school? A. Using computers for a shorter time. B. Putting books near doors for quick use. C. Turning off electrical things when leaving. 28. Why should people move close to the floor when there is smoke? A. The air is cleaner lower down. B. Fire spreads more slowly there. C. The floor feels cooler than other places. 29. What does the example “stop, drop, and roll” mainly show? A. A way to escape from a building. B. A skill firefighters often practice. C. A method to put out a fire on clothes. 30. How is the text mainly developed to teach fire safety? A. By listing rules and explaining reasons. B. By sharing different personal fire stories. C. By comparing different kinds of accidents. C The 15th National Games opened in Guangzhou on November 9, 2025. It is co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. From professional athletes to ordinary people who love sports, everyone is enjoying the event. The China International Search and Rescue Team (CISAR) was set up in 2001 and is now made up of several hundred rescue workers and about 20 trained dogs. The team brings help and hope to those poor people after a storm, flood, earthquake, or any other natural disaster. Some even lost their homes and families. After years of strict and careful training, the team took on its first international rescue tasks in 2003. That year, the Chinese team helped save lives after earthquakes in Algeria and Iran. It was the first time that a Chinese team worked abroad, and the team won high praise for their bravery and professional skills. Since then, the CISAR has finished many tasks. The list of people to whom help has been given is long. The team treated more than 3,000 injured (受伤的) people in the 2006 earthquake in Indonesia, and spent several months giving help to over 25,000 people of the 2010 floods in Pakistan. Being a rescue worker isn’t easy. They need to learn how to find trapped people, treat injuries and give out food, water and other supplies. They have to work in dangerous and difficult conditions: after a disaster, there’s often no electricity or clean water, and diseases and accidents may break out. Rescuers fight to save lives, but they also have to face the danger of death. So they need to be strong both in body and mind. Rescue workers also need to be kind-hearted. It takes a lot of love and courage to risk your own life to save others. The members of CISAR have plenty of both, and they’ re always ready to go wherever they’ re needed. CHINA TO THE RESCUE! B. 任务型阅读。(共5小题;每小题2分,计10分) 根据短文内容,按要求回答问题。 The Super Power of “Yet” In the fast-moving world, many people hope to succeed quickly. But real success hardly comes so fast. True success takes time and hard work. It also needs the right mindset. This means how we think about our own ability. Psychologist Carol Dweck has spent years studying this. She says there are two main types: Fixed Mindset: People think their abilities are unchangeable. They may think. “I’m just not good at math,” and stop trying. Growth Mindset: People believe their abilities can grow through practice, strategy, and learning from mistakes. Dweck’s research shows that a growth mindset greatly improves learning. She also explains that growth happens through four stages (comfort zone — fear zone — learning zone— growth zone). Moving from one zone (区域) to the next isn’t easy. Some people stop because they fear making mistakes and keep thinking. “What if things don’t go as planned?” To test how to get over that fear. Dweck worked with a soccer club. Coaches there told the players that mistakes are a natural part of improvement. When a player said, “I can’t do this,” the coaches encouraged them to add one small but powerful word, “yet”. Saying “I can’t do this yet” changes the meaning. It shows the player simply hasn’t got the skill so far, but believes success will come with hard work. This idea works besides sports. Whether you’ re solving a difficult math problem, preparing for an English exam, or learning a musical instrument, remember the superpower of “Yet”. Challenges are opportunities to grow. Believe in yourself, stay patient, and keep practicing. Your abilities are not fixed— they are waiting to grow! 56. Students have different ideas about daily mistake correction. Some think it’s helpful, as it lets them learn from mistakes and improve problem-solving skills. Others say it’s stressful, arguing it takes time from other activities. In my view, it’s very useful. Firstly, it teaches us to think carefully and develop good learning habits, helping us focus more on studies. Secondly, it helps us find our weak points in learning. Although it takes some time, the progress it brings is really worth the effort. 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
