Looking forward to your reply. It was a rainy Tuesday afternoon when Lily walked into the classroom, her heart still full of excitement. It was her birthday, and she had baked a batch of chocolate cupcakes the night before,hoping to share them with her classmates. She imagined the surprised look on her best friend Emma's face and the warm birthday wishes that would follow. But when she arrived, no one said anything. Not even Emma. Lily waited patiently through the first two classes, telling herself that maybe they were planning a surprise.
