Up on the 31st floor of one of the city’s most striking buildings, the restaurant’s daily hours from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. means that there’s at least a chance of snagging an especially coveted window table. 根据“Crab Shack, Soneva Jani, Maldives”部分中的“Finish the evening with a Maldivian sunset, pretty enough to steal your heart, as well as your Valentine’s. 故选A项。 根据文章标题“Share the love: The world’s most romantic restaurants (分享爱:世界上最浪漫的餐厅)”以及第一段“There are some special establishments well worth a punt for Valentine’s Day. Here are 4 of the world’s most romantic restaurants where the love is well shared. B The green, natural forest absorbs carbon dioxide from the air through photo- synthesis There is another way of dealing with the climate crisis. That is setting up fields of dark-colored solar panels (太阳能电池板), also known as “solar forests”, which replace power stations that use fossil fuels such as coal and gas to make electricity, thus mitigating harmful emissions (排放) of greenhouse gases. But since they are both relatively dark, they absorb a lot of solar radiation. Some of the energy is used for photosynthesis in natural forests or to produce electricity in “solar forests”, but most returns to the atmosphere, heating it up. Then what would be the more effective land use option in terms of the climate crisis: planting a forest, or building solar panels? This issue has long been debated by decision-makers around the world. Now, we may have an answer, thanks to a new study. First, the researchers compared the impact of a forest on the climate crisis in a dry area to that of a solar farm in a similar environment. The researchers found that the albedo effect (反射效应) of both of these “forests” was similar, but that the absorption or prevention of carbon emissions was very different. It turns out that it takes 2.5 years for the heat emitted by solar farms to be balanced by the carbon emissions that are avoided, thanks to the energy they produce. In the case of a natural forest of similar size, it would take more than 100 years of photosynthesis to balance its heating effect. The researchers also studied how the heating-cooling relationship changed in other climates and found that in more humid environments, the heating effect of planting large numbers of trees is smaller. And the break-even point is reached within 15 to 18 years. “In dry places, building solar forests seems far more effective in addressing the climate crisis. Meanwhile, forests absorb about a third of annual carbon emissions and play a vital role in the global rain cycle, in maintaining biodiversity and in many other environmental and social contexts. Preventing them from being cut down and planting more trees in humid areas are of great significance,” explains one of the researchers in the study. 4. What does the underlined word “mitigating” in Paragraph 1 probably mean? A. Releasing. B. Decreasing. C. Generating. D. Stabilizing. 5. What is the root cause of the long-running debate over the two types of forests? A. They cause much damage to the land. B. They result in a serious loss of farmland. C. They contribute to the warming of the atmosphere. D. They lose energy during the absorption of solar radiation. 6. What did the researchers find in the study conducted in the dry environment? A. The natural forest exhibits a stronger albedo effect. B. The solar forest can generate more energy in dry areas. C. The solar forest is superior in balancing the heating effect. D. The natural forest is more effective in solving the climate crisis. 7. What can be concluded from the last paragraph? A. More trees should be planted in dry regions. B. More methods should be adopted to address the climate crisis. C. Fields of solar panels should be set up everywhere on the earth. D. Building solar panels and planting trees should be effectively combined. B 5. C 6. C 7. 划线词前文提到“That is setting up fields of dark-colored solar panels, also known as “solar forests", which replace power stations that use fossil fuels such as coal and gas to make electricity”(这就是建立深色太阳能电池板,也被称为“太阳能森林”,取代使用煤和天然气等化石燃料发电的发电站)说明采用深色的太阳能电池板,就可以取代煤和天然气等化石燃料,那么使用无污染的太阳能就可以减少化石燃料排放的温室气体。A. Releasing.释放;B. Decreasing.减少;C. Generating.产生;D. Stabilizing.稳定。故选B。 【5题详解】 细节理解题。第二段第二句提到“Some of the energy is used for photosynthesis in natural forests or to produce electricity in “solar forests”, but most returns to the atmosphere, heating it up.”(部分能量在天然森林中用于光合作用或在“太阳能森林”中用于发电,但大部分能量返回大气,使其升温。)由此判断,两种森林都会造成温度的升高,因此才会引起对这两种森林的争论。故选C。 【6题详解】 细节理解题。第三段提到研究人员比较了干旱地区森林对气候危机的影响与类似环境下太阳能农场的影响。“It turns out that it takes 2.5 years for the heat emitted by solar farms to be balanced by the carbon emissions that are avoided, thanks to the energy they produce. In the case of a natural forest of similar size, it would take more than 100 years of photosynthesis to balance its heating effect.”(事实证明,太阳能发电场释放的热量需要2.5年的时间才能与它们产生的能量所避免的碳排放相平衡。以同样大小的天然森林为例,它需要100多年的光合作用来平衡它的加热效应。)由此判断,在干燥地区,太阳能森林只需要2.5年就能与它们产生的能量所避免的碳排放相平衡,而天然森林则需要100多年,说明太阳能森林在平衡热效应方面更胜一筹。故选C。 【7题详解】 推理判断题。最后一段提到“In dry places, building solar forests seems far more effective in addressing the climate crisis. Meanwhile, forests absorb about a third of annual carbon emissions and play a vital role in the global rain cycle, in maintaining biodiversity and in many other environmental and social contexts. Preventing them from being cut down and planting more trees in humid areas are of great significance”(在干旱地区,建造太阳能森林似乎在解决气候危机方面更有效。与此同时,森林吸收了每年约三分之一的碳排放量,在全球降雨循环、维持生物多样性以及许多其他环境和社会背景中发挥着至关重要的作用。防止它们被砍伐,在潮湿地区种植更多的树木具有重要意义)由此判断,在不同环境区域,太阳能森林和天然森林能发挥的功能、作用和优势也不同,因此两种森林有效结合起来就可以发挥出最大的效果。故选D。 C Approximately 27% of jobs are at high risk of automation amid the artificial intelligence revolution, according to a news report. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD), a global policy forum that includes 38 members, said in a Tuesday report that high-skill occupations are still at least risk of automation. Low-to-middle skilled jobs are most at risk, including construction, farming, fishing, forestry and, to a lesser extent, production and transportation, the report said. The report said that while adoption of AI is still relatively low, rapid progress, falling technology costs and the increasing availability of workers with Al skills suggest that OECD countries may be on the edge of an AI revolution. The OECD also found that there is little evidence of negative employment effects for firms that adopt AI so far, and workers and employees report that AI can reduce tedious and dangerous tasks, which works are dreaming to get rid of. Nevertheless, concerns about AI in the workforce continue to spread, with the survey last year finding that three in five workers are worried about losing their job to AI within the next decade. Additionally, a similar amount worry that wages would decrease due to AI, more than half of workers are concerned about privacy and three in four say that AI has increased work pace. Rapid development and adoption mean that new skills will be needed and others will become old-fashioned, advising that governments encourage employers to provide more training, integrate AI skills into education and support diversity in the AI workforce. The OECD said its report highlights the “urgent need for policy action” to address AI risks in the workplace and to ensure “accountability and transparency for employment-related decisions supported by AI”. “The recent acceleration of generative Al-related developments and tools marks a technological watershed with material implications in many workplaces. There is a real need to consider longer term policy frameworks on the use of AI in the workplace and to continue to foster international cooperation to maximize the benefits while appropriately managing the downside risks,” OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann said in a statement. 8. What does the underlined word “tedious” in Paragraph 4 mean? A. Ridiculous. B. Curious. C. Influential. D. Tiresome. 9. How can people keep pace with AI automation according to the OECD? A. They should increase their work pace. B. They should receive training on skills and education. C. They should accept lower wages of old-fashioned skills. D. They should employ more AI related tools. 10. What can we learn from the news report? A. Governments have done a lot to deal with AI automation. B. AI automation has many benefits for employees. C. Most workforce are depressed to find their job taken place of by AI. D. 60% of workforce are concerned about being out of work in ten years. 11. What’s the main idea of the passage? A. AI automation puts some of the jobs at high risk. B. AI automation will maximize its benefits in the future. C. AI automation has made big progress and decreased costs. D. Al automation will benefit both workforce and policy makers. 【答案】8. D 9. B 10. D 11. A 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇新闻报道,文章主要讲述了在人工智能革命中,约 27% 的工作面临自动化的高风险,低到中等技能工作风险最大,还介绍了人工智能对就业的影响以及人们的担忧和应对建议。 【8题详解】 词句猜测题。根据第四段“The OECD also found that there is little evidence of negative employment effects for firms that adopt AI so far, and workers and employees report that AI can reduce tedious and dangerous tasks, which works are dreaming to get rid of (经合组织还发现,到目前为止,几乎没有证据表明采用人工智能的公司会对就业产生负面影响,工人和雇员报告称,人工智能可以减少那些他们梦寐以求想要摆脱的tedious且危险的任务)” 可知,“tedious” 与 “dangerous” 并列且是工人们想摆脱的。能与 “dangerous” 并列且符合工人想摆脱的任务特点的是 “令人厌烦的”,所以 “tedious” 意思是 “令人厌烦的”,故选D。 【9题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段“Rapid development and adoption mean that new skills will be needed and others will become old-fashioned, advising that governments encourage employers to provide more training, integrate AI skills into education and support diversity in the AI workforce(快速的发展和应用意味着将需要新的技能,而其他一些技能将过时,建议政府鼓励雇主提供更多培训,将人工智能技能融入教育,并支持人工智能劳动力的多样性)” 可知,为了跟上人工智能自动化的步伐,人们需要新技能,需要接受培训和教育。故选B。 【10题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段“Nevertheless, concerns about AI in the workforce continue to spread, with the survey last year finding that three in five workers are worried about losing their job to AI within the next decade. (然而,对劳动力中人工智能的担忧继续蔓延,去年的调查发现,五分之三的工人担心在未来十年内会被人工智能抢走工作)”可知,60% 的劳动力担心在十年内失业。故选D。 【11题详解】 主旨大意题。文章开篇 “Approximately 27% of jobs are at high risk of automation amid the artificial intelligence revolution, according to a news report(根据一份新闻报道,在人工智能革命中,大约 27% 的工作面临着自动化的高风险)” 表明了文章主题是人工智能革命中部分工作面临高风险。后文围绕人工智能对就业的影响展开,包括不同技能工作的风险、人们的担忧和应对措施等。所以文章主旨是人工智能自动化使一些工作处于高风险中,故选A。 D We’ve all been there: lying in bed wide awake and desperately wondering how to get to dreamland. While having trouble drifting off to sleep isn’t unusual, it still can be frustrating. Fortunately sleep experts are gaining an increasingly strong understanding of what’s happening in the brain during the process. Falling asleep is a big shift for your brain. This switch is governed in part by environmental cues, such as light or temperature. A hot summer night or a bright streetlamp beside the window can interfere (干扰). The process of nodding off can also be affected by your emotions. “You need to feel both physically and psychologically safe to sleep,” says Roxanne Prichard, a neuroscientist at the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. “If you are sleeping next to someone you don’t trust, if you’re worried that the newborn that you’re caring for might stop breathing, it’s going to be hard to fall asleep.” One of the recommendations to address insomnia is getting out of bed and sitting somewhere quietly with dull light and just relaxing, doing something boring. You could use the time to read, listen to calming music, or do breathing exercises — anything that slows and comforts your body and mind. But avoid snacking, exercise and screens. It’s also important to resist the urge to concentrate on your worries, especially in the middle of the night. Not only will those thoughts keep you awake, you also probably won’t make much progress on what’s keeping you up because your prefrontal cortex (前额叶皮质), a part of the brain that is good at planning and analysis, doesn’t function well for the poor blood supply at night. Keep it in mind that even if your night’s rest is incomplete, avoid the urge to make up for it by sleeping in or napping the next day. “If you nap during the day, especially longer naps, then your brain gets few signals of sleep and will be less likely to fall asleep quickly at bedtime,” says Prichard. If losing sleep interferes with your ability to function during the day, which could indicate something physiological is at play, seeing a doctor would be necessary. 12. Which of the following is most likely to cause trouble in sleep? A. A slow soft tune. B. A dull streetlamp. C. A cool summer night. D. A two-day-old baby. 13. Why is it hard to make much progress on the concerns in the middle of the night? A. The resistance may make people worried. B. The brain can’t plan and analyze problems. C. The prefrontal cortex works less efficiently. D. The problems may keep people awake. 14. What’s Prichard’s attitude towards naps in the day for night’s incomplete rest? A. Opposed. B. Ambiguous. C. Supportive. D. Neutral. 15. What’s the author’s purpose in writing this passage? A. To highlight the negative effects of sleep loss. B. To illustrate the process of falling asleep in the brain. C. To explain the causes of poor sleep and offer solutions. D. To discuss the importance of a good sleep environment. 【答案】12. D 13. C 14. A 15. C 【解析】 【导语】本文是说明文。文章讲述了睡眠专家对大脑的研究,解释导致睡眠不佳的原因并给出解决方案。 【12题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章中的““You need to feel both physically and psychologically safe to sleep,” says Roxanne Prichard, a neuroscientist at the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. “If you are sleeping next to someone you don’t trust, if you’re worried that the newborn that you’re caring for might stop breathing, it’s going to be hard to fall asleep.”(明尼苏达州圣托马斯大学的神经科学家罗克珊·普里查德说:“你需要在身体和心理上都感到安全才能睡觉。”“如果你睡在一个你不信任的人旁边,如果你担心你所照顾的新生儿可能会停止呼吸,那么你就很难入睡。”)”可知,照顾两天大的婴儿可能会因为担心而导致入睡困难。故选D。 【13题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段的 “Not only will those thoughts keep you awake, you also probably won’t make much progress on what’s keeping you up because your prefrontal cortex (前额叶皮质), a part of the brain that is good at planning and analysis, doesn’t function well for the poor blood supply at night.( 这些想法不仅会让你保持清醒,而且你可能也不会在让你保持清醒的事情上取得多大进展,因为你的前额叶皮质,大脑中擅长计划和分析的一部分,在夜间血液供应不足时不能很好地发挥作用。)”可知,夜间大脑的前额叶皮质由于血液供应不足,工作效率低,难以思考问题。故选C。 【14题详解】 推理判断题。根据““If you nap during the day, especially longer naps, then your brain gets few signals of sleep and will be less likely to fall asleep quickly at bedtime,” says Prichard.(普里查德说:“如果你在白天小睡,尤其是长时间的小睡,那么你的大脑就会收到很少的睡眠信号,在睡觉时就不太可能很快入睡。”)”可知,Prichard反对白天小睡因为这可能会导致晚上更不容易入睡。故选A。 【15题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第一段的“Fortunately sleep experts are gaining an increasingly strong understanding of what’s happening in the brain during the process.(幸运的是,睡眠专家对睡眠过程中大脑发生的事情有了越来越深入的了解。)”和最后一段的“Keep it in mind that even if your night’s rest is incomplete, avoid the urge to make up for it by sleeping in or napping the next day.(记住,即使你晚上没有得到充分的休息,也不要急于在第二天睡个懒觉或打个盹来弥补。)”并综合文章内容,文章旨在解释导致睡眠不佳的原因并给出解决方案。故选C。 第二节 七选五 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项多余选项。 New academicians take a group photo after the certificate awarding ceremony at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. ____16____ They aimed to make greater contributions to the development of the nation’s scientific research by encouraging the young generation and promoting the role of female scientists. She was too weak to go out at all, which was sad and disappointing. That was because Grandma and Grandpa had been planning to take my little sister Indi and me to the zoo for Valentine's Day. Grandma, as an animal lover, had been especially looking forward to it. On Valentine's Day Indi begged Grandma to go to the zoo together. But Grandma jokingly explained that if she went there, she might spread her cold to other visitors, or even to the animals, making them all start sneezing. In my mind, I imagined the sight that an elephant kept sneezing. Meanwhile I made my arm into a trunk and blurted out a funny trumpeting sound that ended in a gigantic sneeze. "Good one, Brother!" Indi laughed. "That elephant would need a huge box of tissues.” Grandma was amused. But she insisted that she should stay at home and rest up. She wished us a pleasant visit and reminded us to send her regards to the monkeys in the zoo. Well, we did go and we did have a great time but I kept wishing Grandma could have been there with us. When we reached the monkey mountain, Grandpa told us to hold still and say “cheese" and snapped a good picture of the monkeys and us. “Cheese!” I said. But Indi said, “Happy Valentine's Day, Grandma!” "You were supposed to say cheese." said Grandpa. Indi shrugged, “It just came out.” "I'm glad it did" I said, because your words just gave me a fantastic idea! What if we take pictures of different animals, and then turn them into a special Valentine gift for Grandma?" Indi and Grandpa agreed and we kept taking pictures with delight for Grandma's surprise. Paragraph 1: When we got home, we set about making the gift. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: Then we took the gift upstairs to Grandma’s room. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Paragraph 1: When we got home, we set about making the gift. At first, we printed the photos and planned to fill them on the heart cards. “But we have limited room!” complained Indi. So we agreed to make Grandma a Valentine zoo book. The book included various animals, each occupying a page. Indi was responsible for coloring the photos with markers while I made speech balloons coming out of animals’ mouths. For example, the monkeys said, “We go bananas with you.” Finally, we stuck the cards together to form a book with Grandpa’s help. It took forever to finish but it turned out great. Paragraph 2: Then we took the gift upstairs to Grandma’s room. “I bet she’d like it.” Grandpa said. Indi and I nodded with agreement. On entering the room, Indi rushed to present Grandma with our creation. When browsing the Valentine book, Grandma was deeply moved and happy tears blurred her eyes. “Oh, you little sweet potatoes!” Grandma smiled, “I love you.” It seemed that the love and devotion behind our gift had turned Grandma’s frown upside down. At that moment, it suddenly dawned on me that in terms of a gift, what matters much is not the gift but the care you show. 词汇激活 行为类 ①打印:print/mimeograph ②粘贴:stick/paste ③赠送:present/give away ④翻阅:browse/flip through 情绪类 ①感动的:moved/touched ②高兴的:happy/delighted 【点睛】[高分句型1]It seemed that the love and devotion behind our gift had turned Grandma’s frown upside down.(由连接词that引导的表语从句) [高分句型2]At that moment, it suddenly dawned on me that in terms of a gift, what matters much is not the gift but the care you show.(由连接词that引导的主语从句,what引导的主语从句及that引导的定语从句,省略了引导词that) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 定远育才学校2025-2026学年高三(上)1月月考试卷英语试题 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 听下面5段对话。 1. Where is the text most probably taken from? A. A research paper. B. A biology textbook. C. A travel brochure. D. A health magazine. “In dry places building solar forests seems far more effective in addressing the climate crisis. D. C Approximately 27% of jobs are at high risk of automation amid the artificial intelligence revolution, according to a news report. 8. A A slow soft tune. New academicians take a group photo after the certificate awarding ceremony at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Indi shrugged “It just came out.” "I'm glad it did" I said, because your words just gave me a fantastic idea! What if we take pictures of different animals, and then turn them into a special Valentine gift for Grandma?" Indi and Grandpa agreed and we kept taking pictures with delight for Grandma's surprise. 注意: 1、所续写短文的词数应为150左右; 2、续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好。 Paragraph 1: When we got home, we set about making the gift. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: Then we took the gift upstairs to Grandma’s room. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
