in our notebooks.After two weeks,we observed that the beans in sunlight grew 15 centimeters taller,
while the ones in the dark only grew 3 centimeters and had yellow leaves.
Using these results,we concluded that sunlight is essential for plant growth because it powers photo
synthesis-the process by which plants make food using sunlight,water,and carbon dioxide.During
the experiment,we learned the importance of controlled conditions:we had to ensure both groups re-
ceived the same amount of water and were kept at the same temperature.My lab partner and I took turns
watering the plants and recording data,which taught us that teamwork helps make experiments more
