Otedama (Japan) It is played alone with five small sandbags. The player kneels down behind the sandbags, throws one in the air, then uses the same hand to quickly pick up another bag and catch the first. Keep going until you’re holding all five. Too easy? Throw up all the bags and catch them on the back of your hand. Fengzheng (China) Fengzhengs or kites are believed to have been invented in China during the fifth century BC by Mozi and Lu Ban. By the fifth century AD, paper kites were being used for military purposes such as signaling and measuring distances. These days, locals commonly fly handmade kites to mark the arrival of spring. In Beijing, the kite string is traditionally cut to allow bad luck to be blown away by the wind. Topfschlagen (Germany) Germany is the world’s top exporter of chocolate, so no wonder this game is based on the sweet reward. Put some chocolate under an overturned cooking pot. Kids take turns crawling on the ground blindfolded and lightly strike whatever’s in their path with a wooden spoon. When the spoon hits the pot, the chocolate hunter gathers up the treasure. EI Gatoy El Raton (Costa Rica) It is a favorite group circle game for kids. One plays el gato (the cat); another is el raton (the mouse). The rest hold hands, forming a circle around the mouse. As the group skips and sings “the cat wants to get the mouse”, the cat runs outside the circle trying to touch the mouse. The players forming the circle raise and lower their arms to block the cat, and the mouse runs around to avoid being touched. When the cat “gets” the mouse, start over with a new cat and mouse. 21. Which game was once used for wars? A. Otedama. B. Fengzheng. C. Topfschlagen. D. EI Gatoy El Raton. 22. What is the reward for the Topfschlagen players? A. Kites. B. Beans. C. Meat. D. Chocolate. 23. What is special about El Gatoy El Raton? A. It requires at least four players in each round. B. It is related with a country’s top exported goods. C. It must be played by children and adults together. D. It started in the East and spread all around the world. B We sat at a riverside restaurant on the Willamette River, enjoying spaghetti and watching Christmas boats pass. “Isn’t this the best evening ever?” I said, grasping my husband’s hand. We seldom ate out, and the sight of the festive boats added a touch of magic. Smiling and chatting, we stretched the dinner out to nearly two hours, ending it with shared chocolate cake. I almost danced to get my coat — a black wool one given to me by my daughter. I reached for the only black coat on the rack (架子) and put it on. Wait, what? It reached below my ankle, not my knee. And I guessed it to be a size 16, not my 8. Blinking back tears, I left my number with the hostess, sure the mix-up would soon be corrected. But no call came that night, nor the next day. Heartick, I hung the too big coat in the closet, still waiting. Months later, another freezing night, my husband and I were getting ready to go to friends for dinner. I pulled the coat off its hanger, pursing my lips about my lost coat. “Wow” Penny, an old friend, exclaimed as soon as we walked in. “Very classic,” said Missy, the hostess. I arched am eyebrow. “You’re kidding. It’s four sizes too big.” I nearly launched into the whole story, but their words stopped me. For the first time I looked at the coat more carefully and noticed the fine label. I frowned. Did I need an attitude adjustment? What if I was positive instead of negative about my unplanned acquisition? Instead of complaining, I asked myself what I needed to do with this coat in order to enjoy it. I had it altered by a woman from church free of charge. The following week, the temperature dropped sharply. As I gathered this altered coat to step into the car, I recalled the coat my daughter gave me, but this one was nearly as warm — and, as Missy said, a classic. Now I wear it with pleasure. 24. What can be inferred about the author from the first two paragraphs? A. She valued the family time. B. She led a luxurious lifestyle. C. She performed a dance that day. D. She was dissatisfied at the service. 25. How did she feel when she found the coat mix-up? A. Angry and regretful. B. Calm and grateful. C. Depressed but hopeful. D. Confused but unconcerned. 26. What mainly led to her decision to have the coat adjusted? A. The advice from her friends. B. The reflection deep in her heart. C. The free service from a woman. D. The dramatic drop of temperature. 27. What does she intend to convey through the story? A. Don’t cry over spilt milk. B. Never judge a book by its cover. C. God helps those who help themselves. D. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. C There goes the proverb, “The early bird catches the worm.” It has been proven that early bird really does catch the worm, but he saves it for dinner. The Oxford University researchers believe the strategy allows them to stock up on food while it helps avoid falling the victims to predators (捕食者). A full belly in the morning would slow them down in the hunt for food and make them easy prey. So they search out food when they are lean and light and then dine in the evening to ensure they have a big enough store of fat to survive the night. The “early bird” strategy was revealed in an experiment in which over 2,000 birds were fitted with tiny radio tags which activated when they landed on feeders hidden in Wytham Woods, near Oxford. The feeders were moved around over the course of the day and the researchers noted when the birds landed on them. “Our results show these birds display very different patterns of food discovery in the morning and afternoon; very few new food sources were found during the afternoon, whereas nearly every new food source we put out during the morning was quickly discovered.” This revealed that the birds were much better at finding the feeders new locations in the morning. However, they waited until the evening to feast on the worms. The researchers said the complex strategy acts as an insurance policy, with birds remaining light yet still able to get enough fat to survive the night. It is particularly important in winter when the risks of predation are high and just one day without food can make the difference between life and death for small birds. 28. What does the underlined phrase “stock up on” in Paragraph 1 mean? A. store up. B. dispose of. C. throw away. D. eat and digest. 29. How did the researchers conduct the experiment? A. By comparing the data collected. B. By referring to the previous research papers. C. By conducting a random survey in the woods. D. By observing the birds’ habits of catching worms. 30. What can we learn from this passage? A. Birds have a better appetite in the morning. B. Birds prefer to hunt for food in the morning. C. Birds won’t hunt for food unless they are hungry. D. Birds hunt as frequently in the morning as in the afternoon. 31. Why do birds adopt a unique and complex eating habit? A. Because it can help them cope with food shortage. B. Because they do this for security reasons in a sense. C. Because they can’t eat up all the food they have caught. D. Because there are more worms available in the morning. D Walter Benjamin, the German philosopher, once noted that boredom was the “dream bird that hatches the egg of experience”. However, the creative flights of fancy which often arise from having little to do are being killed off by social media, researchers argued. Viewing mindlessly through attention-grabbing posts and videos prevents “profound (深层的) boredom” that can drive people on to new passions or skills. Instead, people find themselves in a state of “superficial boredom”, which does not motivate creative thought. Dr Timothy Hill, leader of the research team at the University of Bath, said, “The problem we observed was that social media can ease superficial boredom. But that also consumes time and energy, and may prevent people progressing to a state of profound boredom, where they might discover new passions. Profound boredom may sound like a negative concept but, in fact, it can be intensely positive if people are given the chance for undisturbed thinking and development. Researchers interviewed 15 people during the pandemic (流行病), when boredom was more likely because of restrictions. Many described being trapped in regularly daily walks and watching television, with many turning to social media to pass the time. But although the participants said that social media provided a temporary escape from superficial boredom, it also appeared to exacerbate it, leaving them feeling they had wasted their time. The pandemic was a painful and consuming experience for thousands of less fortunate people. But there are stories of those in lockdown who found new hobbies, careers or directions in life. Switching off devices could help people reach the state of boredom which pushes them on to new hobbies or achievements. This research has given us a window to understand how the “always-on”, 24/7 culture and devices that promise an abundance of information and entertainment may be fixing our superficial boredom but are actually preventing us from finding more meaningful things. 32. Why are Walter Benjamin’s words mentioned? A. To call for attention to the research on boredom. B. To comment on strategies to face loneliness. C. To offer suggestions on cultivating creative thinking. D. To clarify problems caused by social media. 33. Which of the following may Dr Timothy Hill agree with? A. Profound boredom is of value. B. Superficial boredom is unavoidable. C Social media should be restricted. D. Undisturbed thinking is hard to achieve. 34. What does the underlined word “exacerbate” in Paragraph 3 probably mean? A. Define. B. Relieve. C. Ignore. D. Worsen. 35. What is a suitable title for the text? A. Why people enjoy boredom. B. How boredom helps kill time. C. Why boredom might be good for you. D. How social media blocks creative ideas. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) The use of technology in sports is supposed to be able to provide accurate and instant feedback, with better decision-making and fewer errors than human intervention. ____36____ The annual tennis tournament, Wimbledon, made the decision this year to replace their line judges. They were switched out for AI that analyses camera footage, which should be faster and more accurate. Nevertheless, the electronic line calling system failed just a week into the 2025 championship. ____37____ This meant a point had to be replayed, which resulted in Sonay Kartal controversially winning the game. If technology needs humans to operate it in the first place, whose fault is it in situations like these where things go wrong? In football, VAR (video assistant referee) is also regularly used these days. A referee can ask for a VAR check, which means that if they are unsure of a decision, they can double-check their own judgement. However, last football season, VAR made oversights which angered a lot of managers, players and fans. ____38____ Despite this, before VAR, 82% of the decisions made were considered correct; now that figure is 96%. ____39____ Professor Gina Neff from Cambridge University says that we have a very strong, in-built sense of fairness. “The machine makes decisions based on the set of rules it’s been programmed to apply,” she said. “Right now, in many areas where AI is touching our lives, we feel like humans understand the context much better than the machine.” ____40____ A. But is that always the case? B. Patience is needed as the system matures. C. They said the system was not fit for purpose. D. Then who should carry the blame when mistakes happen? E. The ball-tracking technology was turned off by a person accidentally. F. So, why do we still not trust technology if it often improves a situation? G. Whether you trust it or not, technology is here to stay, including in sports. 第三部分 语言运用 (共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Using data collected from an online game, my colleagues and I could analyse how over 850,000 people learned to play. ___41___ For the first time it showed detailedly the shape of the learning curve, allowing us to test existing theories of learning, and suggesting some new ideas on the best ways to learn. Space your practice Our analysis showed people leaving longer gaps between practice attempts tend to score higher. In fact, the longer, the higher. Our finding confirms lots of other researches: if you are to study effectively, you should spread out your revision rather than cramming (临时抱佛脚). ___42___ But if you are organized enough, you can spend less time revising and remember more. ___43___ Our theory is that these people are exploring how the game works at the beginning, rather than trying to get the very highest score they can every time. The moral is clear: invest some time in trying things out, which may mean failing occasionally, if you want to maximize learning in the long run. Practise the thing you’ll be tested on ___44___ If your exam involves writing, you need to practise essay-writing. Just memorizing the material is not enough. Playing an online game is a skill, so is writing exam answers. You have to practise making them so that you can better master them. Structure information rather than remembering it Trying to remember has almost no effect on whether you do remember it at all. The implication for revision is clear. ___45___ Instead, you need to reorganize the information in the approach called depth of processing — a useful way to ensure material gets rooted in your memory, such as thinking about how what you’re reading relates to other material, or practising writing answers, etc. A. This is easier said than done. B. Make sure you fail occasionally. C. Balance revision with leisure time. D. Just looking at your notes won’t help you learn them. E. The resulting scientific paper has just been published in Psychology. F. The big mistake many students make is not practising what they will be tested on. G. Practising scanning information is one of the best ways to ensure you remember it. 第三部分 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Passing through the Atlanta airport one morning, I caught one of those trains that take travelers to their boarding gates. Our mother Clare was the heart of our family. She was the type of mom who always put our needs first, sacrificing her own desires for our happiness. Growing up, we established a beautiful tradition that each year, we would surprise her with a special gift to show our gratitude and love. This year, Oscar came up with a brilliant idea: “What if we made her a long and beautiful dress?” she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. As I recalled, since the day we were born, Mom hadn’t bought herself a beautiful new dress, so I knew we had to make this year’s surprise truly special. With that thought in mind, we set to work. I grabbed my drawing book and began to design, my pencil dancing across the page; while Oscar with her perfect sense of measurement and love for sewing. she got down to handling the cloth. Her eyes shone with concentration, while I focused on the beautiful patterns on the dress. Soon, the dress began to take shape — it was such a magnificent long dress, and we carefully wrapped it in gift paper. But then came the question: where to hide it for the surprise to be revealed at dinner? We put our heads together, brainstorming the perfect hiding spot. “Nobody would think to look in my bedroom closet.” I suggested Oscar giggled, nodding in agreement, but we both neglected the fact that our two playful cats could be a problem. Finally, the moment arrived. After dessert, I exchanged a knowing look with Oscar. It was time to unveil our creation! We dashed to our bedroom together, my heart pounding in my chest as I flung open the closet door. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150个左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 “NO” I yelled, seeing our cats dashed out of the closet. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ “Where did you get such a beautiful scarf?” Mom asked. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2026年高二英语12月月考 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共 5 小题;每小题 1.5 分,满分 7.5 分) 听下面 5 段对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的 A、B、C 三个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有 10 秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题,每段对话读两遍。 1. 【此处可播放相关音频,请去附件查看】 What will the family do this year? M: I did a degree in film photography, and then worked as a television cameraman on wildlife programs. Soon, people knew me as someone who could do difficult things. After traveling around the world for ten years, I felt working in films wasn’t a stable choice. I was so tired of all the travel. Luckily, the flexible work schedule enabled me to think of starting something new. But actually, it all started in the 1990s when I worked as an instructor in a gym, which helped sports companies develop products. W: How would you describe yourself? M: People aren’t satisfied with me as I always rush in without thinking things through. I’m not afraid to make mistakes, although I hope to make fewer. Basically, I’m excited by ideas and I can’t wait to put them into action. W: What challenges do you think lie ahead? M: In the last few years, many health clubs struggled to keep members. But it’s less of a problem. Now, we’ll focus on how we stand out as everybody targets the same markets. To this end, we’ll offer a wide range of activities and try to educate people during these activities. 听下面一段独白,回答以下小题。【此处可播放相关音频,请去附件查看】 18. In which aspect do people feel threatened by Spot? A. Job opportunities. B. Privacy C. Property safety. 19. What did the New York Police Department do to Spot? A. They got it charged. B. They painted it green. C. They changed its name. 20. What is Kim’s attitude toward police robots being used in public? A. Disapproving B. Carefree. C. Supportive. 【答案】18. B 19. C 20. A 【解析】 【原文】Hello. Everyone. Today I want to introduce a robotic police dog, which is called Spot and is being used to perform some tasks in Honolulu and record through its built-in camera. The robot Spot can move in an animal-like manner and walk over almost anything a person can. But some people criticized that the robot may become a danger to their privacy. Instead, they are less concerned about the risks it brings to job hunting and property. The supervisor of the Honolulu Police Department said it helped a lot. The New York Police Department also started using Spot after painting it blue and renaming it “Digidog”. There are about 500 Spot robots in use. Kim Smith, a legal director of a big company, said Spot robots are used by companies to inspect areas with dangerous levels of electricity and also used in building sites, mines and factories. Kim said that there might be some good uses for such machines, but opening the door for police robots to work with the public is unwise. 第二部分 阅读 (共两节,满分50分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分) 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 A Let’s play games from different countries and learn about different cultures. 【答案】21. B 22. D 23. A 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇应用文。文章主要介绍了来自不同国家的四个传统游戏。 【21题详解】 细节理解题。根据 Fengzheng (China)一节中“By the fifth century AD, paper kites were being used for military purposes such as signaling and measuring distances.(到公元5世纪,纸风筝被用于军事目的,如发送信号和测量距离。)”可知Fengzheng曾被用于战争。故选B。 【22题详解】 细节理解题。根据 Topfschlagen (Germany)一节中“Germany is the world’s top exporter of chocolate, so no wonder this game is based on the sweet reward.(德国是世界上最大的巧克力出口国,难怪这个游戏是基于甜蜜的奖励。)”可知Topfschlagen选手的奖励是巧克力。故选D。 【23题详解】 推理判断题。对比其他三个游戏, 尤其根据 EI Gatoy EI Raton(Costa Rica)一节中“It is a favorite group circle game for kids.(这是孩子们最喜欢的一种小组游戏。)”及其细节可推断, “猫捉老鼠游戏”必须要有四个及以上的人一起玩。故选A。 B We sat at a riverside restaurant on the Willamette River, enjoying spaghetti and watching Christmas boats pass. Wait what? A Angry and regretful. 【答案】24. A 25. C 26. B 27. D 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇记叙文。作者讲述了自己在餐厅误拿大衣后作者想办法应对的故事,传递出积极面对意外的生活态度。 【24题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段中的“We seldom ate out, and the sight of the festive boats added a touch of magic.(我们很少外出就餐,节日船只的景象更增添了一丝魔力。)”以及第二段中的“Smiling and chatting, we stretched the dinner out to nearly two hours, ending it with shared chocolate cake.(我们边笑边聊,把晚餐延长到了将近两个小时,最后还一起分享了巧克力蛋糕。)”可知,作者和丈夫很少外出就餐,却愿意花时间享受这顿晚餐,珍惜相处时光,由此可推断她重视家庭时光,故选A。 【25题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段中的“Blinking back tears, I left my number with the hostess, sure the mix-up would soon be corrected.(我强忍着泪水,把电话号码留给了女服务员,确信这个误会很快就会解决。) 以及 “HeartSick, I hung the too big coat in the closet, still waiting.(我心里很难过,把那件太大的大衣挂在衣柜里,依然在等待。)”可知,作者发现拿错大衣时,强忍泪水(难过沮丧),但又留下电话等待解决(抱有希望),因此她的感受是沮丧但抱有希望,故选C。 【26题详解】 细节理解题。根据倒数第二段中的“Did I need an attitude adjustment? What if I was positive instead of negative about my unplanned acquisition?(我需要调整心态吗?如果我对这件意外得到的东西持积极态度,而不是消极态度,会怎么样呢?)”以及最后一段中的“Instead of complaining, I asked myself what I needed to do with this coat in order to enjoy it. I had it altered by a woman from church free of charge.(我没有抱怨,而是问自己需要做些什么才能喜欢上这件大衣。我请教堂的一位女士免费修改了它。)” 可知,是作者内心的反思(调整心态、积极面对)促使她决定修改大衣,故选B。 【27题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第三段中的“HeartSick, I hung the too big coat in the closet, still waiting. (我心里很难过,把那件太大的大衣挂在衣柜里,依然在等待。)”,倒数第二段中的“Did I need an attitude adjustment? What if I was positive instead of negative about my unplanned acquisition?(我需要调整心态吗?如果我对这件意外得到的东西持积极态度,而不是消极态度,会怎么样呢?)”以及最后一段中的““Instead of complaining, I asked myself what I needed to do with this coat in order to enjoy it. I had it altered by a woman from church free of charge.(我没有抱怨,而是问自己需要做些什么才能喜欢上这件大衣。我请教堂的一位女士免费修改了它。)”并浏览全文可知,作者误拿不合身的大衣后,从最初的失落,到反思后转变心态,将大衣修改后愉快穿着,体现了“把意外的不如意转化为积极结果”的态度。选项D“当生活给你柠檬时,就做柠檬水(意为:积极面对困境,化不利为有利)” 是作者通过这个故事想要向我们传达的信息。故选D。 C There goes the proverb, “The early bird catches the worm.” It has been proven that early bird really does catch the worm, but he saves it for dinner. 【答案】28. A 29. D 30. B 31. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是说明文。文章主要介绍了牛津大学科技工作者通过观察鸟早晚觅食的差异验证了“早起的鸟有虫吃”这句谚语的科学性问题。 【28题详解】 词句猜测题。根据文章倒数第二段最后一句“So they search out food when they are lean and light and then dine in the evening to ensure they have a big enough store of fat to survive the night.(因此,它们在精瘦的时候寻找食物,然后在晚上进食,以确保它们有足够的脂肪储备来度过夜晚)”可知,鸟在早上觅食直到晚上才大快朵颐,由此可知,它们把找到的食物先先储存起来。A. store up储存;B. dispose of 处理,解决;C. throw away浪费,抛弃;D. eat and digest吃并消化。故选A项。 【29题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三的“The “early bird” strategy was revealed in an experiment in which over 2,000 birds were fitted with tiny radio tags which activated when they landed on feeders hidden in Wytham Woods, near Oxford. (“早起鸟”策略是在一项实验中发现的。在该实验中,2000多只鸟被安装了微型无线电标签,当它们降落在牛津附近的Wytham Woods的喂食器上时,这些标签就会激活)”和第四段的“Our results show these birds display very different patterns of food discovery in the morning and afternoon; very few new food sources were found during the afternoon, whereas nearly every new food source we put out during the morning was quickly discovered(我们的研究结果表明,这些鸟类在早上和下午发现食物的模式非常不同;在下午很少有新的食物来源被发现,而几乎每一个新的食物来源我们在上午被发现很快)”可知,研究人员通过观察鸟抓虫子的习性来进行实验。故选 D项。 【30题详解】 推理判断题。根据倒数第二段内容“very few new food sources were found during the afternoon, whereas nearly every new food source we put out during the morning was quickly discovered(在下午很少有新的食物来源被发现,而在早上几乎每一个我们投放的新的食物来源很快被发现)”推知,鸟儿更喜欢在早上觅食。故选B项。 【31题详解】 细节理解题。根据文章第一段最后一句“The Oxford University researchers believe the strategy allows them to stock up on food while it helps avoid falling the victims to predators (捕食者). (牛津大学的研究人员认为,这种策略可以让它们囤积食物,同时有助于避免落入捕食者之手)”和最后一段“The researchers said the complex strategy acts as an insurance policy(研究人员表示,这种复杂的策略就像一种保险策略)”可知,某种程度上出于安全考虑,鸟儿利用早上体态轻盈觅食而晚上进食,避免成为被猎食者。故选B项。 D Walter Benjamin, the German philosopher, once noted that boredom was the “dream bird that hatches the egg of experience”. C. Social media should be restricted. 【答案】32. A 33. A 34. D 35. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。主要介绍了研究发现社交媒体虽能缓解表面无聊,却会阻碍能激发创造力与新热情的深层无聊,而深层无聊对个人发展具有积极意义。 【32题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段“Walter Benjamin, the German philosopher, once noted that boredom was the “dream bird that hatches the egg of experience”. However, the creative flights of fancy which often arise from having little to do are being killed off by social media, researchers argued. (德国哲学家瓦尔特·本雅明曾指出,无聊是“梦之飞鸟,孵化经验之蛋”。然而,研究人员认为,社交媒体正在扼杀那些经常因无所事事而产生的创造性幻想)”可知,引用其言论是为了引出关于无聊的研究,引起人们对无聊这一话题及相关研究的关注,而不是评论面对孤独的策略、提供培养创造性思维的建议或阐明社交媒体导致的问题。故选A项。 【33题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段“Profound boredom may sound like a negative concept but, in fact, it can be intensely positive if people are given the chance for undisturbed thinking and development.(深层无聊听起来可能是个负面概念,但事实上,如果人们有机会进行不受干扰的思考和发展,它可以是极具积极意义的)”可知,蒂莫西・希尔博士认为深层的无聊如果能给人们不受干扰的思考和发展机会,是有很大价值的。故选A项。 【34题详解】 词句猜测题。根据第三段“But although the participants said that social media provided a temporary escape from superficial boredom, it also appeared to exacerbate it, leaving them feeling they had wasted their time.(但尽管参与者表示,社交媒体能暂时摆脱表面无聊,可它似乎还会exacerbate这种无聊,让他们觉得自己浪费了时间)”可知,前文提到参与者认为社交媒体能暂时摆脱肤浅的无聊,但“but”表示转折,说明社交媒体也会让情况变得更糟,即加剧了无聊,使他们觉得浪费了时间,所以exacerbate的意思是“使恶化,加剧”,与worsen意思相近。故选D项。 【35题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第一段“Walter Benjamin, the German philosopher, once noted that boredom was the “dream bird that hatches the egg of experience”. However, the creative flights of fancy which often arise from having little to do are being killed off by social media, researchers argued. Viewing mindlessly through attention-grabbing posts and videos prevents “profound (深层的) boredom” that can drive people on to new passions or skills.(德国哲学家瓦尔特·本雅明曾指出,无聊是“梦之飞鸟,孵化经验之蛋”。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) The use of technology in sports is supposed to be able to provide accurate and instant feedback, with better decision-making and fewer errors than human intervention. 【答案】36. A 37. E 38. C 39. F 40. G 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇议论文。文章围绕科技在体育领域的应用展开,主要介绍了科技的弊端,讨论科技出错时的责任归属问题。 【36题详解】 上文“The use of technology in sports is supposed to be able to provide accurate and instant feedback, with better decision-making and fewer errors than human intervention. (体育领域对科技的运用本应能提供精准且即时的反馈,相比人工干预,决策更优、失误更少。)”提出科技在体育中应更优的观点,而下文介绍了温网AI司线系统故障、以及足球VAR技术的弊端。因此A项“但是情况总是如此吗?”符合语境,引出下文。故选A。 【37题详解】 上文“Nevertheless, the electronic line calling system failed just a week into the 2025 championship. (然而,在 2025 年锦标赛开赛仅一周后,电子司线系统就出现了故障。)”提及系统故障,由此推测,空出需补充故障的具体原因。E项”球追踪技术被一个人意外关闭了。”承接上文。故选E。 【38题详解】 上文“However, last football season, VAR made oversights which angered a lot of managers, players and fans. (然而,上个足球赛季,VAR的疏忽激怒了很多教练、球员和球迷。)”指出上个赛季VAR失误引发不满,由此可知,这个系统没有达到预期目的。空处需补充人们对VAR系统的负面评价,以完整呈现VAR的争议性。C项“他们表示该系统不符合使用需求。”符合语境。故选C。 【39题详解】 下文“Professor Gina Neff from Cambridge University says that we have a very strong, in-built sense of fairness. “The machine makes decisions based on the set of rules it’s been programmed to apply,” she said. (剑桥大学的Gina Neff教授表示,人类天生就拥有强烈的公平感。“机器做出决策,依据的是为其编程设定的那套规则,” 她说道。)”陈述了人们不相信科技的原因。由此推测,空处可能提出“人们为什么不相信科技”这个疑问。F项“既然科技往往能改善现状,那我们为什么仍然不信任它呢?”符合推测,引出下文内容。故选F。 【40题详解】 空处位于文末,应是总结性语句。上文“Right now, in many areas where AI is touching our lives, we feel like humans understand the context much better than the machine. Using data collected from an online game, my colleagues and I could analyse how over 850,000 people learned to play. 【答案】41. E 42. A 43. B 44. F 45. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章讲述的是作者和同事通过网络游戏收集来的数据,对逾 850000 位游戏玩家练就游戏技巧进行分析,进而检测现行学习理论和提出新的可行学习方法。 【41题详解】 根据空后“For the first time it showed detailedly the shape of the learning curve, allowing us to test existing theories of learning, and suggesting some new ideas on the best ways to learn. (它第一次详细地展示了学习曲线的形状,使我们能够测试现有的学习理论,并提出一些关于最佳学习方式的新想法)”可知,此处讲述的研究成果的重大意义,指示代词 it 指代的是研究成果。由此可知,空处应讲述研究成果,选项E.“最终的科学论文刚刚发表在《心理学》杂志上。”符合语境。故选E。 【42题详解】 前文“Our analysis showed people leaving longer gaps between practice attempts tend to score higher. In fact, the longer, the higher. Our finding confirms lots of other researches: if you are to study effectively, you should spread out your revision rather than cramming (临时抱佛脚). (我们的分析显示,人们在练习之间留下的间隔越长,得分就越高。事实上,间隔越长,得分就越高。我们的发现证实了许多其他的研究:如果你想有效地学习,你应该分散你的复习而不是临时抱佛脚)”提出了有效学习的方法是分散学习而不是临时抱佛脚,所以空后应承接前文讲述这条建议对于学生意味着什么。由此可知,选项A.“说起来容易做起来难。”符合语境。代词this指代前文讲述的方法。故选A。 【43题详解】 根据下文“The moral is clear: invest some time in trying things out, which may mean failing occasionally, if you want to maximize learning in the long run. (道理很清楚:如果你想从长远来看最大化学习,投入一些时间尝试一些事情,这可能意味着偶尔会失败)”可知,投入一些时间尝试一些事情,可能意味着偶尔的失败,但从长远看这是最大化的学校。作为段落标题,应该着重论述偶尔失败是可行的。由此可知,选项B.“确保你偶尔失败。”符合语境。故选B。 【44题详解】 根据本段标题“Practise the thing you’ll be tested on(练习你要测试的东西)”可知,本段讲述要对测试的内容进行练习。选项F.“许多学生犯的最大错误就是没有练习他们将要接受考试的内容。”提到了多数学生的错误在于不练习他们测试的内容,肯定了练习对于测试的意义,与段落标题一致,符合语境。故选F。 【45题详解】 根据本段标题“Structure information rather than remembering it(构造信息而不是记住它)”可知,本段讲述组织加工信息。空后“Instead, you need to reorganize the information in the approach called depth of processing — a useful way to ensure material gets rooted in your memory, such as thinking about how what you’re reading relates to other material, or practising writing answers, etc. Passing through the Atlanta airport one morning, I caught one of those trains that take travelers to their boarding gates. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 “NO!” I yelled, seeing our cats dashed out of the closet. My eyes widened in horror as I saw the gift-wrapped dress on the floor, torn and tattered. Oscar’s face paled as we both stared at the ruined surprise. Tears welled up in my eyes. How could this have happened? But there was no time to wallow in disappointment. We had to think fast. “Where did you get such a beautiful scarf?” Mom asked. I looked at Oscar, panic-stricken. Then, on the spur of the moment, I grabbed the torn pieces of fabric and held them up. “Mom, this was supposed to be a dress for you. We made it with all our love. But the cats got to it.” Mom’s eyes filled with emotion. She took the pieces from me and hugged us both. “This is the most beautiful ‘scarf’ I’ve ever seen. It’s filled with your love and that’s all that matters.” 词汇激活 行为类 ①看到:see/witness ②.发生:happen/take place ③.抓住:grab/capture 情绪类 ①.失望地:in disappointment/in despair ②.充满了情感:be filled with emotion/be full of emotion 【点睛】 [高分句型1]. Instead, they are less concerned about the risk IT brings to job hunting and property safety. The supervisor of the honor luu police department said. IT helped a lot. The new york police department also started using spot after painting IT blue and renaming a digital. There are about five hundred ds spot robots in use, kim smith, a legal director of a big company, said.
