三、阅读理解
A
Today, the rise of AI-generated art has launched an interesting and complex discussion about creativity and the heart of art. The arrival of tools like DALL·E, which give individuals the ability to create images from text-based instructions, is enabling those without traditional artistic training to explore their creative urges. However, this ease of access and creation has raised concerns about the devaluation (贬值) of artistic skills.
AI-generated art has made the creative process less complicated. It has opened doors for individuals who, though lacking formal artistic training, possess a deep appreciation of beauty and creativity. This has led to a boom in diverse and imaginative expressions, overcoming traditional barriers to artistic creation.
However, critical people argue that AI-generated art lacks the internal value of traditional art, which is deeply integrated with the artist’s personal journey, skills, and emotional investment. This perceived decrease in artistic quality has raised worries about the “lost art of art”. Images are generated with little sense of design — only the lifeless digital recommendations.
The true fundamental nature of art lies not in the medium but in the human experience and perspective that shape it. Despite its complex programming, AI lacks the capacity for emotional depth, context, and the nuanced (微妙的) understanding that human artists bring to their work. Therefore, the role of the human artist and audience remains central, even in an AI-dominated landscape.
As AI-generated art continues to develop, becoming increasingly complex and nuanced, it is ready to act as a promoter for human creativity. The rapidly improving quality of AI-generated art is not just a technological miracle (奇迹) but a creative motivation that pushes human artists to explore a new frontier of imagination. Artists are now challenged to dig deeper into their creative reserves, integrating AI’s abilities to enhance their work to astonishing levels.
This dynamic interaction is creating a rich soil for innovation, where the boundaries of human creativity are constantly being redefined. The future of art, therefore, is not an either-or choice between human and AI, but a collaborative journey where each pushes the other toward new heights of creativity.
26.What can people do with DALL·E?
A.Develop artistic imagination.
B.Provide suggestions about artists’ works.
C.Recommend art courses based on demand.
D.Generate artworks based on text description.
27.Which is the disadvantage of AI-generated art compared to traditional art?
A.It has fewer ways to express. B.It restricts people’s creativity.
C.It lacks emotional connection. D.It requires a high level of skills.
28.What is the author’s attitude toward AI-generated art?
A.Critical. B.Objective. C.Supportive. D.Unclear.
29.What is the best title for the text?
A.The Nature of Art
B.Stimulating Creativity in Art
C.The Development of AI-Generated Art
D.Discussion about AI-Generated Art
七选五
Older people who are particularly at risk of Alzheimer’s (阿尔茨海默病) disease could slow their cognitive (认知) decline by taking just 3,000 steps a day. 30 However, it could be linked to the impact of regular exercise on inflammation (炎症) or blood flow to the brain. Previous studies that link regular exercise to reduced cognitive decline have mostly relied on people recalling their activity levels but have rarely explored why staying active may have this effect.
To address such limitations, Wai-Ying Wendy Yau at Harvard University and her co-workers analysed the physical activity of 296 cognitively healthy people, who wore step-tracking devices for one week to objectively measure their activity levels. 31 Most of the participants had their brain imaged to reveal their baseline levels of misfolded proteins called tau (tau蛋白) and beta-amyloid, gathering of which is thought to cause Alzheimer’s. The participants also completed annual cognitive tests that assessed things like their memory and how quickly they processed information. 32 They found that, among the participants with above-average levels of misfolded beta-amyloid in their brain at the start, taking between 3,000 and 5,000 steps per day seemed to greatly slow the build-up of misfolded tau, but not beta-amyloid.
“ 33 This activity level showed 54% slower cognitive decline than inactivity,” says Yau.
The researchers didn’t explore exactly how regular exercise may have these effects, but it could be due to physical activity reducing inflammation. 34
A.What was the result?
B.A simple walk can fight diseases.
C.The tests were not easy to complete.
D.These people were aged between 50 and 90.
E.Exercise may also boost blood flow to the brain.
F.Why this step count might have this effect is unclear.
G.Walking 5,000 to 7,500 steps daily further reduces tau build-up.
