Q: What do you usually do with a plastic bottle after drinking?
Let’s follow the story of a plastic bottle and think about its journey.

1.Where do plastic bottles go after we throw them away?
2.What problems do plastic bottles cause for the environment?
First, they go into trash cans. Then garbage trucks take them to landfills. Some may end up in oceans or streets if not recycled.
They pollute oceans (harm sea animals like turtles), take hundreds of years to break down, and release toxic chemicals when burned.

Activity: Rewriting the Fate of the Plastic Bottle
活动 :塑料瓶 “命运改写” (小组合作 + 剧本创作表演)
一、活动目标
结合课文情节进行创意改编,思考环保实际行动,锻炼团队协作、英语剧本创作和对话表达能力
二、操作流程
分组:4-5 人一组,每组抽取 1 个命运转折点(课文中塑料瓶被扔垃圾桶后的不同走向
转折点 1:女主人的孩子看到后,提醒妈妈把塑料瓶放进回收箱
转折点 2:垃圾清运工发现瓶子很干净,带回家做成了小花瓶
转折点 3:瓶子被风吹到路边,被环保小志愿者捡到并送去回收厂
剧本创作:小组 10 分钟完成 2-3 分钟短剧剧本,要求包含角色对话(英语)、简单动作提示,体现环保主题,可还原课文部分情节 + 原创转折内容
表演投票:每组上台表演,全班投票选出「最有创意绿色结局」「最佳英语表达小组」
