B Leaving our hostel in the centre of Phnom Penh, we climb inside our small Tuk Tuk cabin attached to the back of Kivi’s motorbike; a bottle of water in one hand and a sunflower mask in the other we set off on our 45-minute commute. It is a familiar start to the day as we meet two other volunteers. We are setting out to work in an orphanage just outside Cambodia’s capital city. The morning rush hour in Phnom Penh is crowded and chaotic. Kivi directs our path between the trucks, 4×4 Lexus and countless motorbikes, which often carry entire families. We reach the dusty highway, having put on substandard masks earlier to protect our ears and lungs. A maze of concrete buildings and huts exist along the side of the road among a sea of rubbish. The residents often smile and wave as we pass by. We turn onto a farm track. The last part of our journey is a roller coaster, jumping out of potholes (坑洼)and turning to avoid falling off the sinking road. We pass huts on stilts (木桩), skinny cows and farm yards where children jump and scream upon seeing us. The stream along the side of the road is almost bone dry and plants are rarely seen across the fields. Finally we arrive at our destination: the oasis (绿洲) is Samong Farm. By the gates, a group of 10-year-old children are having a marble competition. We’re greeted by the shouts of “Cha, cha (short for ‘teacher’)!” from several other kids gathering round. As we climb out of our vehicle, the sun is already hot and the oasis is as dry as the fields surrounding it. In such conditions you would imagine life to be hard, but you wouldn’t know it to see the warm smiles and hear the laughter of the residents at Samong Orphanage. Compared to children in the Western world, they have little and yet they give so much in generosity of spirit and enthusiasm for every day. Despite the journey, it is so good to arrive and work in the morning. 24. Where was the author going? A. To Samong Orphanage. B. To a maze of concrete buildings. C. To the capital of Cambodia. D. To the centre of Phnom Penh. 25. What word can be used to describe Kivi? A. Disciplined. B. Skillful. C. Devoted. D. Ambitious. 26. What can be inferred from Paragraphs 3 and 4? A. Samong farm is a wealthy and developed rural area. B. It has rich water resources and thick plants along the road. C. The local children are curious and friendly to strangers. D. The road to the orphanage is smooth and easy to travel. 27. What can we learn from the story? A. Enthusiasm from the children. B. Comfort of riding a motorbike. C. Beauty of working in the morning. D. Pleasure of being part of a new culture. C The ongoing climate change is ready to have serious and lasting consequences for plants across the globe. A research conducted by Liverpool John Moores University, UK is primarily focused on exploring how the nutritional content of food crops may be affected by the interacting effects of rising CO2 levels and increasing temperatures associated with climate change. The research is focused on popular leafy vegetables, including kale, rocket and spinach. For this project, these crops are grown in environment-controlled growth rooms at Liverpool John Moores University, and the CO2 and temperature levels are changed to look like the UK’s predicted future climate conditions. After the plants have been grown under climate change conditions, their nutritional quality was analyzed. Early results from this project suggest that raised levels of atmospheric CO2 can help crops grow faster and bigger, but certainly not healthier. After some time, the crops showed a reduction in key minerals like Ca and certain antioxidant compounds These changes were worsened by rising temperatures. A key early finding is that different crops have responded differently to these climate change stressors, with some species reacting more intensely than others. “This diversity in response highlights that we can’t generalize across crop species. This complexity has been both fascinating and challenging and reminds us why it’s important to study multiple stressors together,” says Jiata Ugwah Ekele, a PhD student at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. This nutritional imbalance poses serious health implications for humanity. While higher CO2 levels can increase the concentration of sugars in crops, it can decrease essential proteins, minerals and antioxidants. “This changed balance could contribute to diets that are higher in calories but poorer in nutritional value,” says Ms. Ekele. “Increased sugar content in crops, especially fruits and vegetables, could lead to greater risks of extreme overweight and type 2 diabetes — particularly in populations already struggling with these diseases.” 28. What is the focus of the study? A. Future climate conditions in the UK. B. New types of leafy vegetables in the UK. C. The way to grow crops faster in greenhouses. D. Climate change and its impact on crop nutrition. 29. What was the condition of the crops grown for this research project? A. Thinner air. B. Controlled water. C. Higher CO2 level. D. Lower temperature. 30. How does Ms. Ekele sound in the last paragraph? A. Annoyed. B. Concerned. C. Satisfied. D. Confident. 31. What can be a suitable title for the text? A. Bigger crops, fewer nutrients B. Faster growth, richer minerals C. Warmer climate, balanced crops D. Higher CO2, healthier vegetables D Mariah Carey is best known for her love songs, but this week she expressed her distinct hate for a particular enemy: overhead lighting. She jokingly said she was “bothered by the ugly lighting in every elevator, doorway, gym.…Shut the lights. Turn them out. I don’t want to see them.” Mariah Carey’s words struck a chord. David Warfel, founding designer at Light Can Help You, agrees with Carey. “Overhead lighting is a curse (诅咒) that most of us live under,” says Warfel, who is based in Madison, Wisconsin. “Nothing makes me angrier than overhead lighting,” said Drew Barrymore, a cheerful actress. There are good reasons that bright light from above can ruin the mood or make someone feel ill at ease. However, the phrase “overhead lighting” has become a catch-all for many types of lighting people don’t like: recessed (嵌入式的) lights, boob lights, LED wafer lights and whatever other ceiling fixtures are on the outs. Still, designers warn not to completely reject all ceiling-mounted lights. When placed and directed correctly, overhead fixtures can create light that bounces off the walls and ceilings before hitting your eyes, resulting in a soft and comfortable light. The reason why people don’t like the big light is easy to understand: lights directly above us make shadows and shine too brightly. Also, the light from above usually hits the parts of our eyes that are sensitive to glare (眩光). So why are the big light and its type so common? Part of it has to do with maximizing profit, says Dave Konstantin, founder of Konstantin Lighting Design. And the fact is that often, no one with specific knowledge about lighting design consults on projects. “I’ve gone into multimillion dollar homes that are brand new, just built,” he says. “And the builder has just put very cheap recessed lights throughout the entire house. Many people don’t notice or care about poor lighting.” 32. Why does the author mention Mariah Carey in paragraph 1? A. To introduce the topic of the text. B. To praise her love songs. C. To offer some background information. D. To show her sense of humor. 33. What do the underlined words “struck a chord” in paragraph 2 mean? A Caused strong responses. B. Were ignored by people. C. Brought a physical pain. D. Started a musical trend. 34. Why did the author write the fourth paragraph? A. To claim overhead lighting is always terrible. B. To show people’s dislike for all ceiling lights. C. To prove overhead lighting should never be used. D. To explain proper overhead lighting can be good. 35. What is Dave Konstantin’s attitude to the common use of poor lighting? A. Critical. B. Indifferent. C. Supportive. D. Dismissive. Every year, the international education company Education First (EF) ranks countries based on their English skills. Since 2011, when the first survey was done, Scandinavians (斯堪的那维亚人) — people from Norway, Sweden and Denmark — have ranked among the top five countries. ____36____ But it’s also because of the way English is taught in their schools, their use of English media, and because they see English as a valuable professional skill. Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are North Germanic languages. ____37____ English is one of these West Germanic languages. Some researchers even think English might be a Scandinavian language. That would explain something. ____38____ But that’s only part of the reason that many Scandinavians are fluent in English. ____39____ For example many Norwegian TV shows are in English — and they don’t use subtitles — and most of the top songs in Denmark are by American musicians. Scandinavians know English skills matter for work and travel. Timetric did a survey. It showed most Scandinavians take one or more international trips a year. That’s more than in most countries. ____40____ They go to English-speaking schools. English is now the world’s most commonly spoken language, with nearly 390 million native speakers and almost twice as many non-native speakers. A. One factor is their strong emphasis on education. B. For example, English and Swedish share over 1,500 words. C. It’s also common for Scandinavian college students to study abroad. D. They split from West Germanic languages less than 1,800 years ago. E. Such international exposure often begins with student exchange programs. F. Scandinavian children are surrounded by English media from a very young age. G. This is partly because of their location and shared linguistic history with English. Former Olympic cyclist Mia Carter shares a heartfelt story of a 12-year-old boy named Leo who dreamed of joining the town’s cycling club. Years later, at 28, she welcomed Mia joyfully. Tragically, during that pregnancy, her husband Peter died in a plane crash. Seeing Mia as a final link to her husband Peter, Robyn cherished her deeply. Ella, thrilled to be a big sister, bonded closely with Mia during childhood — they shared toys, studied together, and walked home side by side. But things changed as they grew older. Ella dreamed of fashion design, though Robyn regarded it as impractical. Determined, Ella moved to New York at 19 to study fashion while working part-time. Meanwhile, Mia stayed home and grew increasingly dependent on their mother. Robyn worked tirelessly to support her, which secretly made Ella jealous, but she never let that distance herself from Mia. Tragedy struck again when Robyn was killed by a drunk driver. At the funeral, Ella was overwhelmed by sadness. However, her grief turned to shock and anger upon reading the will: Mia inherited their family home, while Ella received only an old baby stroller and a dirty doll. Feeling deeply hurt, Ella confronted Mia. “Are you happy now? Mom gave you everything while she was alive, and now in death too! Did I even exist to her?” Ella cried. Mia sighed, “I knew nothing about the will. You chose to pursue your passion despite Mom arguing against it. It makes sense she left you with nothing.” Worse still, Mia announced her plan to sell the house and told Ella to clear out her stuff. Shocked and heartbroken, Ella packed her childhood belongings in silence. Taking the stroller and her suitcase, she left for New York, ultimately forgetting the painful inheritance as she got caught up with work. That same day, she changed her number, determining to cut ties with Mia for good. Years later, while moving to a bigger apartment, Ella rediscovered the dusty stroller in storage. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Determined to reconnect, Ella flew back, only to find Mia had disappeared without a trace. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 秘密★启封并使用完毕前【考试时间:2026年1月20日10:10~12:10】 ·字节精准教育联盟· 2026年普通高等学校招生全国统一考试·第二阶段学情调研测试 英 语 试 题 ·成都、绵阳、南充版·高三上期末· 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 做题时,先将答案标在试卷上。 What is the possible relationship between the speakers? Some researchers recently analyzed the favorite tracks of 2,000 British people and the happiest song was apparently “Don’t Stop Me Now”. M: What’s seed bombing? W: It’s a project which helps to plant new trees and flowers in places where few of them grow. These are little balls made of different plant seeds mixed with earth. Then you throw these balls and hope to see new plants soon. Our school club wanted to plant flowers near the old factories on Market Street. This place looked quite ugly, so we met with the town authorities, and they said we could do it. M: Great news! W: Yeah. On Wednesday, we went to Market Street, but when we were throwing the seed bombs the police came over. They thought we were throwing rocks at the windows. They took us to the police station. Then we called our teacher, and he brought the document that we had got from the town authorities. After that, we went home. D The road to the orphanage is smooth and easy to travel. 27. What can we learn from the story? A. Enthusiasm from the children. B. Comfort of riding a motorbike. C. Beauty of working in the morning. D. Pleasure of being part of a new culture. A 25. B 26. C 27. 根据第一段“We are setting out to work in an orphanage just outside Cambodia’s capital city.(我们要去柬埔寨首都郊外的一家孤儿院工作)”和第四段“Finally we arrive at our destination: the oasis (绿洲) is Samong Farm. In such conditions you would imagine life to be hard, but you wouldn’t know it to see the warm smiles and hear the laughter of the residents at Samong Orphanage.(终于,我们抵达了目的地:这片绿洲就是萨蒙农场。大门旁,一群10岁左右的孩子正在玩弹珠比赛。几个围过来的孩子大喊着“Cha,cha (‘老师’的简称)!”向我们打招呼。当我们从车上下来时,太阳已经火辣辣的,绿洲和周围的田野一样干燥。在这样的环境下,你可能会以为生活很艰难,但看到Samong孤儿院居民们温暖的笑容,听到他们的笑声,你就不会这么觉得了)”可知,作者此行的终点是Samong孤儿院。故选A项。 根据第二段“The morning rush hour in Phnom Penh is crowded and chaotic. Kivi directs our path between the trucks, 4×4 Lexus and countless motorbikes, which often carry entire families.(金边的早高峰既拥挤又混乱。Kivi在卡车、四驱雷克萨斯和无数摩托车之间为我们指引道路,这些摩托车上常常载着全家人)”可知,Kivi在拥挤且混乱的早高峰中驾驶Tuk Tuk,穿梭于卡车、越野车和无数摩托车之间。由此推知,他有高超的驾驶技巧。故选B项。 【26题详解】 推理判断题。根据三段“We pass huts on stilts (木桩), skinny cows and farm yards where children jump and scream upon seeing us. (我们经过高跷棚屋、瘦骨嶙峋的奶牛和农场院子,孩子们一看到我们就又跳又叫)”和第四段的句子“We’re greeted by the shouts of ‘Cha, cha (short for ‘teacher’)!’ from several other kids gathering round. (几个围过来的孩子大喊着“Cha,cha (‘老师’的简称)!”向我们打招呼)”可知,孩子们见到陌生人又跳又叫,且主动和陌生人打招呼。由此推知,他们对陌生人很好奇且友好。故选C项。 【27题详解】 细节理解题。根据末段的句子“Compared to children in the Western world, they have little and yet they give so much in generosity of spirit and enthusiasm for every day.(与西方世界的孩子相比,他们拥有的不多,却在精神的慷慨与对生活的热忱上给予了如此之多)”可知,孤儿院的孩子们虽然物质匮乏,但精神上却非常慷慨和热情,这种对生活的热爱和积极态度给人留下深刻印象。故选A项。 C The ongoing climate change is ready to have serious and lasting consequences for plants across the globe. Higher CO2, healthier vegetables 【答案】28. D 29. C 30. B 31. 根据第一段中“A research conducted by Liverpool John Moores University, UK is primarily focused on exploring how the nutritional content of food crops may be affected by the interacting effects of rising CO2 levels and increasing temperatures associated with climate change.(英国利物浦约翰摩尔斯大学开展的一项研究,主要聚焦于探索与气候变化相关的二氧化碳浓度上升和气温升高的共同作用,会如何影响粮食作物的营养成分)”可知,该研究的核心是气候变化及其对作物营养的影响。 根据第二段中的“For this project, these crops are grown in environment-controlled growth rooms... and the CO2 and temperature levels are changed to look like the UK’s predicted future climate conditions.(在该项目中,这些作物种植在环境可控的生长室中,二氧化碳和气温水平被调节至英国未来预测的气候状况)”以及第三段中的“Early results from this project suggest that raised levels of atmospheric CO2 can help crops grow faster and bigger(该项目的初步结果表明,大气中二氧化碳浓度升高能促使作物长得更快、更大)”可知,研究中作物的生长环境具有较高的二氧化碳浓度。 根据最后一段““This changed balance could contribute to diets that are higher in calories but poorer in nutritional value,” says Ms. Ekele. “Increased sugar content in crops, especially fruits and vegetables, could lead to greater risks of extreme overweight and type 2 diabetes — particularly in populations already struggling with these diseases.”(埃克莱女士表示:“这种营养平衡的改变,可能会导致人们的饮食热量更高、但营养价值却更低。”“农作物中糖分含量的增加 —— 尤其是果蔬类作物 —— 可能会提高重度肥胖和2型糖尿病的患病风险,对那些本就深受这些疾病困扰的人群来说,情况尤为严重。”)”可知,她的话语中充满了对作物营养变化给人类健康带来隐患的担忧。故选B项。 【31题详解】 主旨大意题。通读全文,并结合第三段中“Early results from this project suggest that raised levels of atmospheric CO2 can help crops grow faster and bigger, but certainly not healthier. After some time, the crops showed a reduction in key minerals like Ca and certain antioxidant compounds. These changes were worsened by rising temperatures.(该项目的初步研究结果显示,大气中二氧化碳浓度的升高确实能促进作物生长得更快、植株更大,但这绝不意味着作物变得更健康。经过一段时间的生长后,这些作物体内的钙等关键矿物质以及某些抗氧化化合物的含量均出现了下降,而气温的持续升高则进一步加剧了这些变化)”可知,文章核心围绕气候变化(二氧化碳浓度升高、气温上升)展开,指出其虽能让作物长得更大更快,但会导致关键矿物质、抗氧化化合物等营养成分减少,形成“作物更大,营养更少”的现象。A项“更大的作物,更少的营养”能概括主旨,适合作为本文标题。故选A项。 D Mariah Carey is best known for her love songs, but this week she expressed her distinct hate for a particular enemy: overhead lighting. A. Caused strong responses. C. Supportive. D. Dismissive. A 33. A 34. D 35. 根据第一段“Mariah Carey is best known for her love songs, but this week she expressed her distinct hate for a particular enemy: overhead lighting. She jokingly said she was “bothered by the ugly lighting in every elevator, doorway, gym.…Shut the lights. Turn them out. I don’t want to see them.”(玛丽亚·凯莉最为人所知的是她的情歌,但本周她却公开表达了对某个特定“敌人”的强烈厌恶:那就是头顶的灯光。她开玩笑地表示:“每部电梯、每个门道、健身房里……那难看的灯光都让我感到困扰。关掉灯吧。把灯都关掉。我不想看到它们。”)”可知,提到Mariah Carey是为了引出本文要讨论的话题。故选A。 根据划线词后文“David Warfel, founding designer at Light Can Help You, agrees with Carey. “Overhead lighting is a curse (诅咒) that most of us live under,” says Warfel, who is based in Madison, Wisconsin. “Nothing makes me angrier than overhead lighting,” said Drew Barrymore, a cheerful actress.(“光能帮助你”公司的创始人设计师大卫·瓦弗尔也认同凯里的观点。“头顶的照明简直就是一种诅咒,我们大多数人生活在这样的环境中。”威斯康星州麦迪逊市的瓦弗尔说道。而开朗的女演员德鲁·巴里摩尔则表示:“没有什么比头顶的照明更让我感到愤怒的了。”)”可知,Mariah Carey对头顶照明的不满引起了广泛的共鸣和反响。故划线词意思是“引起了强烈的反响”。故选A。 根据第四段“Still, designers warn not to completely reject all ceiling-mounted lights. When placed and directed correctly, overhead fixtures can create light that bounces off the walls and ceilings before hitting your eyes, resulting in a soft and comfortable light.(不过,设计师们提醒大家,不要完全摒弃所有安装在天花板上的灯具。如果安装得当且方向正确,这些天花板上的灯具能够发出光线,这些光线会先在墙壁和天花板上反射,然后再照到你的眼睛上,从而形成柔和且舒适的光线)”可知,作者写第四段是为了说明适当的顶灯照明是有益的。故选D。 【35题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“So why are the big light and its type so common? Part of it has to do with maximizing profit, says Dave Konstantin, founder of Konstantin Lighting Design. And the fact is that often, no one with specific knowledge about lighting design consults on projects. “I’ve gone into multimillion dollar homes that are brand new, just built,” he says. “And the builder has just put very cheap recessed lights throughout the entire house. Many people don’t notice or care about poor lighting.”(那么,为什么这种大型灯具及其类型如此常见呢? 故选A。 Every year, the international education company Education First (EF) ranks countries based on their English skills. Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are North Germanic languages. ____37____ English is one of these West Germanic languages. Some researchers even think English might be a Scandinavian language. That would explain something. ____38____ But that’s only part of the reason that many Scandinavians are fluent in English. ____39____ For example, many Norwegian TV shows are in English — and they don’t use subtitles — and most of the top songs in Denmark are by American musicians. G 37. D 38. B 39. F 40. 【36题详解】 根据上文“Since 2011, when the first survey was done, Scandinavians(斯堪的那维亚人) — people from Norway, Sweden and Denmark — have ranked among the top five countries. (自2011年首次开展这项调查以来,斯堪的纳维亚人——来自挪威、瑞典和丹麦的人群——所在的国家一直位列前五。)”以及下文“But it’s also because of the way English is taught in their schools, their use of English media... (但这也是因为他们学校的英语教学方式、对英语媒体的使用……)”可知,此空需要引出斯堪的纳维亚人英语好的部分原因,且与下文的“also because of”形成“partly because of... also because of...” G选项“This is partly because of their location and shared linguistic history with English. (部分原因在于他们的地理位置以及与英语共通的语言发展史)”中的“partly because of” 完美衔接下文的“also because of”,同时开启对原因的分析,符合语境。故选G项。 【37题详解】 根据上文“Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are North Germanic languages. (挪威语、瑞典语和丹麦语都属于北日耳曼语支。)”以及下文“English is one of these West Germanic languages. (英语则属于西日耳曼语支。)”可知,此空需要建立北日耳曼语支和西日耳曼语支之间的联系。D选项“They split from West Germanic languages less than 1,800 years ago. (它们在距今不到1800年前才与西日耳曼语支分化开来。)”中的“They”指代前文的“North Germanic languages”,“split from West Germanic languages” 搭建了两类语言的关联,为下文“英语和斯堪的纳维亚语言渊源深厚”做铺垫,符合语境。故选D项。 【38题详解】 根据上文“Some researchers even think English might be a Scandinavian language. That would explain something. (一些研究者甚至认为英语可能算是一种斯堪的纳维亚语言。这一点可以解释一个现象。)”可知,此空需要举例说明英语和斯堪的纳维亚语言的关联性,佐证前文观点。B选项“For example, English and Swedish share over 1,500 words. (例如,英语和瑞典语有超过1500个共通词汇。)”通过“词汇共通”的具体例子,印证了两类语言的亲缘关系,符合语境。故选B项。 【39题详解】 根据上文“But that’s only part of the reason that many Scandinavians are fluent in English. (但这只是斯堪的纳维亚人英语流利的部分原因。)”以及下文“For example, many Norwegian TV shows are in English — and they don’t use subtitles — and most of the top songs in Denmark are by American musicians. (例如,许多挪威的电视节目都是英语原声且无字幕,丹麦的大多数热门歌曲也都出自美国音乐人之手。)”可知,此空需要提出另一个原因,且该原因与下文的“英语电视节目、英文歌曲”相关。F选项“Scandinavian children are surrounded by English media from a very young age. (斯堪的纳维亚的孩子从小就被英语媒体环境包围。)”中的“English media” 对应下文的电视节目和歌曲举例,点明了英语媒体对语言学习的影响,符合语境。故选F项。 【40题详解】 根据上文“Timetric did a survey. It showed most Scandinavians take one or more international trips a year. That’s more than in most countries. (Timetric公司开展的一项调查显示,大多数斯堪的纳维亚人每年至少会出国旅行一次,这个比例高于大多数国家。)”以及下文“They go to English-speaking schools. (他们会去英语国家的学校就读。)”可知,此空需要承接前文的“国际旅行”,引出斯堪的纳维亚人更多的国际接触机会,且与下文的“英语国家求学”相关。C选项“It’s also common for Scandinavian college students to study abroad. (斯堪的纳维亚的大学生出国留学也十分常见。)”中的“study abroad” 既衔接了前文的国际出行,又呼应了下文的“go to English-speaking schools”,符合语境。故选C项。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Former Olympic cyclist Mia Carter shares a heartfelt story of a 12-year-old boy named Leo who dreamed of joining the town’s cycling club. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】参考范文: Years later, while moving to a bigger apartment, Ella rediscovered the dusty stroller in storage. Feeling bitter, she lifted out the doll and an envelope hidden beneath its dress caught her eye. Inside the envelope, she found a letter and a $50,000 check. The letter was from Robyn, which revealed a shocking truth. Robyn explained the money was meant to fund Ella’s fashion dream. She also clarified leaving the house to Mia only to ensure her stability, while believing in Ella’s ambition all along. Overcome with emotion, Ella regretted doubting her mother’s love and hurried to find Mia. Determined to reconnect, Ella flew back, only to find Mia had disappeared without a trace. Not knowing where to go, Ella wandered the streets aimlessly until she spotted a familiar figure, who was begging for money — it was Mia. Consumed with guilt, Ella rushed to embrace her, and Mia tearfully apologized for selling their childhood home. That evening, they checked into a hotel, and the next day flew back to New York together, where Mia joined Ella’s growing fashion company. Since that day, the sisters were inseparable, rebuilding both their bond and proving family could heal even the deepest wounds. 词汇激活 行为类 ①发现:catch one’s eye/spot/find ②道歉:apologize/say sorry/make an apology ③重建:rebuild/reestablish/restore 情绪类 ①震惊:shocking /astonishing/surprising ②后悔:regret/repent/feel remorseful 【点睛】[高分句型1] The letter was from Robyn, which revealed a shocking truth.(运用了关系代词which引导非限制性定语从句,修饰先行词The letter) [高分句型2] Not knowing where to go, Ella wandered the streets aimlessly until she spotted a familiar figure, who was begging for money — it was Mia.(运用了现在分词短语作状语,以及who引导的非限制性定语从句) [高分句型3] That evening, they checked into a hotel, and the next day flew back to New York together, where Mia joined Ella’s growing fashion company.(运用了关系副词where引导非限制性定语从句,修饰先行词New York) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $null
