Less than a week later, on April fourteen, eighteen sixty five, Abraham lincoln was shot at the fourth theatre in washington, D. C. He died the next day from his wounds. Ago, our father's . brought forth on this continent a new nation conceived in liberty, dedicated to the proposition that all men are . created equal.
