Here are some of the best places to visit. Plitvicka Jezera Plitvicka Jezera is a small town in Croatia, best known as the gateway to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in the region, featuring multiple lakes, which are linked by a series of waterfalls. The park is rich in wildlife, including deer, bears, and wolves, and offers visitors a chance to explore its breathtaking landscapes through a network of wooden walkways and trails. Bled Bled is a picturesque town in Slovenia, often referred to as “little Switzerland” due to its amazing alpine scenery, characterized by snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear glacial waters, and thick green forests. The town is centered around Lake Bled, which is famous for the iconic Bled Island. Bled is also perfect for outdoor activities, including swimming, bungee jumping, and whitewater rafting. Split Split is a lively city in Croatia, known for its rich history and striking buildings. The city features the magnificent Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which was built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. Visitors can wander through the palace’s narrow streets, exploring Roman ruins and medieval buildings that have been repurposed into shops, cafes, and homes. Bratislava Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is a charming city that often gets overlooked by travelers. Despite its small size, it offers a unique mix of history and modernity. The city center is filled with medieval streets, historic buildings, and a vibrant atmosphere. Visitors can explore the Bratislava Castle, which offers panoramic (全景的) views of the city, and enjoy the traditional Slovakian cuisine in the local restaurants. 1. Which place is the entrance to the national park with interconnected lakes and waterfalls? A. Plitvicka Jezera. B. Bled. C. Split. D. Bratislava. 2. Why is Bled regarded as “little Switzerland”? A. Because of its natural features. B. Because of its central location. C. Because of its iconic buildings. D. Because of its outdoor activities. 3. What do Split and Bratislava feature as mentioned in the text? A. The small size. B. The historical architecture. C. The traditional restaurants. D. The UNESCO World Heritage sites. A 2. A 3. 根据第二段“Plitvicka Jezera is a small town in Croatia, best known as the gateway to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in the region, featuring multiple lakes, which are linked by a series of waterfalls. (普利特维采湖群小镇是克罗地亚的一个小镇,最著名的身份是普利特维采湖国家公园的门户。这个联合国教科文组织世界遗产地是该地区最美丽的自然景点之一,拥有多个湖泊,湖泊之间由一系列瀑布相连。)”可知,普利特维采湖群小镇是拥有相连湖泊和瀑布的国家公园的入口。故选A。 根据第三段“Bled is a picturesque town in Slovenia, often referred to as “little Switzerland” due to its amazing alpine scenery, characterized by snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear glacial waters, and thick green forests. (布莱德是斯洛文尼亚一个风景如画的小镇,因其令人惊叹的高山风光,常被称为‘小瑞士’,其特色是雪山、清澈的冰川湖水和茂密的绿色森林。)”可知,布莱德被称为“小瑞士”是因为它的自然景观特征。故选A。 根据第四段“Split is a lively city in Croatia, known for its rich history and striking buildings... exploring Roman ruins and medieval buildings that have been repurposed into shops, cafes, and homes. (斯普利特是克罗地亚一个充满活力的城市,以其丰富的历史和引人注目的建筑而闻名……漫步在宫殿狭窄的街道上,探索已改建为商店、咖啡馆和住宅的罗马遗迹和中世纪建筑。)”以及第五段“Bratislava... The city center is filled with medieval streets, historic buildings, and a vibrant atmosphere. Visitors can explore the Bratislava Castle... (布拉迪斯拉发……市中心布满了中世纪的街道、历史建筑,氛围活跃。游客可以参观布拉迪斯拉发城堡……)”可知,斯普利特和布拉迪斯拉发的共同特色是拥有历史建筑。故选B。 B Born in Sudan in 1990, Hamza Yassin is a wildlife cameraman and TV presenter. He was eight when they landed in the UK. Besides the changes in climate, he also had to adjust to the change in pets: “Where’s everyone’s pet lions and monkeys? It was all cats and dogs. I hadn’t realised what a special upbringing I had had. But it was the UK that cemented my love of wildlife. At first glance, it doesn’t look like there is a lot of wildlife, especially in the winter. But if you peel back the layers, there is so much.” Though his doctor parents didn’t have time to closely teach him, they did turn on the television; in particular, the Discovery Channel. David Attenborough’s The Life of Birds was an eye-opening experience, and Steve Irwin was a huge inspiration, too. While he thought they had cool jobs, he never thought he could be a presenter. He never saw anyone like him in front of the camera. He was a teenager who wasn’t white. It was still a long road to establishing his career, though. It was not until after he became an assistant for the incredible wildlife cameraman Jesse Wilkinson that he realized he needed to create his own journey. When he was 21, he traveled with friends to the Highlands. Two weeks later, he was back there for good. He told his parents he was living in a beautiful cottage. The truth was that he was living in his car, just trying to make ends meet. He parked at the local ferry terminal but lived there happily for nine months, doing odd jobs — cutting grass, and moving furniture to earn enough money to survive. During that time, he was cutting his teeth as a wildlife cameraman — he was determined that he wouldn’t go back to Northampton with his tail between his legs and say to his parents: “I’ve been defeated.” Luckily, everything paid off. That experience taught him everything he needed to know about the profession. Eventually, Hamza became a renowned wildlife cameraman, inspiring others to pursue their dreams regardless of their background. 4. What does the underlined word "cemented" in paragraph 2 refer to? A. Challenged. B. Reduced. C. Strengthened. D. Assessed. 5. Why didn’t Hamza think he could be a TV presenter at the beginning? A. He lacked confidence because of his color. B. He obtained little support from his parents. C. He took no passion for being a presenter. D. He feared to stand in front of the camera. 6. Why does the author mention Hamza’s trip to the Highlands? A. It refined his photography skills. B. It started his own career journey. C. It led to a life-long friendship. D. It enriched his life experience. 7. What can we learn from Hamza’s experience? A. Actions speak louder than words. B. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. C. Great minds think alike. D. Strike while the iron is hot. C 5. A 6. B 7. 根据第二段中的“But it was the UK that cemented my love of wildlife. At first glance, it doesn’t look like there is a lot of wildlife, especially in the winter. But if you peel back the layers, there is so much.(但正是英国cemented我对野生动物的热爱。乍一看,这里似乎没有太多野生动物,尤其是在冬天。但如果你深入探索,会发现这里的野生动物非常多)”可知,英国的野生动物资源让Hamza对野生动物的热爱进一步加深,由此猜测cemented意为“巩固、加强”,与Strengthened意思相近。故选C项。 【5题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中的“While he thought they had cool jobs, he never thought he could be a presenter. He never saw anyone like him in front of the camera. He was a teenager who wasn’t white.(虽然他觉得他们的工作很酷,但他从未想过自己能成为一名节目主持人。他从未在镜头前看到过像他这样的人。他是一个非白人青少年)”可知,Hamza一开始认为自己不能成为电视节目主持人,是因为他是有色人种,在镜头前看不到和自己一样的人,因此缺乏信心。故选A项。 根据第四段中的“It was not until after he became an assistant for the incredible wildlife cameraman Jesse Wilkinson that he realized he needed to create his own journey. When he was 21, he traveled with friends to the Highlands. Two weeks later, he was back there for good.(直到成为杰出野生动物摄影师杰西·威尔金森的助手后,他才意识到需要开辟自己的人生道路。21岁时,他和朋友去了苏格兰高地旅行。两周后,他就永久回到了那里)”可推断,作者提及Hamza的高地之旅,是因为这次旅行开启了他自己的职业生涯之路。故选B项。 【7题详解】 推理判断题。根据第四段中的“The truth was that he was living in his car, just trying to make ends meet. He parked at the local ferry terminal but lived there happily for nine months, doing odd jobs — cutting grass, and moving furniture to earn enough money to survive. During that time, he was cutting his teeth as a wildlife cameraman — he was determined that he wouldn’t go back to Northampton with his tail between his legs and say to his parents: “I’ve been defeated.” C If you are a bean, nut, and seed lover, nutritionists say that you are on a good diet as these are some of the healthiest foods. Locally, nutritionists say these are very much affordable sources of protein, fibre, iron, and vitamins that offer many health benefits. Gerald Ruzindana, a nutrition and wellness expert, says protein is a vital nutrient that plays a key role in maintaining and repairing the body, and legumes (豆科植物) are high in amino acids (氨基酸), the building blocks of protein. He says that people should consider consuming legumes on a daily basis. “With their presence of proteins, consuming legumes helps heal and make new tissues in the body,” he says. Legumes are also linked to significantly lower risks of heart disease, high blood pressure according to studies. “It’s surprising how many people still don’t understand the benefits that come with consuming legumes,” says Erick Musengimana, a nutritionist at Rwanda Diabetes Association. He adds that legumes provide fibre, protein, carbohydrate, B vitamins, and because they are plant foods, they are cholesterol free as well, which makes them a perfect option. From studies, one serving of legumes, which is one-half cup, provides about 115 calories, 20g of carbohydrate, 7–9g of fibre, 8g of protein, and 1g of fat. It has also been established that legumes are an essential part of many healthy eating patterns, including the Mediterranean style of eating and vegetarian. Along with being a highly nutritious food, evidence shows that legumes can play an important role in the prevention and management of a number of health conditions. Also, nutritionists say that a diet that regularly includes legumes may help with weight control, because of its fibre content and protein, as this means that it will slowly get digested after consumption, therefore, aiding in satiety. 8. According to the passage, what is an important nutrient that sustains and restores the body? A. Vitamin. B. Amino acid. C. Fibre. D. Protein. 9. Why does the author mention the statistics in paragraph 3? A. To illustrate that legumes are popular. B. To explain why legumes are cholesterol-free. C. To prove the nutritional value of legumes. D. To compare legumes with other eating styles. 10 What does the underlined word “satiety” in paragraph 4 mean? A. The state of being full. B. The state of being active. C. The state of being nutritious. D. The state of being hungry. 11. What’s the main idea of the text? A. Legumes are helpful to lower risks of heart disease. B. Legumes are beneficial to people’s physical health. C. Legumes are a key component of specialized diets. D. Legumes are economical sources of various nutrients. D 9. C 10. A 11. 根据第二段中“Gerald Ruzindana, a nutrition and wellness expert, says protein is a vital nutrient that plays a key role in maintaining and repairing the body, and legumes (豆科植物) are high in amino acids (氨基酸), the building blocks of protein.(营养与健康专家杰拉尔德·鲁津达纳表示,蛋白质是维持和修复身体机能的关键营养素,而豆科植物富含氨基酸,氨基酸是构成蛋白质的基本单位。)” 根据第三段中“From studies, one serving of legumes, which is one-half cup, provides about 115 calories, 20g of carbohydrate, 7–9g of fibre, 8g of protein, and lg of fat.(研究表明,一份半杯的豆类含有约115卡路里、20克碳水化合物、7-9克纤维、8克蛋白质和1克脂肪。)” 根据第四段中“Also, nutritionists say that a diet that regularly includes legumes may help with weight control, because of its fibre content and protein, as this means that it will slowly get digested after consumption, therefore, aiding in satiety.(此外,营养学家表示,由于含有纤维和蛋白质,经常食用豆类的饮食可能有助于控制体重,因为这意味着食用后它会慢慢消化,从而有助于satiety。)” 故选A。 通读全文,尤其是根据第二段中“Legumes are also linked to significantly lower risks of heart disease, high blood pressure according to studies.(根据研究,豆类还与显著降低心脏病、高血压的风险有关。)”、第三段中“He adds that legumes provide fibre, protein, carbohydrate, B vitamins, and because they are plant foods, they are cholesterol free as well, which makes them a perfect option.(他补充说,豆类提供纤维、蛋白质、碳水化合物、B族维生素,而且因为它们是植物性食物,所以不含胆固醇,这使它们成为一个完美的选择。)”以及最后一段中“Along with being a highly nutritious food, evidence shows that legumes can play an important role in the prevention and management of a number of health conditions.(作为一种高营养食品,有证据表明,豆类在预防和管理许多健康状况方面可以发挥重要作用。)” B。 D Have you ever walked past a parked car on a hot day and felt the heat radiating off it? It’s not your imagination. In urban environments, heat is absorbed and released by the sidewalks, buildings and other objects. Now, a new study reveals that an unexpected factor in urban warming is heat radiating from parked cars. Márcia Matias of the University of Lisbon and her colleagues measured the air temperature around two cars — one black and one white — parked outside for more than 5 hours during daylight. Their measurements showed the black car raised the local air temperature by as much as 3.8℃ compared to the nearby asphalt (沥青路面)under a clear and sunny summer sky with temperatures of 36℃. Meanwhile, the white car had much smaller impacts on the surrounding air temperature. The researchers explain that white vehicle paint reflects between 75% and 85% of incoming sunlight, whereas black vehicle paint absorbs most of the incoming sunlight, reflecting only 5% to 10%. A car’s thin steel or aluminum skin can also heat up quickly under strong sunlight, unlike even very dark asphalt that is thicker and warms more slowly. “Now picture thousands of cars parked across a city, each one acting like a little heat source or a heat shield,” says Matias. “Their color can actually shift how hot the streets feel.” The collective impact of hundreds of thousands or millions of cars in cities could significantly influence the urban heat island effect. The researchers calculated that repainting parked cars from dark to lighter colors could create cooler surfaces and lower near-surface air temperatures on sunny, low-wind days. Using the city of Lisbon as an example, the change could effectively increase the street-level reflectance (反射比)of incoming sunlight from just 20% to nearly 40% in areas where parked cars cover more than 10% of the road. The researchers also note that using light-colored vehicles to reduce urban heat is a particularly novel strategy, and fleets of municipal vehicles, buses, taxis and delivery trucks are obvious candidates for getting light-colored makeovers. 12. What did the researchers find about the black car according to paragraph 2? A. It reflected more heat than the white car. B. It raised the surrounding air temperature. C. It heated up the surface of the asphalt. D. It cooled down faster than the white car. 13. What does the author intend to tell us in paragraph 3? A. The great significance of the research. B. The limitation of the experiment’s results. C. New methods used in the experiment. D. Reasons behind the research findings. 14. What do the researchers suggest? A. Painting specific vehicles in light colors. B. Promoting the use of public transportation. C. Increasing the thickness of car paint. D. Establishing strict parking regulations. 15. Which can be a suitable title for the text? A. What Is the Best Car Color for Summer? B. How Do Parked Cars Affect Urban Heat? C. Why Are Our Cities Getting Hotter? D. How Can We Make Our Cities cooler? B 13. D 14. A 15. 根据第二段中的“Their measurements showed the black car raised the local air temperature by as much as 3.8℃ compared to the nearby asphalt (沥青路面)under a clear and sunny summer sky with temperatures of 36℃.(他们的测量结果显示,在36℃、晴朗炎热的夏日天空下,与附近的沥青路面相比,这辆黑色汽车使当地气温升高了高达3.8℃)”可知,研究人员发现黑色汽车会升高周围的空气温度。 根据第三段中的“The researchers explain that white vehicle paint reflects between 75% and 85% of incoming sunlight, whereas black vehicle paint absorbs most of the incoming sunlight, reflecting only 5% to 10%. A car’s thin steel or aluminum skin can also heat up quickly under strong sunlight, unlike even very dark asphalt that is thicker and warms more slowly.(研究人员解释说,白色车漆能反射75%至85%的入射阳光,而黑色车漆会吸收大部分入射阳光,仅反射5%至10%。汽车薄薄的钢皮或铝皮在强烈阳光下也能快速升温,而即使是颜色很深的沥青,由于厚度较大,升温速度也较慢)”可知,作者在第三段旨在说明研究发现背后的原因——车辆颜色和材质对升温速度的影响。故选D项。 【14题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段中的“The researchers also note that using light-colored vehicles to reduce urban heat is a particularly novel strategy, and fleets of municipal vehicles, buses, taxis and delivery trucks are obvious candidates for getting light-colored makeovers.(研究人员还指出,使用浅色车辆来降低城市温度是一种特别新颖的策略,市政车辆、公交车、出租车和配送卡车车队显然是进行浅色涂装改造的合适对象)”可知,研究人员建议将特定车辆涂成浅色。故选A项。 结合第一段中的“Now, a new study reveals that an unexpected factor in urban warming is heat radiating from parked cars.(现在,一项新的研究揭示,城市变暖的一个意外因素是停放车辆散发的热量)”可知,文章核心围绕停放车辆如何影响城市热效应展开,“How Do Parked Cars Affect Urban Heat?(停放的车辆如何影响城市热效应?)” The world of writing is changing. Things have moved very quickly from keyboards and predictive text. The rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI) means robots can now write human-quality text without having hands at all. Recent improvements in speech-to-text software mean even human “writers” do not need to touch a keyboard, let alone a pen. And with help from AI, text can even be generated by decoders that read brain activity through non-invasive scanning. ____16____, without having to lift a finger. The word “writer” may come to mean something very different, as people compose text in multiple ways in an increasingly digital world. However, learning to handwrite is still a key component of the literacy curriculum in primary schools. ____17____. But there are a number of important reasons why handwriting will still be taught in schools. ● It helps you remember Handwriting has important cognitive benefits, including for memory. Research suggests traditional pen-and-paper notes are remembered better, due to the greater complexity of the handwriting process. ____18____ In many cases, students become better readers through practicing writing. ____19____ Handwriting does not need electricity, devices, batteries, software, subscriptions, a fast Internet connection, a keyboard, charging time or the many other things on which digital writing depends. It only needs a pen and paper and can be done anywhere. Sometimes handwriting is the easiest and best option. ●It is about thinking Most importantly, learning to write and learning to think are closely connected. ____20____. They are developed and organized as they are composed. Thinking is too important to be outsourced to robots! Teaching writing is about giving students a toolkit of multiple writing strategies. Handwriting will remain an important component of this toolkit for the foreseeable future. A. It is very accessible B. Ideas are formed as students write C. It has become part of your daily routine D. Writers of the future will be talkers and thinkers E. And learning to read and handwrite are closely linked F. Good handwriting can help you make a good first impression G. Parents may be wondering whether learning to handwrite is worth the trouble 【答案】16. D 17. G 18. E 19. A 20. 【16题详解】 空前“Recent improvements in speech-to-text software mean even human “writers” do not need to touch a keyboard, let alone a pen. And with help from AI, text can even be generated by decoders that read brain activity through non-invasive scanning.(近期,语音转文字软件取得了显著进展,这意味着即使是人类“写作者”也无需触碰键盘,更不用说动笔了。 【17题详解】 空前“However, learning to handwrite is still a key component of the literacy curriculum in primary schools.(然而,学习手写仍然是小学识字课程的重要组成部分。)” 【18题详解】 空后“In many cases, students become better readers through practicing writing.(在很多情况下,学生通过练习写成为更好的阅读者。)”说明练习写是可以提高阅读能力的,E选项“And learning to read and handwrite are closely linked(而学习阅读和书写是密切相关的)”说明学习阅读和写相关,引起下文,符合语境,故选E。 【19题详解】 空格处是本段小标题,由空后“Handwriting does not need electricity, devices, batteries, software, subscriptions, a fast Internet connection, a keyboard, charging time or the many other things on which digital writing depends. It only needs a pen and paper and can be done anywhere.(手写无需电力、设备、电池、软件、订阅服务、高速网络连接、键盘、充电时间,也不用依赖数字写作所必需的诸多其他东西。它只需要一支笔和一张纸,而且随时随地都能进行。)”可知,本段主要讲的是用手写是很容易实现的,A选项“It is very accessible(它很容易开展)”说明用手写很容易开展,概括了本段内容,可作为小标题,故选A。 【20题详解】 空前“Most importantly, learning to write and learning to think are closely connected.(最重要是,学习写和学习思考是紧密相连的。)” I’ve always been terrified of heights. He was a lovely boy but he lost his left leg in a car accident and had to walk by a false leg (假肢). He couldn’t follow other kids. He felt lonely and decided to keep a pet dog as his friend. One day, he walked past a pet shop and saw a sign above the door that said: “Puppies for Sale”. The little boy asked the shop owner, “I want to buy one of your puppies. Can I please look at the puppies?” The pet shop owner got impressed with the honesty of the boy. “Sure,” said the shop owner. He smiled and whistled loudly. Five puppies ran down the walkway of the pet shop. The little boy’s eyes danced with pleasure. As the puppies made their way towards the fence, the little boy noticed that one puppy was falling behind. This puppy was limping (跛行) and trying its best to catch up with the others. Immediately the little boy pointed out towards the limping puppy and asked, “What’s wrong with that little puppy?” The shop owner explained that when the puppy was born, the pet hospital had examined the little puppy and had discovered there was something wrong with its back leg. It would limp for the rest of its life. The little boy got really excited and said, “That is the puppy that I want to buy.” The shop owner replied, “No, that puppy is not for sale. Nobody will buy that puppy due to his disabled leg. He needs extra care and I’m afraid people might not understand his needs and might not give him the attention and love he needs.” Para 1 The little boy got quite upset with the reply of the shop owner. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Para 2 Deeply moved, the shop owner paused for a moment. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】例文 The little boy got quite upset with the reply of the shop owner. He slowly rolled up his left pant, revealing his own false leg. “I know what it’s like to be different. People look at me and think I’m not like the other kids. But that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve love. This puppy deserves a chance too. I want him, and I’ll love him just the way he is.” His voice trembled with emotion as he spoke, his eyes filled with both determination and a deep understanding of what it meant to be different. Deeply moved, the shop owner paused for a moment. He saw the boy’s deep compassion and realized that the boy wasn’t just asking for a dog—he was asking for a friend. “Alright,” the shop owner said softly, “If you truly want him and promise to take good care of him, then he’s yours.” The boy’s face lit up with joy, and he eagerly hugged the puppy. From that day on, the boy and the limping puppy became best friends, showing the world that love and friendship are built not on perfection, but on acceptance and care. 词汇激活 行为类 ①颤抖:tremble/shiver/shake ②充满:be filled with/be stuffed with ③拥抱:hug/embrace 情绪类 ①快乐:joy/pleasure ②渴望地:eagerly/longingly 【点睛】[高分句型1] He saw the boy’s deep compassion and realized that the boy wasn’t just asking for a dog—he was asking for a friend.(运用了that引导宾语从句) [高分句型2] From that day on, the boy and the limping puppy became best friends, showing the world that love and friendship are built not on perfection, but on acceptance and care.(运用了现在分词短语作状语以及that引导宾语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 汽开三中2025—2026学年度上学期期末考试 高二英语 第一部分 听力共20小题,每小题1.5分,满分30分。 1. B Born in Sudan in 1990, Hamza Yassin is a wildlife cameraman and TV presenter. C If you are a bean, nut, and seed lover, nutritionists say that you are on a good diet as these are some of the healthiest foods. 10. What does the underlined word “satiety” in paragraph 4 mean? D Have you ever walked past a parked car on a hot day and felt the heat radiating off it? D.
