1. Let students look at the two texts and pay attention to the features of the texts and the teacher explains the format of letters.

（2）            Who is the writer and the receiver of the second letter？

（3）            How did Alice feel？ What would her letter probably be about？

（4）            What would Dr Knows letter probably be about？

1. Work on 1b.

（1）            Let students read the first letter and answer the first question and give the reason.

②What does Alice have to do before breakfast？

③When can't Alice use her phone？

（3）    Read the second letter and finish the following table.
