语法点拨

1.询问和描述复数动物（What are they? & They are...）

（1）教材原句：What are they?（它们是什么？）

They are tigers.（它们是老虎。）

They are giraffes.（它们是长颈鹿。）

They are black and white.（它们是黑白相间的。）

（2）句式结构：询问复数动物是什么：What are they?

描述复数动物的种类：They are + 复数动物名称（tigers/elephants/giraffes 等）.

描述复数动物的特征：They are + 形容词（strong/big/tall/fast 等）.

（3）用法：用于对复数动物进行提问和描述，“They are” 可缩写为 “They're”。动物名称复数变化：一般直接加 - s（如 tiger-tigers）；以 s/x/ch/sh 结尾加 - es（如 fox-foxes）；不规则变化（如 sheep-sheep）。

（4）例句：A: What are they?（它们是什么？）

B: They are pandas. They are cute.（它们是熊猫，它们很可爱。）

They are elephants. They are big and strong.（它们是大象，它们又大又壮。）

2.描述单数动物（He/She is...）

（1）教材原句：This is Abu. He is an elephant.（这是阿布，他是一头大象。）

He is big and strong.（他又大又壮。）

This is Linda. She is an ostrich.（这是琳达，她是一只鸵鸟。）

She is fast.（她跑得很快。）

（2）句式结构：介绍单数动物：This is + 动物名字. He/She is a/an + 单数动物名称.

描述单数动物的特征：He/She is + 形容词（small/cute/fast 等）.

（3）用法：用于介绍单数动物并描述其特征，男性动物用 “He” 指代，女性动物用 “She” 指代，不分性别时也可用 “It”。单数动物名称前需加不定冠词 “a”（用于辅音音素开头的单词前）或 “an”（用于元音音素开头的单词前）。

（4）例句：This is Mufasa. He is a lion. He is cute.（这是木法沙，他是一头狮子，他很可爱。）

This is Leon. He is a chameleon. He is small.（这是莱昂，他是一只变色龙，他很小。）
