Taking care of our sweet Mother Earth has always been 1 to me in my life and I have taken steps in my everyday life to recycle, reuse, and think about ways to protect the environment. However, this challenge taught me ever more. Our Scholars Together community has taken on more about recycling than we have before, such as using our own china cups and metal water bottles when we go out, not buying things in plastic and having green lunches. We don't just do these sometimes, but this became a 2 . But the biggest change we made was setting a 3 of Zero Waste. We set up more boxes and bins for paper that we could 4 again, and recycled every piece of used-on-both-sides paper, plastics, cans, etc. We also 5 all of our food we cooked or bought, 6 throwing some away. We really made it into a challenge. Each day we all saw how little could be in our dustbins(垃圾箱). I realized that I had been throwing 7 away that could be used on the other side, and now I am looking everywhere for how things can be used more effectively until recycling time. The videos offered by KindSpring have been so helpful and useful for us all. I don't want the Eco challenge to end. We will continue to do our part and 8 the news to our family and friends. Next week we are trying some 9 in our local sandwich shops where the kids like to go. We will see if they can 10 their own lunch boxes in, rather than having them put in plastic bags. It is cool to see how the awareness increases.
