When I was younger, I was a different person. I was shy and quiet, often hiding behind my parents. I didn’t like sharing my ideas, and I felt nervous in big groups. I would read some books instead of joining in games during the school break.
In my neighborhood, I had a group of friends. We spent our afternoons playing outside and riding bikes. I loved the feeling of the wind in my hair as we raced (飞奔) down the street. But still, I found it hard to share my ideas. If someone suggested a game, I usually agreed, even if I didn’t want to play. I was afraid of what others might think of me.
As time went on, I started to change. I joined a club at school and learnt to express myself through art. At first, I was nervous, but my teacher was encouraging. She told me that everyone has great ideas and we can share them. That made me feel brave. I began to speak up more and even shared my drawings with my classmates.
A new friendship also helped me change for the better. I met a boy named Sam, and he loved drawing just like me. We started to work together, and I found that sharing my ideas could be fun. Sam encouraged me to be more confident. I found when I opened up, others listened and enjoyed my ideas. That made me proud.

When I was younger, I was a different person. I was shy and quiet, often hiding behind my parents. I didn’t like sharing my ideas, and I felt nervous in big groups. I would read some books instead of joining in games during the school break.
In my neighborhood I had a group of friends.
