动词不定式作状语和宾语补足语
(时间:40分钟,满分:100分)
一、 动词不定式作状语
不定式作状语时,主要用来修饰动词,说明动作的目的、结果或原因,其中目的状语是初中阶段的重点。
1. 作目的状语(最常用)
含义:说明主句动作的目的,可译为“为了……”。
结构:不定式可置于句末,也可置于句首(用逗号隔开);为了强调目的,还可在不定式前加 in order to。
例句:
She gets up early to catch the early bus.(她早起是为了赶早班车。)
To improve his English, he reads English every morning.(为了提高英语,他每天早上读英语。)
2. 作结果状语
常与 only 连用,表“出乎意料的结果”,译为“结果却……”。
例句:He hurried to the station only to find the train had left.(他匆忙赶到车站,结果却发现火车已经开走了。)
3. 作原因状语
常用于 be + 形容词 + to do 结构中,说明产生某种情绪的原因。
例句:I’m glad to see you.(见到你我很高兴。)
二、 动词不定式作宾语补足语
不定式作宾语补足语时,放在宾语后面,补充说明宾语“要做什么”或“处于某种状态”,结构为 谓语动词 + 宾语 + to do。
1. 常见接不定式作宾补的动词(初中重点)
ask/tell/order sb. to do sth. 要求/告诉/命令某人做某事
例:The teacher told us to finish our homework on time.
want/wish/expect sb. to do sth. 想要/希望/期待某人做某事
例:My parents want me to be a doctor.
allow/permit sb. to do sth. 允许某人做某事
例:Our school doesn’t allow students to use mobile phones at school.
teach/advise sb. to do sth. 教/建议某人做某事
例:She taught me to play the piano.
2. 省略 to 的特殊情况(核心考点)
使役动词(make/let/have)和感官动词(see/watch/hear/notice/feel)后接宾补时,不定式需省略 to;但变为被动语态时,to 必须还原。
