These days, an American vlogger has become very popular in China. Through his videos recording daily life in China, he has gained millions of followers. This speed is even faster than a ride on a high-speed rail.
Meanwhile, China also extended the foreigners’ visa-free stay to 240 hours, pushing this “China Travel” craze to a new height.
Many vloggers came to China with the old impressions of China from 20 years ago. But as soon as they landed, they were shocked to see a completely different China: “Is this really the same place as I thought?”
It is clear that these foreign vloggers bring more than just cameras. Through their lenses, China is full of surprises, For example, in Chongqing, “the craziest city in China”, you might see a sweaty vlogger staring at his phone, completely lost in the “3D maze (迷宫)”. What a magic city! In Beijing, some vloggers experience time-travel fun by dressing as ancient royals and taking photos. After these special experiences, it’s time for vloggers to taste real Chinese food! From hotpot and stinky tofu to roast duck and pickled Chinese cabbage fish, different kinds of flavors are enough to make their mouths water. What we have long been used to doing leaves them wide-eyed: paying with mobile phones, travelling by high-speed rail and so on.
On screen, vloggers dance with excitement over new and strange Chinese experiences; off screen, foreign viewers totally enjoy watching the videos and they can’t wait to try. After watching these videos, foreign viewers couldn’t resist it anymore! They grabbed their backpacks and began a “trip without planning”.
Foreign vloggers’ China travel is actually a “two-way” journey. They set foot on this land with curiosity, and then they are deeply shocked by the great changes taking place in China. In return, China shows the world a completely new China. The craze will disappear one day but open exchanges have just begun. Every sincere communication makes our world smaller and warmer.

D.Different flavors of Chinese food make foreign vloggers want to try them.
31.Which word can best describe foreign viewers’ feeling after watching the videos?
A.Attracted. B.Proud. C.Peaceful. D.Moved.
32.What does the author mainly want to tell us?

The imitation game, as designed by mathematician Alan Turing in his 1950 paper “Computing Machinery and Intelligence”, tasks two respondents (调查对象), a person and a computer, with answering questions from a third person or judge. The questioner must then decide which is human. This has come to be known as the Turing Test. Turing suggested that if a machine could successfully imitate a person, then it had “artificial intelligence”. So what is artificial intelligence, and could you tell the difference between a person and AI?
AI refers to the creation of intelligent machines that can think and act like humans. These systems are designed to perform tasks that typically need human intelligence, such as understanding natural language, recognizing images and making decisions.
AI has come a long way in recent years and is now being used in a variety of industries, from healthcare and finance to trade and transportation. With advances in machine learning and natural language processing, AI is becoming increasingly advanced and is able to perform more complex tasks with greater accuracy (精准度). As a person, I believe that AI has the potential to greatly improve our lives. However, there are also concerns (担忧) about the impact of AI on our society.
So what do you think of AI? I asked ChatGPT to “tell me as humanly as possible what AI is,” and the first three paragraphs are its answer. You are the judge, and I am the human respondent. Did you think my introduction was AI? What I know is that I am scared of AI. Programs like ChatGPT use machine learning to create text in response to user input. This means the program learns from existing content to create new content, which can blur the lines between an original and plagiarized (抄袭的) work. Concerns of plagiarism and misinformation are increasing as programs like ChatGPT and other AI technologies use existing writing, art and knowledge to create human-like work. This opens the door to debates on the ethics (道德伦理) of AI and the information these programs are learning from. Are these sources accurate? Is the machine learning algorithm (算法) a kind of thief?
It is our job as humans to control AI and make sure its ethical development and use. AI might not be ready to destroy humanity, but it is still reasonable to be careful about its progress.
33.According to the Turing Test, what’s the relation between machines and artificial intelligence?
A.Machines with artificial intelligence can imitate humans successfully and fool the judge.
B.Machines can develop their own artificial intelligence independently without human help.
C.It’s likely that machines with AI can perform certain tasks without human intelligence.
D.Machines can only have artificial intelligence with the presence of human respondents.
34.According to the text, how does AI work?
A.AI creates intelligent machines to complete the tasks given by humans.
B.AI makes decisions through machine learning and natural language processing.
C.AI is created and developed to perform tasks that need human intelligence.
D.AI helps humans to finish their work much faster and better through plagiarism.
35.What does the underlined part “blur the lines” in paragraph 4 mean?
A.Form a link. B.Draw the line. C.Tell the difference. D.Hide the difference.
36.What is the author’s attitude towards AI development?
A.Excited. B.Unknown. C.Worried. D.Disappointed.

【答案】33.A 34.C 35.D 36.C

A boy was reading a book in one classroom. Scrooge sat down on a bench and wept (抽泣) when he saw himself. He said, “There was a boy singing a Christmas carol at my door last night. Believe it or not, driverless cars are not a recent invention. The idea of driverless cars dates back to the 1939 New York World’s Fair. Many countries have tried to put them into use. 41
Fewer accidents and deaths
The technology used in driverless cars helps a lot. It could cut down a lot of human mistakes. 42
Many experts are describing this as the biggest advantage of driverless cars.
Higher speeds on the road
Driverless cars are considered to be safer. 43 Instead, driverless cars could mean higher speeds on roads, because computers help do the driving. The computers would calculate (估算) the operation (运行) of the cars to make sure the owners remain safe.
44
Because a driverless car would communicate with the other cars around it, it would know where to speed up. In this way, it can make sure of the quickest possible commute (通勤). Although this good thing might be influenced by each city’s conditions, it will make people’s daily trip to work or school much easier.
Freedom for the disabled
Because of the changes, driverless cars would offer disabled people more freedom.
45 So they won’t depend on others too much. They can spare more time to do things they want.
A.Shorter commute times.
B.Driverless cars have their own problems as well.
C.It doesn’t mean they will have to drive slowly.
