① Do you sometimes forget what you need to do? Making a to-do list can help. A to-do list is a list of things you want to finish. You can write it on a piece of paper or on a phone. When you finish one task (任务) , you check it off the list.
② A long time ago, in 1927, a woman doctor did a special study. She asked people to do some small tasks, like doing puzzles. The pieces were supposed to be put together in a few hours, because there are about 1,000 pieces in every puzzle. But she stopped the people before they could finish some of them. Later, she asked the people what they remembered. Most of them remembered the tasks they didn’t finish. This showed that our brains don’t forget jobs that are not done. They keep thinking about them.
③ In another study in 2011, doctors asked people to do a job. Then they gave them another job before they could finish the first one. These people did not do the new one very well. A teacher from the people who were tested said this happens because the brain is still thinking about the job that isn’t finished. This can make people feel worried.
④ But there is a way to help. If people write down a plan for how they will finish the first job, they will feel better. Then they can do the next task more easily. Just writing a plan helps the brain move on.
⑤ Experts say it’s best to make a to-do list with your most important tasks at the top. If a job is too big, you can break it into small steps. This way, you can check off more things and feel happy.

At 3:09 pm on May 27, a rocket named “Feiyan-1” took off from Lenghu, Qinghai Province. One minute later, it reached a height of 10,555.7 meters.
It’s hard to believe that “Feiyan-1” was independently developed by teenagers from high schools in Shenzhen, Beijing, and other places.
One of the teenagers is Wang Yuning who is interested in rockets and the universe. He has learned a lot about aerospace (航空航天) since childhood. With the support of his school, Wang took the lead in setting up an aerospace club, where its members learn knowledge about rockets.
The rocket took eleven months to complete. Development of the rocket began in June 2024 when high school aerospace fans from across China met in Beijing to get training and design (设计) the rocket. Then they went back to their schools and worked on designing, building and testing in their free time.
The success of “Feiyan-1” was more than an achievement in technology. It shows that young people can achieve amazing things when given the chance to follow their dreams.
In an interview, Wang Yuning explained the meaning behind the rocket’s name. He said, “The rocket is like a swallow (燕子) that flies high in the air. And the swallow is a symbol of teenagers.” This project will encourage teenagers to get excited about science, technology, engineering, math and even build their own rockets someday!

Dark matter (暗物质) is found everywhere in the universe. However, no matter how hard you look for it, you’ll never see it. It doesn’t reflect or produce light, so human eyes and most scientific instruments can’t find it. This makes it very hard to study.
Why is it very important? Studies show that common matter makes up only a small part of the universe we know. It includes you your dog, the earth, the sun, stars, and planets. But dark matter in the universe is five times as much as common matter.
Scientists discover dark matter the same way they find other things we can’t see—by watching how they influence things we can see. Think of the wind: we can’t see it, but we know it’s there by watching trees. Dark matter has gravity (引力). It’s like common matter, which can attract (吸引) everything around it.
Recently, some scientists have created maps of dark matter. To make these maps, they watch light coming from the universe. One group has watched the sky for nine years. By studying how the light changed directions when it traveled through space, scientists could map where dark matter was and what shape it had.
One of the new maps shows an area of dark matter. To our eyes, this area is more than 600 times the size of the full moon in the sky. But that’s just the beginning: The scientists plan to do further studies to better understand more groups of dark matter and hope to study the whole sky in 10 years or so.
根据短文内容,判断下列句子正 (T)、误 (F)。
41. Human eyes can’t see dark matter because it doesn’t reflect or produce light.
42. Studies show that common matter in the universe is five times as much as dark matter.
43. Scientists discover dark matter by watching how it influences things we can see.
44. A group of scientists has watched the sky for nineteen years to make dark matter maps.
45 Some scientists plan to study more dark matter groups and hope to study the whole sky.

Recently, a cartoon called Nobody came to theaters in China. It tells a story about four little monsters (妖怪) who live on Langlang Mountain.
The story begins when the little pig monster has made the monster king angry by accident. To stay away from danger, he and his three monster friends run away by dressing up as famous characters from Journey to the West. Then, they go on a funny and exciting trip.
Along their journey, the four friends face a lot of challenges. They make silly mistakes, fight bad monsters, and help villagers out of trouble. Through these experiences, they learn important lessons about friendship, bravery (勇敢), and find out who they really are.
This cartoon is especially beautiful because the director used traditional Chinese painting style mixed with bright modern colors. It took over two years to make the cartoon, with more than 600 animators (动画师) working together to create 1800 cartoon scenes and over 2000 background paintings.
The cartoon is popular with people of different ages. During the first ten days in theaters, it made over 600 million yuan and received a high score of 8.6 on Douban. There are now over 400 different kinds of products about the movie, including toys, school things, and even special drinks.
This cartoon mixes Chinese folk tales with modern humor, making it both fun and meaningful. It teaches us that we don’t need to have strong power to do important things. Most importantly, knowing right from wrong and acting bravely can help overcome challenges.

It includes you, your dog, the earth, the sun, stars, and planets.

【答案】
例文
A Person Who Knows Me Best
The person who knows me best is my mother. She always understands my feelings without words. Once, when I failed a math exam, I hid in my room sadly. Instead of scolding me, she brought my favorite cake and said, "Next time will be better." Her encouragement made me feel warm and confident.
This experience taught me that true understanding is more powerful than criticism. I now try to support others like she does.
