I walked into class believing that writing is important as a means of communication. However, my students demonstrated something more important to me. When the final bell rang in June, I walked away with a yearbook full of messages about writing’s most powerful significance — the ability to connect people, to put us in another’s skin, to teach us what it means to be human.
27. What does the author’s experience show?
A. Teaching is learning. B. Still waters run deep.
C. Knowledge is power. D. Practice makes perfect.

But things were different for their first essay, which was about the question: “Why is writing important?” Most of the essays filled less than one page, and few contained a sentence that could be interpreted as a thesis (论点) statement. I was shocked. Then I realized that the problem was the question itself. They could have written pages on the necessity of computers, but writing, in and of itself, simply didn’t strike them as important. This would have to change.
25. Why did the students perform poorly in writing their first essay?
A. They were not given enough time. B. They had a very limited vocabulary.
C. They misunderstood the question. D. They had little interest in the topic.
Life on city streets started to change decades ago. Whole neighbourhoods were destroyed to make way for new road networks and kids had to play elsewhere. Some communities fought back. Most famously, a Canadian journalist who had moved her family to Manhattan in the early 1950s led a campaign to stop the destruction of her local park. Describing her alarm at its proposed replacement with an expressway, Jane Jacobs called on her mayor (市长) to champion “New York as a decent place to live, and not just rush through.” Similar campaigns occurred in Australia in the late 1960s and 1970s as well.
Although these campaigns were widespread, the reality is that the majority of the western cities were completely redesigned around the needs of the motor car. The number of cars on roads has been increasing rapidly. In Australia we now have over twenty million cars for just over twenty-six million people, among the highest rate of car ownership in the world.
30. What can be inferred about the campaigns in Australia in the late 1960s and 1970s?
A. They boosted the sales of cars. B. They turned out largely ineffective.
C. They won government support. D. They advocated building new parks.
4. (2025年新高考二卷·阅读理解D32;2.5分)Does your soul die a little every time you throw away unused food? Mine does. Maybe that feeling comes from growing up in South Africa, where the phrase “there are children starving in Africa” was more of an uncomfortable reminder of fact than a prayer at dinner time.
32. What can be inferred about the author’s early life?
A. He witnessed food shortage. B. He enjoyed the local cuisine.
C. He donated food to Africans. D. He helped to cook at home.
5. (2025年新高考二卷·阅读理解D35;2.5分)Though wastED received enthusiastic reviews, it was designed from the start as a short-lived experiment; Blue Hill has since returned to its regular menu. Nevertheless, it serves as a reminder that there are many ways to address problems of sustainability, and that you can make an amazing meal out of almost anything.
35. What can we learn about wastED?
A. It has ended as planned. B. It is creating new jobs.
C. It has regained popularity. D. It is criticized by top chefs.
1. What can be inferred about the ......?
2.What can be inferred about ......from the last paragraph?
3.What can we learn from ......?

1.(2026·江苏省扬州市七校月考)After finishing his training, John started his own workshop. His days are now spent bringing damaged and aging furniture back to its former glory. The work is challenging, requiring careful analysis and a steady hand. However, the greatest reward comes from the emotional connection he builds with his clients. Often, they bring items of great emotional value — a grandmother’s favorite chair or a table around which a family has gathered for decades. Seeing their joyful reactions upon seeing a cherished piece restored is, for John, the most satisfying part of his job.
What can we infer from Paragraph 3 about John’s work?
A.It mainly focuses on repairing expensive furniture
B.The emotional satisfaction outweighs the technical challenges
C.Clients often complain about the high cost of restoration
D.It requires little skill but much patience
2.(2026·湖南省湖南师范大学附属中学月考五))Two years ago, she felt trapped by endless housework and an unhappy marriage. She was desperate for an escape. The turning point came in March 2023 at a live show of a female comedian where, during audience interaction, Fang humorously introduced herself as “the director of the information center” in her village. Fang’s quick-witted, humorous answer stole the show, and the clip later went viral online.
Impressed, the comedian invited Fang to join a comedy training session, and even got Fang’s travel, accommodation, and training expenses covered. That marked the beginning of Fang’s journey into becoming a stand-up comedian. Stand-up became her-emotional release, giving her the courage to leave her 30-year marriage. In her debut-on the comedy competition, Fang delivered a hilarious yet touching set about how the stand-up comedy empowered her to divorce her husband and build a new life with her two daughters.
What can be inferred about Fang’s comedy training?
A.It was funded by her family. B.It required years to complete.
C.It came after her viral moment. D.It focused on basic writing skills.
Crucially, this process relies on the water containing enough calcium carbonate (碳酸钙) to trap the plastics. In the study, boiling hard water containing 300 milligrams of calcium carbonate led to an almost 90 percent drop in plastics. But in samples with less than 60 milligrams of calcium carbonate, boiling reduced the level of plastics by just 25 percent. Additionally, the research didn’t include all types of plastics. The team focused only on three common types — polystyrene, polyethylene and polypropylene — and they didn’t study other chemicals previously found in water such as vinyl chloride.
Still, the findings show a potential path forward for reducing microplastic exposure — a task that’s becoming increasingly difficult. Even bottled water, scientists found earlier this year, contains 10 to 1,000 times more microplastics than originally thought.
34. What does the author try to illustrate by mentioning bottled water in paragraph 4?
A. The importance of plastic recycling. B. The severity of the microplastic problem.
C. The danger in overusing pure water. D. The difficulty in treating polluted water.

Farber is certain that the holistic approach will grow more popular with time, and if the past is any indication, he may be right: Since 1982, membership in the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association has grown from 30 to over 700. “Sometimes it surprises me that it works so well,” he says. “I will do anything to help an animal. That’s my job.”
27. Why does the author mention the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association?
A. To prove Farber’s point. B. To emphasize its importance.
C. To praise veterinarians. D. To advocate animal protection.

Reading Art: Art for Book Lovers is a celebration of an everyday object—the book, represented here in almost three hundred artworks from museums around the world. The image of the reader appears throughout history, in art made long before books as we now know them came into being. In artists’ representations of books and reading, we see moments of shared humanity that go beyond culture and time.
In this “book of books”, artworks are selected and arranged in a way that emphasizes these connections between different eras and cultures. We see scenes of children learning to read at home or at school, with the book as a focus for relations between the generations. Adults are portrayed (描绘) alone in many settings and poses—absorbed in a volume, deep in thought or lost in a moment of leisure. These scenes may have been painted hundreds of years ago, but they record moments we can all relate to.
Books themselves may be used symbolically in paintings to demonstrate the intellect (才智), wealth or faith of the subject. Before the wide use of the printing press, books were treasured objects and could be works of art in their own right. More recently, as books have become inexpensive or even throwaway, artists have used them as the raw material for artworks—transforming covers, pages or even complete volumes into paintings and sculptures.
Continued developments in communication technologies were once believed to make the printed page outdated. From a 21st-century point of view, the printed book is certainly ancient, but it remains as interactive as any battery-powered e-reader. To serve its function, a book must be activated by a user: the cover opened, the pages parted, the contents reviewed, perhaps notes written down or words underlined. And in contrast to our increasingly networked lives where the information we consume is monitored and tracked, a printed book still offers the chance of a wholly private, “off-line” activity.
( )31.What does the author want to say by mentioning the e-reader?
A. The printed book is not totally out of date.
B. Technology has changed the way we read.
C. Our lives in the 21st century are networked.
D. People now rarely have the patience to read.

Like many Australians, Imogen Szegedi and her parents are having tricky discussions about money and the cost of living.
Since graduating from high school last year, the 18-year-old has started working 30 hours a week and balances her job with sports and a busy social life. As she makes more money, one question that keeps coming up is whether she should pay to stay in the family home in South Australia’s Mount Barker. “Some of my friends pay board like $50 a week,” Imogen says.
Her dad John says the discussion is ongoing, but they have found “middle ground”. “The deal is that if she’s not paying board, she needs to be responsible for other things,” he says. “That might be taking her brother to school and sharing household expenses.”
Such agreements come at a financial cost to families, and in some cases parents might need their kids to contribute to family spending.
The number of young people living with their parents is slowly increasing across Australia. 54% of men and 47% of women aged 18 to 29 still live under the same roof with their families, according to the latest report in Australia. The high cost of living, the shortage of affordable housing and longer time spent in higher education may account for this situation.
What is the author’s purpose in writing paragraph 5?
A.To explain an idea. B.To make a comparison.
C.To provide some advice. D.To add background information.
3.(2026·浙江省北斗星盟高三一模)Yvette Henry was in her kitchen fixing up dinner. So were all four of her kids. Then she remembered a TikTok video about “living room kids” and “bedroom kids,” and realized she and her husband had built a home dynamic where their children felt emotionally safe in shared spaces.
A living room kid refers to a child who spends much of their home time in shared spaces such as the living room, kitchen or dining room. A bedroom kid refers to a child who spends most of their free time in the privacy of their bedroom. If you’re a parent, pay attention to your children’s needs and what rooms they prefer. There’s nothing wrong with either.
Why is Yvette Henry’s story mentioned in the first paragraph?
A.To present a parenting concept.
B.To criticize a common family problem.
C.To introduce a popular social media platform.
D.To highlight the importance of family harmony.

In a follow-up study with 100 university students, the researchers tried to get a better sense of what the group members actually did in their discussion. Did they tend to go with those most confident about their estimates? Did they follow those least willing to change their minds? This happened some of the time, but it wasn’t the dominant response. Most frequently, the groups reported that they “shared arguments and reasoned together.”Somehow, these arguments and reasoning resulted in a global reduction in error. Although the studies led by Navajas have limitations and many questions remain, the potential implications for group discussion and decision-making are enormous.

Scientific evidence now supports what these farmers have long understood. A recent study in Nature Communications Earth & Environment found that over half of the recognised Afro-descendant lands lie within the most biologically rich regions on Earth. In Ecuador, the figure reaches an astonishing 99%. Forest loss within these territories is 29% lower than in state-protected areas and 55% lower than in their surroundings — evidence that traditional cultivation can be one of nature’s most effective friends.
The roots of this knowledge reach back to the 1500s, when Africans carried their farming wisdom across the Atlantic. Once in the Americas, they combined African and local crops — beans, rice, peas, and others — to create sustainable gardens. By imitating (模仿) the forest’s diversity to survive unseen, they unknowingly built a lasting model of coexistence with nature.
Today, surrounded by endless sugar fields, only a few old family farms are left. Yet inside them, scientists keep finding hundreds of kinds of plants and insects — a living sign of strength and new life. “Food forests,” González says, “are everything. They are life itself, wherever they grow.”

A.Critical. B.Doubtful. C.Appreciative. D.Uncaring.

Turning soil, pulling weeds, and harvesting cabbage sound like tough work for middle and high school kids. And at first it is, says Abby Jaramillo, who with another teacher started Urban Sprouts, a school garden programme at four low-income schools. The programme aims to help students develop science skills, environmental awareness, and healthy lifestyles.
Jaramillo’s students live in neighbourhoods where fresh food and green space are not easy to find and fast food restaurants outnumber grocery stores. “The kids literally come to school with bags of snacks and large bottles of soft drinks,” she says. “They come to us thinking vegetables are awful, dirt is awful, insects are awful.” Though some are initially scared of the insects and turned off by the dirt, most are eager to try something new.
Urban Sprouts’ classes, at two middle schools and two high schools, include hands-on experiments such as soil testing, flower-and-seed dissection, tastings of fresh or dried produce, and work in the garden. Several times a year, students cook the vegetables they grow, and they occasionally make salads for their entire schools.
Programme evaluations show that kids eat more vegetables as a result of the classes.“We have students who say they went home and talked to their parents and now they’re eating differently,” Jaramillo says.
She adds that the programme’s benefits go beyond nutrition. Some students get so interested in gardening that they bring home seeds to start their own vegetable gardens. Besides, working in the garden seems to have a calming effect on Jaramillo’s special education students, many of whom have emotional control issues. “They get outside,” she says, “and they feel successful.”
( )26.Which of the following best describes the impact of the programme?
A. Far-reaching.
B. Predictable.
C. Short-lived.
D. Unidentifiable.

If you want to tell the history of the whole world, a history that does not privilege one part of humanity, you cannot do it through texts alone, because only some of the world has ever had texts, while most of the world, for most of the time, has not. Writing is one of humanity’s later achievements, and until fairly recently even many literate(有文字的) societies recorded their concerns not only in writing but in things.
Ideally a history would bring together texts and objects, and some chapters of this book are able to do just that, but in many cases we simply can’t. The clearest example of this between literate and non-literate history is perhaps the first conflict, at Botany Bay, between Captain Cook’s voyage and the Australian Aboriginals. From the English side, we have scientific reports and the captain’s record of that terrible day. From the Australian side, we have only a wooden shield(盾) dropped by a man in flight after his first experience of gunshot. If we want to reconstruct what was actually going on that day, the shield must be questioned and interpreted as deeply and strictly as the written reports.
In addition to the problem of miscomprehension from both sides, there are victories accidentally or deliberately twisted, especially when only the victors know how to write. Those who are on the losing side often have only their things to tell their stories. The Caribbean Taino, the Australian Aboriginals, the African people of Benin and the Incas, all of whom appear in this book, can speak to us now of their past achievements most powerfully through the objects they made: a history told through things gives them back a voice. When we consider contact (联系) between literate and non-literate societies such as these, all our first-hand accounts are necessarily twisted, only one half of a dialogue. If we are to find the other half of that conversation, we have to read not just the texts, but the objects.
( )35.Which of the following books is the text most likely selected from?
A. How Maps Tell Stories of the World.
B. A Short History of Australia.
C. A History of the World in 100 Objects.
D. How Art Works Tell Stories.

Where is the text probably taken from?
A.A medical textbook. B.A personal blog post.
C.A product advertisement. D.A science news report.
For the last 20 years, Cynthia Rosenzweig has been trying to answer a very big question: How will Earth’s warming climate affect humanity’s ability to feed itself?
The question came to her almost by accident in the 1980s when she found a job at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies(GISS), analyzing pictures that satellites had taken of farmers’ fields.
At that time, few had heard of the greenhouse effect. But several floors above her, other GISS scientists were working on the issue full time. They were creating some of the first computer models to predict CO₂ in the atmosphere. And one day, a question occurred to them: How would it affect crops?
Rosenzweig turned for answers to another family of models which were created to predict how a crop will grow and how much grain it will produce under particular environmental conditions.
“What the so-called crop models are actually doing is marching through crop growth, day by day, to see how much carbohydrate(碳水化合物) can be produced with the available solar energy and water under the minimum and maximum temperatures,” Rosenzweig recalls.
Her conclusion? Well, it’s complicated.
“For the next few decades, climate change probably won’t cause a huge change in the total amount of food in the world,” says Rosenzweig. “But there will be winners and losers. Some countries are likely to grow more food, partly because rising temperatures will lengthen the growing season there. In tropical areas, it’s a negative pressure right away. There are two reasons for this. First, places like India, Pakistan and parts of Africa are expected to get less rain and experience more frequent droughts. Second, while crops need warmth, too much of it is harmful for their development. And in the long term, if the globe continues to heat up, even the most optimistic computer models show worsening conditions across the world.”
But Siwa Msangi, an economist at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, refuses to be pessimistic. “People are learning how to send less heat-trapping gas into the air and, possibly, how to create a world where people everywhere can get enough to eat,” she says.
Where is the text most probably taken from?
A.A news report. B.Cynthia Rosenzweig’s online profile.
C.A GISS document. D.A review of Cynthia Rosenzweig’s article.
What comes into your mind when you think of British food? Probably fish and chips, or a Sunday dinner of meat and two vegetables. But is British food really so uninteresting? Even though Britain has a reputation for less-than-impressive cuisine, it is producing more top class chefs who appear frequently on our television screens and whose recipe books frequently top the best seller lists.
It’s thanks to these TV chefs rather than any advertising campaign that Britons are turning away from meat-and-two-veg and ready-made meals and becoming more adventurous in their cooking habits. It is recently reported that the number of those sticking to a traditional diet is slowly declining and around half of Britain’s consumers would like to change or improve their cooking in some way. There has been a rise in the number of students applying for food courses at UK universities and colleges. It seems that TV programmes have helped change what people think about cooking.
According to a new study from market analysts, 1 in 5 Britons say that watching cookery programmes on TV has encouraged them to try different food. Almost one third say they now use a wider variety of ingredients(配料) than they used to, and just under 1 in 4 say they now buy better quality ingredients than before. One in four adults say that TV chefs have made them much more confident about expanding their cookery knowledge and skills, and young people are also getting more interested in cooking. The UK's obsession(痴迷) with food is reflected through television scheduling. Cookery shows and documentaries about food are broadcast more often than before. With an increasing number of male chefs on TV, it’s no longer “uncool” for boys to like cooking.
( )31.What might the author continue talking about?
A. The art of cooking in other countries.
B. Male chefs on TV programmes.
C. Table manners in the UK.
D. Studies of big eaters.

1.(2026·河南省湘豫联考)From their remains it becomes possible to piece together certain facts about ancient societies on the tip of civilization. First, it is clear that the earliest settlements already had significant social divisions. Hunter-gatherer societies have very few social divisions. All members of the group are roughly equal in social power. One of the features of civilization is the increasing complexity of social divisions, and with them, of social grade. In Catal Huyuk, tombs (坟墓) have revealed that some people were buried with jewelry and wealth, while others were buried with practically nothing. It is very clear that even at such an ancient time, there were already major divisions between rich and poor.
What would the text discuss about next?

We have been busy working on some exciting changes to our free collection displays at Tate Britain. Discover new stories and voices alongside much-loved familiar favourites.
Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose by John Singer Sargent
In Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose (1885) John Singer Sargent paints two children from life as they light Chinese lanterns in a garden of flowers on a twilit summer evening. It took almost a year to finish, probably because he could only paint for a few minutes every evening when the light was exactly right.
Ophelia by Sir John Everett Millais, Baronet
Ophelia (1851) is a visitor favourite, our top-selling postcard and one of the most popular Pre-Raphaelite works in Tate's collection. Millais painted the tragic death of Shakespeare's Ophelia in painstaking detail over many months. Artist, poet and model Elizabeth Siddal posed for the painting, wearing a wedding dress in a bathtub of water in Millais's studio.
Norham Castle, Sunrise by JMW Turner
Norham Castle, Sunrise (1845) is an unfinished painting created late in JMW Turner's career. Turner saw the castle during his first tour of Northern Britain and painted the scene many times in his life.
Dreams Have No Titles by Zineb Sedira
Dreams Have No Titles (2022) is a film combining the artist’s life story with fiction and documentary and using non-professional actors.
(北京西城模拟)Plants, and the insects which rely on them, are the living foundations of our planet. But these foundations are under stress because we have a tendency to replace fields and forests with decorative trees and shrubs imported from around the world. Adding to the problem, our obsession (痴迷) with perfection leads us to use a lot of pesticides (杀虫剂).
These actions are part of the reason global biodiversity is crashing. There are over three billion fewer wild birds in North America than there were in 1970. Recent research shows that insect numbers, even in nature reserves, have fallen, and 40 percent of all insect species may be extinct within a few decades. This is discouraging news; however, there are actions we can take to help bring at least some species back.
The first step is to redefine our concept of “garden” to include more than just plants. We need to intentionally share our space, and not just with the birds, bees and butterflies that visit our flowers, but also with the little insects that may eat a part (very rarely all) of our plants. Therefore, we must limit pesticide use. It’s crucial to support nature’s recovery, and it’s much better for everyone: no doctor has ever recommended long-term exposure to pesticides.
Many drought-tolerant plants brought in from across the planet are being passed off as ecofriendly. However, mostly they’re not. Yes, you’re saving water, but these foreign plants can become disasters when they escape our yards. Helping the environment can be about more than saving water. Even in drier areas, like the American West, the selection of attractive native plants to choose from is vast. If dry is your style, there are native wildflowers, flowering bushes and trees that allow you to save water and nature.
Xeriscapes (节水型园艺) leave many gardeners thirsting for green, and there’s an important alternative that has been largely ignored. For those disenchanted with dry landscaping, using underappreciated and water-loving native plants to make your garden a real-life oasis (绿洲) could be lifesaving to wildlife. In nature, this unsung group of native plants is limited to riparian zones, the narrow belts of green along water bodies, but if consumers demand them, nurseries will increasingly carry these riparian species, and the presence of such plants in the garden will provide for many animals including not just butterflies and their relatives but also colorful birds.
The ideal garden would offer a combination of drought-tolerant native plants and a few species that need a little more water, providing options for little guests and the bigger ones that will come to eat them. As more creatures stop by to share our yards, we will be making nature, and us all, a little healthier.
Which of the following shows the development of ideas in the passage?
CP: Central Point P: Point Sp: Sub-point C: Conclusion

(1)How is the passage organized?
(2)Which of the following best shows the structure/organization of the passage?
(3)What will the author most probably talk about next?
(4)The author develops the passage mainly by _________.
(5)The first paragraph serves as a(n) __________.
(6)The example of … is given to show/illustrate that__________.
Put forward a question →Analyze the question → Solve the question 即“提出问题、分析问题、解决问题”的过程;Argument/idea → Evidence → conclusion/ restating the idea 即“由论点到论据到结论或者强调论点”的过程。
第一类,“提出论点——分论点一——分论点二——分论点三……——结论”;
第二类,“引入段——导出论点——分点论述——结论”;
第三类,“提出问题——分析问题——解决问题”;
It’s summertime. That means long hot days, no school--- and summer camps. Lots of kids spend at least some of the summer at camps. Some kids spend the whole year playing one sport. And what do they do during the summer? They go to a camp and keep playing that sport. So what’s wrong with that?
A study published in the journal Sports Health found that “for most sports, there is no evidence that intense (集中的) training and playing one sport before 13 or 14 are necessary to achieve elite (精英的)status.” How big is the risk of injury if you specialize in one sport? A Loyola University Chicago study of 1, 200 youth athletes found that kids who specialized in one sport were 70 percent to 93 percent more likely to be injured than multi-sport athletes. That’s a lot. Kids who specialize in one sport also get burned out. An Ohio State University study found that kids who played a single sport were more likely to quit their sport and be physically inactive as adults.
But don’t you have to specialize in one sport when you’re a kid to have a chance to play in college or be a professional? No! Sorry, but I have to talk about another study. This one was a survey of college athletes by the American Society of Sports Medicine. The study found that 88 percent of college athletes played more than one sport when they were kids.
Look at this year’s National Football League (NFL) draft, 26 of the 31 first- round picks, including Jared Goff, the player drafted ahead of all the others, had been multi-sport athletes in high school, according to Tracking Football. It wasn’t just the first round: 224 of the 256 draft picks had played more than one sport in high school. More than a third of the drafted players were three-sport athletes.
So if you are a year-round baseball kid, try soccer this summer. It will get you into great shape and help you move your feet in the field. Or if you’re a soccer kid, try tennis or rock climbing. Have some fun, and try something new. It’s summertime.
Which of the following shows the structure of the text? (P---paragraph )
A. B.
C. D.

When the final bell rang in June, I walked away with a yearbook full of messages about writing’s most powerful significance — the ability to connect people, to put us in another’s skin, to teach us what it means to be human. 故选A。
根据第二段中“Most of the essays filled less than one page, and few contained a sentence that could be interpreted as a thesis (论点) statement. I was shocked. 3. (2025年新高考一卷·阅读理解C30;2.5分)
根据文章倒数第二段“Although these campaigns were widespread, the reality is that the majority of the western cities were completely redesigned around the needs of the motor car. The number of cars on roads has been increasing rapidly. (尽管这些运动很普遍,但现实是大多数西方城市完全围绕汽车需求重新设计。道路上的汽车数量一直在迅速增加)”可推知,20世纪60年代末和70年代澳大利亚的竞选活动未能阻止汽车发展,基本上没有效果。故选B。

根据第四段的“Still, the findings show a potential path forward for reducing microplastic exposure — a task that’s becoming increasingly diffcult. 3.(2023•新高考全国Ⅱ卷·阅读理解C31)

【答案】D

What is the author’s attitude towards food forests?
A.Critical. B.Doubtful. C.Appreciative. D.Uncaring.
根据第三段“Forest loss within these territories is 29% lower than in state-protected areas and 55% lower than in their surroundings — evidence that traditional cultivation can be one of nature’s most effective friends.(这些区域的森林消失率,比国家保护区低29%,比周边区域低55%——这一事实证明,传统耕作模式可以成为助力自然保护的绝佳方式之一)”以及最后一段“Yet inside them, scientists keep finding hundreds of kinds of plants and insects — a living sign of strength and new life.
【答案】A
根据最后一段中“…the programme’s benefits go beyond nutrition. Some students get so interested in gardening that they bring home seeds to start their own vegetable gardens. Besides, working in the garden seems to have a calming effect on Jaramillo’s special education students…” 故选A项。

( )28.Where is the text most probably taken from?
A. An introduction to a book.
B. An essay on the art of writing.
C.A guidebook to a museum.
D.A review of modern paintings.
【答案】A
根据第一段中“Reading Art: Art for Book Lovers is a celebration of an everyday object—the book, represented here in almost three hundred artworks from museums around the world.”(《阅读艺术:书籍爱好者的艺术》是对一种日常物品——书籍的颂扬,在这本书中,书籍被来自世界各地博物馆的近三百件艺术品展示。) 故选A项。

根据文章第二段中的“Ideally a history would bring together texts and objects, and some chapters of this book are able to do just that…”和最后一段中“The Caribbean Taino, the Australian Aboriginals, the African people of Benin and the Incas, all of whom appear in this book, can speak to us now of their past achievements most powerfully through the objects they made…”

【答案】A
故选A项。
根据文章尾句“With an increasing number of male chefs on TV, its no longer ‘uncool’ for boys to like cooking.”

Sedira, her parents, son and friends all appear in this film about community and connection. It was made during the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence from French occupation.

第一类,“提出论点——分论点一——分论点二——分论点三……——结论”;
第二类,“引入段——导出论点——分点论述——结论”;
第三类,“提出问题——分析问题——解决问题”;
A. B.
C. D.
