Dodos were special birds that lived a long time ago, but now they are extinct and we can only see them in museums.
Dodos lived on an island in the Indian Ocean. In the old days, they had a happy life: there was plenty of food to eat, and all other animals were friendly to them. However, in 1598, humans arrived on the island. They cut down the trees, hunted the dodos because they were slow and couldn’t fly, and their pigs, cats and dogs ate the dodos’ eggs. As a result, dodos soon died out.
The story of dodos makes us sad. We must learn from it and try our best to protect animals. We should not cut down too many trees or hunt wild animals, because every animal is important to our earth.
Dodos are one of the most famous extinct animals in the world, and their story teaches us a big lesson about protecting nature.
Dodos lived on an island in the Indian Ocean hundreds of years ago. They had a peaceful and safe life there: the island had plenty of food for them to eat, and there were no dangerous animals around. All the other animals on the island were friendly, so dodos lived happily every day. But everything changed when humans came to the island in 1598. Humans cut down a lot of trees, so the dodos lost their homes. They also hunted dodos because the birds were slow and couldn’t fly away. What’s worse, the pigs, cats and dogs that humans brought with them ate the dodos’ eggs. Soon, there were fewer and fewer dodos, and at last, they died out completely.
