My favourite hobby

Different people have different hobbies. Some like listening to music, while some like doing sports. For me, I like reading best.

I began to read in my spare time when I was a little girl. At the beginning, I read storybooks. But now I enjoy reading novels, because there are lots of interesting stories. When I am unhappy, reading can make me happy again. I often go to the school library to borrow books and sometimes I buy some books from the bookstore. It takes me about an hour to read books every day. I read books during the break, after school or before I go to bed.

I think reading is a part of my life. Reading not only brings me a lot of knowledge but also is good for my health.

My Family

There are four people in my family. They are my parents, my brother and me.

My father is a 40-year-old doctor. He is kind to his patients and he always tries his best to help people in need. In his free time, he likes playing basketball. My mother is 39 years old. She teaches Chinese in a primary school. When she has time, she likes to paint. My brother is six. He is in Grade One. He enjoys playing Chinese chess. I'm thirteen and I study in a middle school. Reading is my hobby, so I joined the Reading Club.

I'm happy to live with my family and I want to say "I love you" to them.

Save the wild animals

Wild animals are our friends, but now many of them are in danger. Here are the reasons. People hunt them for meat or fur. Some people cut down too many trees. This means some wild animals have little food to eat and their homes are getting smaller. Dirty water or plastic rubbish also hurts them.

Wild animals need our help right now. First, we must stop hunting them and cutting down trees. Second, we should build more nature parks to protect their living places. Finally, we should learn more about wild animals and tell people around use to protect them.
