My name is Grace Collins, and I’m excited to share my experiences with you tonight. For the past ten years, I’ve worked to protect and restore natural ecosystems, particularly in a small island nation in the Pacific. One of my proudest projects was creating a community program where local fishermen could work together to monitor and protect the environment. These partnerships have shown me that successful conservation isn’t just about using the latest tools or technologies. It’s about building trust, respecting local traditions, and finding ways to solve problems together. I’ve learned so much from the people I’ve worked with, and their knowledge has been key to bringing real change. Later in my talk, I’ll introduce some new techniques we’ve recently developed to help speed up restoration efforts, but first, I’d like to tell you more about the work we did and what we learned along the way. After my presentation, I’d be happy to take any questions. A Here are four student podcasts (播客) that offer a glimpse into the minds of students and what they say about news concerning climate in their communities — and what they hope to do about it. Behind the Scenes of the Mosquito Fire In a 10-episode series, a sixth-grade class at the Georgetown School of Innovation in Georgetown, Calif., shares stories from the damaging Mosquito Fire in 2020. This group of eight students asks two firefighters from the Georgetown Fire Department what it’s like to fight fires and protect loved ones in their hometown. Fires: Set Ablaze At Chautauqua Elementary, the Vashon fifth-graders talk about the far-reaching and lasting impact of wildfires and wildfire smoke — and the direct effects on their lives, like waiting for the school bus on a smoky day. The students also interview experts and share their research on wildfire precautions Flowing Through Time In this podcast from Peak Academy, a group of eight middle schoolers reports on dealing with water shortages in Bozeman, Montana. They trace the history of their growing hometown’s water supply, which has been dependent on mountain snowmelt. As that source becomes less reliable in a warming world, the students turn to the grown-ups to ask what they can do to conserve water. Washed Away The deadly flooding in eastern Kentucky last year forever changed the lives of high schoolers Ryley Bowman, Carolina Johnson and Hunter Noble. The three classmates at Morgan County High School in West Liberty, Ky., share firsthand accounts of their own and their family’s experiences during the floods. 21.Who shows interest in firefighters’ stories? A.Peak Academy students. B.Chautauqua Elementary students. C.Morgan County High School students. D.Georgetown School of Innovation students. 22.Which podcast shows concern for water conservation? A.Washed Away. B.Fires: Set Ablaze. C.Flowing Through Time. D.Behind the Scenes of the Mosquito Fire. 23.What do Fires: Set Ablaze and Washed Away have in common? A.They consult experts’ research results. B.They explore the causes of climate change. C.They share students’ personal experiences. D.They discuss precautions for natural disasters. 根据文章第二段“In a 10-episode series, a sixth-grade class at the Georgetown School of Innovation in Georgetown, Calif., shares stories from the damaging Mosquito Fire in 2020. This group of eight students asks two firefighters from the Georgetown Fire Department what it’s like to fight fires and protect loved ones in their hometown.(在共10集的系列节目中,加州乔治城创新学校的六年级学生讲述了2020年破坏性极强的“蚊子山火”的经历。这个由八名学生组成的小组采访了乔治城消防局的两位消防员,了解他们在家乡抗击烈火、守护亲人的真实体验)”可知,Georgetown School of Innovation的学生对消防员的故事感兴趣。故选D。 22.细节理解题。根据“Flowing Through Time”部分中“In this podcast from Peak Academy, a group of eight middle schoolers reports on dealing with water shortages in Bozeman, Montana. They trace the history of their growing hometown’s water supply, which has been dependent on mountain snowmelt. As that source becomes less reliable in a warming world, the students turn to the grown-ups to ask what they can do to conserve water.(在这个来自Peak Academy的播客中,八个中学生报道了他们如何应对蒙大拿州博兹曼的水资源短缺。他们追溯了他们不断发展的家乡的供水历史,这个供水源依赖于山上的雪水融化。随着这个水源在全球变暖的世界中变得不可靠,学生们转向成年人,询问他们可以做些什么来节约水资源)可知,Flowing Through Time的播客关注水资源保护。故选C。 23.细节理解题。根据“Fires: Set Ablaze”部分中“At Chautauqua Elementary, the Vashon fifth-graders talk about the far-reaching and lasting impact of wildfires and wildfire smoke — and the direct effects on their lives, like waiting for the school bus on a smoky day.(在肖托夸小学,瓦松分校的五年级学生谈论野火和野火烟雾的深远而持久的影响,以及对他们生活的直接影响,如在烟雾弥漫的日子里等校车)”和“Washed Away”部分中“The deadly flooding in eastern Kentucky last year forever changed the lives of high schoolers Ryley Bowman, Carolina Johnson and Hunter Noble. The three classmates at Morgan County High School in West Liberty, Ky., share firsthand accounts of their own and their family’s experiences during the floods.(去年发生在肯塔基州东部的致命洪水永远地改变了高中生赖利·鲍曼、卡罗莱纳·约翰逊和亨特·诺布尔的生活。肯塔基州西自由市摩根县高中的三名同学分享了他们自己和家人在洪水中的亲身经历)可知,Fires: Set Ablaze和Washed Away共同之处是他们分享学生的个人经历。故选C。 B The great elephant stands in the hot African sun. Slowly the beast lifts its head and its thick trunk delicately curls around the leaves of a nearby tree, pulling out the leaves and politely slipping them into its mouth. The beast’s great gray skin is partly broken and aged from the African sun. Some mud drops on one side from its last trip to a nearby river. Its rough hair sticks out from all over its skin and two large, white tusks curve elegantly from either side of its mouth. Somewhere a lion roars and something else gives a loud high shout. A vulture (秃鹫) drifts over far above this world, barely a black dot in the sky. The buzzing of the countless bush insects seems to collectively shift up in high tune, almost like the whole of the savanna (热带草原) was singing some song that only they knew. I peer through the lens at this scene. The zoom lens shows almost every detail of the elephant: the three small cuts in its left ear from playing as a baby around thorn trees, the scar down its front leg where a lion caught it unaware as a young adult, and weathering on its great, valuable tusks from decades of living in this unforgiving grassland on a dusty continent. And then the elephant looks at me. It looks at me with those big, eyelashed eyes with a warmth coming outwards from a vast, hidden depth there. I can suddenly feel its soul, and feel the line of elephants that came before this one, trailing back to the very beginnings of this great savanna. We will never understand what wonders this ancient being and its kind have seen and whispered to each other across the ages on this old, sacred grassland. It looks at me, and it looks through me and sees me. The elephant knows I am there. It always did. It is not running away, nor is it fighting. It accepts and forgives. It loves. But, mostly, it just feels sad. It feels sorry for me. I cannot do this anymore. I take my eye off the sights and hand the gun back to my partner. “Let’s go home,” I said in a quiet voice, “let’s just go home.” 24.Which word can best describe the elephant in the first two paragraphs? A.Mysterious. B.Depressed. C.Aggressive. D.Graceful. 25.What does the shift in focus from the elephant to others imply in Paragraph 3? A.The elephant is about to be attacked. B.The author is losing interest in the elephant. C.The elephant is part of a larger and living world. D.The author wants to show the savanna’s dangers. 26.How does the author feel when seeing through the lens? A.He is deeply moved and filled with sympathy. B.He is overwhelmed by the elephant’s strength. C.He is annoyed at the presence of other animals. D.He is shocked and scared by the elephant’s scars. 27.What can we learn from the passage? A.Nature calms our anger. B.Nature purifies our souls. C.Nature heals our wounds. D.Nature enriches our imagination. 【答案】24.D 25.C 26.A 27.B 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章通过作者的猎人视角,描绘一头饱经风霜却优雅悲悯的非洲象,其凝视触发作者的良知觉醒,最终放弃猎杀。 24.推理判断题。根据第一段中“Slowly the beast lifts its head and its thick trunk delicately curls around the leaves of a nearby tree, pulling out the leaves and politely slipping them into its mouth. (这只野兽慢慢地抬起头,它粗壮的鼻子巧妙地卷曲在附近一棵树的叶子上,把叶子抽出来,礼貌地塞进嘴里。)”和第二段中“Its rough hair sticks out from all over its skin and two large, white tusks curve elegantly from either side of its mouth. (它粗糙的毛发从皮肤上伸出来,两根巨大的白色象牙从嘴的两侧优雅地弯曲着。)”可知,前两段通过细致动作和雅致的外貌展现大象的优雅。故选D项。 25.推理判断题。根据第三段“Somewhere a lion roars and something else gives a loud high shout. A vulture (秃鹫) drifts over far above this world, barely a black dot in the sky. The buzzing of the countless bush insects seems to collectively shift up in high tune, almost like the whole of the savanna (热带草原) was singing some song that only they knew. 根据第四段中“The zoom lens shows almost every detail of the elephant: the three small cuts in its left ear from playing as a baby around thorn trees, the scar down its front leg where a lion caught it unaware as a young adult, and weathering on its great, valuable tusks from decades of living in this unforgiving grassland on a dusty continent. (变焦镜头几乎展示了这头大象的每一个细节:它的左耳上有三个小伤口,这是它小时候在荆棘树下玩耍时留下的,它的前腿上有一个伤疤,那是它年轻时被狮子在不知道的情况下抓住的,它那又大又珍贵的象牙上有几十年生活在这片尘土飞扬的大陆上无情的草原上的风化。)”和第五段中“And then the elephant looks at me. It looks at me with those big, eyelashed eyes with a warmth coming outwards from a vast, hidden depth there. (然后大象看着我。它用那双长着睫毛的大眼睛看着我,从那巨大而隐蔽的深处发出一种温暖。)”可知,作者透过镜头看到大象的沧桑与灵性,他深受触动且充满同情。故选A项。 27.推理判断题。根据第六段中“It accepts and forgives. It loves. But, mostly, it just feels sad. It feels sorry for me. I cannot do this anymore. (它接受和原谅。它去爱。但最主要的是,它只是感到悲伤。它为我感到难过。我不能再这样下去了。)”和最后一段“I take my eye off the sights and hand the gun back to my partner. “Let’s go home,” I said in a quiet voice, “let’s just go home.” (我把视线从瞄准具上移开,把枪还给了我的搭档。“我们回家吧,”我轻声说,“我们就回家吧。”)”可知,大象的凝视使作者放下猎枪,选择离开,体现自然唤醒人性良知,即“自然净化心灵”。故选B项。 C Microplastic pollution has been detected in human blood for the first time, with scientists finding the tiny particles (微粒)in almost 80% of the people tested. The discovery shows the particles can travel around the body and may live in organs. The impact on health is as yet unknown. But researchers are concerned as microplastics cause damage to human cells in the laboratory and air pollution particles are already known to enter the body and cause millions of early deaths a year. Huge amounts of plastic waste are left in the environment and microplastics now pollute the entire planet, from the top of Mount Everest to the deepest oceans. People were already known to consume the tiny particles via food and water as well as breathing them in, and they have been found in the faeces (排泄物)of babies and adults. The scientists analysed blood samples from 22 healthy adults and found plastic particles in 17. Half the samples contained PET plastic, which is commonly used in drinks bottles, while a third contained polystyrene, used for packaging food and other products. A quarter of the blood samples contained polyethylene, from which plastic carrier bags are made. “Our study is the first indication that we have polymer particles (聚合物颗粒)in our blood — it’s a breakthrough result,” said Prof Dick Vethaak, an expert at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. “But we have to extend the research and increase the sample sizes, the number of polymers assessed, etc.” Further studies by a number of groups are already under way, he said. “It is certainly reasonable to be concerned,” Vethaak said. “The particles are there and are transported throughout the body.” He said previous work had shown that microplastics were 10 times higher in the faeces of babies compared with adults and that babies fed with plastic bottles are taking millions of microplastic particles a day. Vethaak acknowledged that the amount and type of plastic varied considerably between the blood samples. “But this is a pioneering study,” he said, with more work now needed. He said the differences might reflect short-term exposure before the blood samples were taken, such as drinking from a plastic-lined coffee cup, or wearing a plastic face mask. “The big question is what is happening in our body?” Vethaak said. “Are the particles retained in the body? Are they transported to certain organs, such as getting past the blood-brain barrier? And are these levels sufficiently high to cause disease? We urgently need to fund further research so we can find out.” 28.What can we learn about microplastics from Paragraph 4? A.They are found in most people. B.Polyethylene found in blood samples might be taken from drinks bottles. C.A quarter of the blood samples contained PET particles. D.Half of the microplastics in the blood samples were likely introduced by drinking from plastic containers. 29.According to Paragraph 5, what was Prof Dick Vethaak’s attitude towards their findings? A.Doubtful. B.Negative. C.Excited. D.Depressed. 30.The underlined part “this is a pioneering study” in Paragraph 6 probably means ________. A.we are the pioneers in the field of plastic research B.we need more blood samples and more work to do C.we are entering a whole new field of research D.this is an extremely important study 31.Which section of the newspaper may this article be found in? A.Political. B.Fashion. C.Food. D.Environment. 【答案】28.D 29.C 30.C 31.D 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章介绍了科学家首次在人类血液中检测到微塑料污染的研究成果,阐述了微塑料的来源、分布范围,以及该发现带来的健康隐患和后续需要深入研究的方向。 28.细节理解题。根据第四段中的“The scientists analysed blood samples from 22 healthy adults and found plastic particles in 17. Half the samples contained PET plastic, which is commonly used in drinks bottles, while a third contained polystyrene, used for packaging food and other products.(科学家分析了22名健康成年人的血液样本,在17份样本中发现了塑料颗粒。一半的样本中含有聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯塑料,这种塑料常用于饮料瓶,三分之一含有聚苯乙烯,用于包装食品和其他产品)”可推知,这些微塑料可能来自饮用塑料瓶装饮品。故选D项。 29.推理判断题。根据第五段中的““Our study is the first indication that we have polymer particles (聚合物颗粒)in our blood — it’s a breakthrough result,” said Prof Dick Vethaak, an expert at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands.(“我们的研究首次表明,人类血液中存在聚合物颗粒——这是一项突破性的成果,”荷兰阿姆斯特丹弗里杰大学的专家Dick Vethaak教授说)”可知,迪克・费萨克教授认为该研究成果具有突破性意义。 D Fifty years ago, the Clean Air Act in the U.S. followed the science and became a model for the world. Longtime residents of Los Angeles remember the days when the mountains around the city were hardly visible. But today, they stand out as a beautiful part of the city’s scenery. It’s not just a change in Southern California. Thanks to the Clean Air Act of 1970, air across the United States has become 77 percent cleaner — even as the population, the economy and the number of cars on the road have grown. That improvement has lengthened millions of lives, saved trillions of dollars, and made the country a global air pollution success story. The landmark law was a bipartisan (涉及两党的) achievement, winning unanimous (全体一致的) Senate approval and passing the House of Representatives with just one “no” vote. Its success comes from its focus on scientific evidence, accountability and health-based goals. “The Clean Air Act remains the most powerful public health law enacted in the 20th century in the United States,” said Paul Billings of the American Lung Association. One of the Act’s requirements was for carmakers to reduce tailpipe pollution by 90 percent. Today’s cars are 99 percent cleaner than those made before 1970. And all these came at a low cost. Researchers found that the law’s overall benefits are more than 40 times as great as its cost. That success shows that we can solve difficult problems like pollution when our leaders listen to science. That success is a reminder of how capable we are of cleaning up pollution, and of solving problems that seem intractable (难对付或难处理的), when our political leaders are prepared to act on scientific evidence. “But it’s still a work in progress,” said Mustafa Santiago Ali, a vice president of the National Wildlife Federation. “I hope we’ll come to a point in our history, sometime soon, where not only do we understand the value of the Act, but we’re willing to do the hard work of improving it.” 32.Why does the author mention the mountains in Los Angeles? A.To provide an example of the Act’s far-reaching impact. B.To attach great importance to the scenic beauty of the city. C.To compare Southern California with other parts of the U.S. D.To explain the geographical features of Southern California. 33.What can be inferred from the text? A.Carmakers failed to meet the law’s requirements. B.Environmental issues were not important fifty years ago. C.The Act slowed down America’s economic development. D.Protecting the environment can bring great value to society. 34.What does Mustafa Santiago Ali hope for the future of the Clean Air Act? A.The Clean Air Act should be made even stronger. B.People should stop using cars to reduce pollution. C.The Clean Air Act should be replaced by a new law. D.The government should spend more money on science. 35.What is the writing purpose of this text? A.To discuss the achievements of the Clean Air Act. B.To explain the way carmakers develop cleaner engines. C.To describe the geographical features of Los Angeles. D.To compare air pollution levels in different U.S. states. 【答案】32.A 33.D 34.A 35.A 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了美国《清洁空气法》实施五十年的显著成效、立法特点、效益成本比及未来改进的展望。 32.推理判断题。根据第一段中的“Longtime residents of Los Angeles remember the days when the mountains around the city were hardly visible. But today, they stand out as a beautiful part of the city’s scenery. It brings neighbors together to improve their living environment and build stronger relationships. From picking up litter in the park to brushing off graffiti on community walls, every small task becomes a bridge connecting people who might otherwise pass each other without a word. 36 First, organizing such an event requires careful planning. Local leaders or volunteers typically begin by selecting a date suitable for most people — often a weekend — to boost participation. 37 Local businesses may also be reached out to for supplies like gloves, trash bags, and cleaning tools, ensuring that everyone has the resources needed to contribute effectively. On the day of the event, participants gather at a central location, such as a park or community center. 38 After that, they are divided into groups to cover different areas — parks or streets. Working side by side, people chat about their lives, share stories, and get to know each other better while picking up litter and removing graffiti, turning a chore into a chance for connection. 39 Many find that seeing the immediate results of their efforts — cleaner streets, brighter public spaces, and a neighborhood that feels renewed — gives them a deep sense of pride. Kids who take part learn firsthand the importance of responsibility and caring for their surroundings, lessons that stay with them long after the day ends. Community Clean-up Day doesn’t end when the trash is collected. 40 It encourages ongoing efforts to keep the community clean, such as starting recycling programs or planting trees. In the end, it’s not just about a cleaner neighborhood, but a happier and more connected one. A.There organizers review the day’s goals and safety tips. B.Then posters are put up and emails sent out to spread the word. C.Some even plot ahead to make the day more competitive. D.Participants often feel a sense of achievement after the work. E.The success of the event depends on the number of volunteers. F.These shared efforts, though simple, promote a sense of belonging. G.It reminds everyone that maintaining a clean environment is a group effort. 【答案】36.F 37.B 38.A 39.D 40.G 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章详细介绍了“社区清洁日”的意义,阐述了其从活动组织、具体开展到后续影响的完整过程,强调了它不仅改善环境,更能促进邻里关系、培养归属感和责任感,是一项长效的社区建设活动。 36.上文“Community Clean-up Day is more than just a one-day event. It brings neighbors together to improve their living environment and build stronger relationships. From picking up litter in the park to brushing off graffiti on community walls, every small task becomes a bridge connecting people who might otherwise pass each other without a word.(社区清洁日不仅是一次单日活动,它更将邻里凝聚在一起,共同改善居住环境并建立更紧密的联系。从捡拾公园垃圾到粉刷清除社区墙上的涂鸦,每一件小事都成为一座桥梁,连接起那些平日里擦肩而过却可能一语不发的居民)”阐述了社区清洁日连接邻里、促进交流的作用。F选项“These shared efforts, though simple, promote a sense of belonging. (这些共同的努力,虽然简单,却促进了一种归属感)”对上文内容进行了总结和升华。“These shared efforts”指代上文中提到的“every small task”,而“promote a sense of belonging”则点明了这些共同行动带来的深层次社会效益——增强社区归属感,与上文的“build stronger relationships”相呼应。故选F项。 37.上文“Local leaders or volunteers typically begin by selecting a date suitable for most people — often a weekend — to boost participation. (当地领导或志愿者通常首先选择一个适合大多数人的日期——通常是周末——以提高参与度)”介绍了组织活动的第一步:选择日期。B选项“Then posters are put up and emails sent out to spread the word. (然后张贴海报并通过电子邮件发送信息以广而告之)”在时间顺序上承接上文,通过“Then”一词,表明在确定日期之后,接下来的组织步骤是宣传推广。句中“spread the word”与上文的“organizing such an event”在逻辑上紧密相连,都是活动策划的一部分。故选B项。 38.上文“On the day of the event, participants gather at a central location, such as a park or community center. (活动当天,参与者聚集在一个中心地点,例如公园或社区中心)”描述了活动开始时人们集合的场景。A选项“There organizers review the day’s goals and safety tips. (在那里,组织者重申当天的目标和安全提示)”承接上文,具体说明了到集合地点之后紧接着进行的环节,句中的“There”明确指代上文提到的“central location”。下文“After that, they are divided into groups to cover different areas... (之后,他们被分成小组去负责不同的区域……)”则表明,在讲解完目标和安全事项(A项内容)之后,活动才进入分组行动阶段,A选项是活动正式开始前的一个必要环节。故选A项。 39.下文“Many find that seeing the immediate results of their efforts — cleaner streets, brighter public spaces, and a neighborhood that feels renewed — gives them a deep sense of pride. Kids who take part learn firsthand the importance of responsibility and caring for their surroundings, lessons that stay with them long after the day ends. (许多人发现,看到他们努力的直接成果——更干净的街道、更明亮的公共空间以及感觉焕然一新的社区——给了他们深深的自豪感。参与的孩子们亲身学到了责任感和关爱周围环境的重要性,这些教训在活动结束很久后仍伴随着他们)”详细描述了参与者在活动后的积极感受和心理收获(自豪感、责任感等)。D选项“Participants often feel a sense of achievement after the work. (参与者们常常在工作后感受到一种成就感)”位于段首,作为本段的中心句,概括了下文要展开的核心内容:参与者的收获感,句中“a sense of achievement”与下文的“a deep sense of pride”以及“learn... the importance”在语义上高度一致。上下文形成“总括-分述”的关系。故选D项。 40.上文“Community Clean-up Day doesn’t end when the trash is collected. (社区清洁日并不会在垃圾被收集起来时就结束)”是一个承上启下的主题句,指出活动的意义具有延续性。G选项“It reminds everyone that maintaining a clean environment is a group effort. (它提醒每个人,维护清洁的环境需要集体努力)”解释了为什么活动不会真正结束:因为它传递了一个持久的信息——清洁环境是集体持续的责任,句中的“It”指代上文提到的“Community Clean-up Day”这一事件。同时下文“It encourages ongoing efforts to keep the community clean, such as starting recycling programs or planting trees. (它鼓励人们持续努力保持社区清洁,例如启动回收项目或植树)”则列举了这种“集体努力”和“持续责任”的具体表现方式,是对G选项的具体展开。故选G项。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Alison Teal was born to adventurous parents. It means a good natural environment (lucid waters, lush mountains) is as precious as gold and silver — eco-friendly development brings long-term benefits instead of short-term gains from damaging nature. For example, many villages now develop eco-tourism: they protect forests and rivers, and then attract visitors. Locals earn money by running inns or selling local products, while keeping the environment intact. It’s a win-win situation! Would you like me to share more examples of such villages? Yours sincerely, Li Hua 第二节(满分25分) 67.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 There is a busy street corner beside a bus station where kids change buses going to and from school. It’s not what you would call a pretty spot. There’s a lot of noisy traffic and the nearby buildings are gray and unloved. However, it has a patch (小地块) of beauty — a small garden plot called Pete’s Patch, because Pete created it in nine and a half minutes. Pete is one of the kids who, for nine and a half minutes each day, waited here to change buses. It wasn’t a fun or pleasant place to hang out. The station was noisy and full of bad smell. There was nowhere nice to walk and the patch of land next to the station was littered with trash. Maybe it had once been a garden, but now it was disgusting. Kids and adults had thrown their empty drink cans there, along with burger wrappings and fried-chicken boxes. No, it wasn’t a nice spot to spend nine and a half minutes of every school day when all you wanted to do was get home. But Pete was here. He didn’t have a choice. If he wanted to get home, this was the only way. He felt like he was wasting his life away. There was nothing to look at, nothing to occupy his mind or hands, and hanging around like that each day drove him crazy. He knew he couldn’t do anything to change the bus company’s timetable, but, he began to think, he might be able to make his nine and a half minutes more enjoyable for him and others. He asked Mom for some plastic trash bags and a pair of gardening gloves. That week, he put on the gloves and filled his nine and a half minutes each day by piling the trash into the bags. “Hey, man, are you crazy or something?” his schoolmates teased. “What difference will it make? Why waste your time?” They didn’t know that for Pete it was a bigger waste of time to sit doing nothing. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150个左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Pete simply smiled and continued picking up the trash, ignoring the teasing._________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Gradually, his classmates followed Pete’s example._____________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【参考答案】 Pete simply smiled and continued picking up the trash, ignoring the teasing. Each day, he arrived a little earlier to make the most of his nine and a half minutes. He sorted the trash into different bags and on the weekend he collected the bags and took them to the dump. With his great efforts, the once-disgusting patch started to look cleaner. Seeing the great change, the schoolmates who laughed at him shifted their attitude towards Pete’s behavior. Pete felt happy and proud for he was making the waiting time more pleasant. Gradually, his classmates followed Pete’s example. A girl named Lily brought a watering can. Then two boys started pulling weeds. Within weeks, as more students joined Pete, their boring waiting time became a gardening party. Some even bought flower seeds and carefully sowed them in the patch. The empty patch transformed into a colorful mini-garden. When spring came, the patch was covered with bright flowers that turned their nine-and-a-half-minute wait into the best part of everyone’s day. 1.Where are the speakers probably? The students also interview experts and share their research on wildfire precautions (预防措施). Flowing Through Time In this podcast from Peak Academy, a group of eight middle schoolers reports on dealing with water shortages in Bozeman, Montana. B The great elephant stands in the hot African sun. C Microplastic pollution has been detected in human blood for the first time, with scientists finding the tiny particles (微粒)in almost 80% of the people tested. D Fifty years ago, the Clean Air Act in the U.S. followed the science and became a model for the world. D.To compare air pollution levels in different U.S. states. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Community Clean-up Day is more than just a one-day event. 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Alison Teal was born to adventurous parents. The dolphins would catch them and play games. Over time, the dolphins learned to 48 Alison and would approach her freely. After university, Alison continued traveling. Her survival 49 earned her a spot on a TV show where she had to survive on a 50 island. While she succeeded, the plastic waste on the beach shocked her. This experience 51 changed her focus toward ocean protection. Back home, she saw dolphins playing with plastic instead of leaves. This made her more 52 to act. Now Alison shares her conservation 53 through talks and products. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Pete simply smiled and continued picking up the trash, ignoring the teasing._________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Gradually, his classmates followed Pete’s example._____________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 13 / 13 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $英语听力。请看。听力部分第一节,第一节听下面5段对话,每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的ABC3个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题,每段对话读。两遍。现在你有5秒钟的时间阅读第一小题的有关内容。Hi, I didn't expect to see you here. When I graduate next year, I hope to design buildings that can help the environment. And what design ideas do you have for that? The biggest one is heat. People spend lots of money heating their homes and offices, only for the heat is constantly losing. I want to make IT so that the homes keep the heat in for longer. About electricity, people use a lot of electricity too. I am looking at a mix of solar and wind power to generate electricity, but the technology needs to get Better. What else do you think could be improved in home design? How modern buildings use water? We waste a lot of water when IT could be cleaned. These sound like amazing ideas. For the past ten years, i've worked to protect and restore natural ecosystems, particularly in a small island nation in the pacific. One of my proud projects was creating a community program where local Fishermen could work together to monitor and protect the environment. These partnerships have shown me that successful conservation isn't just about using the latest tools or technologies, it's about building trust, respecting local traditions and finding ways to solve problems. Together, i've learned so much from the people i've worked with, and their knowledge has been key to bringing real change. Later in my talk, i'll introduce some new techniques we've recently developed to help speed up restoration efforts. But first, i'd like to tell you more about the work we did and what we learned along the way after my presentation. I'd be happy to take . any questions. Good evening. everyone. Yours sincerely, Li Hua 第二节 (满分25分) Pete simply smiled and continued picking up the trash, ignoring the teasing. 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 学科网(北京)股份有限公司1 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $………………○………………外………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… ………………○………………内………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… 此卷只装订不密封 ………………○………………内………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… ………………○………………外………………○………………装………………○………………订………………○………………线………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2025-2026学年高二英语选择性必修第三册单元自测(山东专用) Unit 3·培优卷 学校:___________班级:___________姓名:___________分数:___________ (时间:120分钟,满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1.Where are the speakers probably? The students also interview experts and share their research on wildfire precautions (预防措施). Flowing Through Time In this podcast from Peak Academy, a group of eight middle schoolers reports on dealing with water shortages in Bozeman, Montana. B The great elephant stands in the hot African sun. C Microplastic pollution has been detected in human blood for the first time, with scientists finding the tiny particles (微粒)in almost 80% of the people tested. D Fifty years ago, the Clean Air Act in the U.S. followed the science and became a model for the world. D.To compare air pollution levels in different U.S. states. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Community Clean-up Day is more than just a one-day event. 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Alison Teal was born to adventurous parents. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Pete simply smiled and continued picking up the trash, ignoring the teasing._________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Gradually, his classmates followed Pete’s example._____________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第11页(共8页) 试题 第12页(共8页) 试题 第13页(共8页) 试题 第14页(共8页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
