Unit 6 Section Ⅱ Using language 常见的结构有: have difficulty/trouble (in) doing sth be busy (in) doing sth spend some time (in) doing sth stop/prevent sb (from) doing sth ◆The heavy rain prevented him (from) arriving there on time. ◆The big fire lasted (for) two hours. ◆You may do it (in) your own way. ◆She didn't say anything for several hours. (1)After spending some time in looking at all the defensive equipment at the wall,we decided it was time for some action and what better than to ride on a piece of history! (2)There were plenty of empty seats on that night. (3)It was quite light and at any moment now the sun would rise. (4)I have some trouble in learning English, which makes me upset. 2. ◆He speaks English more fluently than you do. (2)在believe,expect,suppose,think和it appears/seems之后,表示同意前面说过的话时可以用so代替单词(形容词、副词)、词组或句子;表示对前面说过的话加以否定时,可以用not或not...so。 ◆—Can you finish your work today? —I think so./I don't think so./I think not. ◆—I don't think I can walk any further. —Neither can I.Let's stop here for a rest. hope, guess,be afraid的否定形式只能用 not 的形式,不能用not...so的形式。 ◆—The boys are not doing a good job at all,are they? —I guess not. (1)—Will it be sunny tomorrow? —I think so(我想是的).The weather forecast said the rain would stop tonight.
