ChatGPT was released (发布) by a company called OpenAI. Is ChatGPT going to change the world? Let’s learn what exactly it is.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a computer program that can understand and reply to human language. It can be used for things like having a conversation or finishing a sentence. Even the sentence that you are reading now was written by ChatGPT.
That’s right. I asked ChatGPT to write a paragraph including a basic explanation of ChatGPT in simple words and it came up with that explanation of itself on its own.
What’s amazing is that it seems to be a human in its ability to understand questions and answer them well. “Write a story about Boris Johnson in the style of Roald Dahl,” you can ask it, and it’ll show you a pretty good children’s story. “Write a list of reasons why London is better than New York,” and it’ll explain how London is more historic and has better public transport.
One area where I’ve found it mostly useful is that it can write computer code (代码). Unlike the English language, when you write code, it has to be very exact and carefully structured. But when I asked ChatGPT to write me a program that would put some data into a database (数据库) for me, within seconds it showed something that would have taken me hours to do.
It isn’t, however, completely human-like. For example, it sometimes shows things that sound true, but are just nonsense. And it can’t do maths. Though it is better at some tasks than others, its ability to rhyme (押韵) still needs to be improved.
It doesn’t replace the human completely, but it does many things quicker. In the same way, it’s easy to imagine in the future every time we write something, we may have an unbelievably smart AI helper helping us get started. So I completely believe that ChatGPT or something like it is going to change the world. Our computers will no longer be just a machine, but our partner too. So maybe now you have to worry about whether you can keep your job.
70. How does the writer develop the part of “What is ChatGPT?”?
A. By giving examples. B. By listing numbers.
C. By drawing pictures. D. By asking questions.
71. What do we know about ChatGPT?
A. It can write a computer program within several hours.
B. It was released by a computer program called OpenAI.
C. It’ll replace the human completely in the future in all fields.
D. It’s a computer program that can understand humans’ language.
72. What might the writer continue to write at the end of the passage?
A. The risks ChatGPT brings to our job.
B. The influences ChatGPT has on our bodies.
C. The reasons why we refuse to use ChatGPT.
D. The questions we may have while using ChatGPT.
【答案】70. A 71. D 72. A

“A quiet life is the best, son,” he said. “Please stay with your mother and me. Your brother left us and we never saw him again. We don’t want to lose you. I’ll help you. ” He had tears in his eyes.

Recently, the topic of “pre-made food in schools” has caused a hot discussion. China’s Ministry of Education has warned against schools serving precooked meals to students, after parents complained they may be unhealthy and unsafe for children to eat.
Teenagers need to eat food that is good for their bodies while they’re still young so that they will grow up to be healthy adults. So it is necessary for school cafeterias (食堂) to provide nutritious and healthy food. With this in mind, the government has introduced a new food safety rule that will improve nutrition and health standards in schools.
The rule requires the heads of primary and middle schools to eat with students in their cafeterias. Schools will also be required to show the public the information about food sources and suppliers (供应商). The rule also suggests that parents should eat with students at school in order to provide advice on food safety and nutrition. Schools must try to find food safety problems and solve them in a timely manner.
The most recent example happened in March at the Chengdu No. 7 High School Development School. Parents posted videos and photos of moldy (发霉的) food that was served in the schools’ cafeteria, China Daily reported. Finally, the head of the school was fired.
It isn’t however, completely human-like.
D The questions we may have while using ChatGPT.
