“Are you feeling well, Mama?” Dad asks Grandma. “How are your knees?”

The Torch (火把) Festival is a traditional festival among some ethnic groups in China. People of the Yi, Bai, Lisu, Naxi and Lahu in south-western China celebrate this festival. The Torch Festival usually falls on the 24th or 25th day of June of the lunar calendar, with three days of celebrations.
